A £40 per person deposit is required to reserve a booking, plus the premium for our travel Insurance (should you require it). A confirmation of your booking will then be sent to you by email (Or by post if requested) and will show when the remaining balance is payable.

Enjoy a short break to Cornwall whilst staying in a luxury 4-star hotel and spa. We also manage to visit four upscale towns whilst in Cornwall: St Ives, Padstow, Falmouth, and Fowey. This hotel has received amazing feedback for the last three years and this year it is over a weekend.

Friday To Cornwall and we make our first stop in Padstow. It is set around a charming harbour with cobbled streets at the head of the River Camel and is also known as a foodie destination with its links to Rick Stein.

Saturday We enjoy a circular tour of the tip of Cornwall with stops in the towns of Falmouth and St Ives. Falmouth has been shaped and influenced by its strong connection to the sea, combining a fascinating maritime heritage with modern creativity. St Ives is the dazzling jewel in Cornwall’s crown with a picturesque harbour and narrow cobbled streets to explore.

Sunday The holiday is not over as we make an extended lunchtime stop in the beautiful town of Fowey, with great views across the estuary.

Experience all that Cornwall has to offer whilst based in this lovely hotel in the quaint Cornish Coastal village of St Agnes. Lots of the scenic local area is used in the TV drama Poldark. Our February holiday has a Winter Warmer package so Sherry Reception, Afternoon Cream Tea and a glass of wine with dinner on our final evening.

First Day We follow the Atlantic Highway through Devon to Cornwall with a lunchtime stop in the Devon town of Bideford. Tours whilst at resort

A | To the south coast of Cornwall and we visit Falmouth in its beautiful position on the estuary, which is the deepest in Western Europe. On our return we make a short stop in Porthleven, an unspoilt fishing harbour steeped in history.

B | We pass through Perranporth and travel along the north coast of Cornwall and after enjoying the scenic coastal drive we make a stop in Padstow. Padstow has a lovely setting by the Camel Estuary where narrow streets lead to the harbour. Later, we visit Truro, the county town of Cornwall.

C | We enjoy views of Mount’s Bay, overlooked by the beautiful St Michael’s Mount, before arriving at Land’s End where we make a short stop in this dramatic location. Then the coastal route to St Ives. St Ives is described as the jewel in Cornwall’s crown and has a picturesque fishing harbour.

D | We call at Charlestown, a pristine, unspoiled example of a Georgian working port. Poldark dock scenes are filmed here. Later we call at Mevagissey, a resort much favoured by artists for its great character.

Last Day We return by a different route and remain in Cornwall with a lunchtime stop in the historic fishing port of Looe, where two rivers create a tidal harbour. The bustling harbour is the hub of the town and home to fishing vessels as well as pleasure craft.

We get to grips with the region’s famed fishing villages, from the historic Boscastle to the foodie-friendly Padstow, with a stroll around Clovelly’s car-free cobbled streets for good measure. We tick off some super sights too, including Tintagel Castle and Landhydrock House & Gardens. This tour operated for the first time in 2022 with great feedback, this year we stay at the 3-star Lanhydrock Hotel.

Thursday Our first taste of Cornwall as we visit Polperro, where picturesque and tightly packed cottages appear to tumble down to the harbour, before continuing to our hotel where we are met with hot drinks.

Tours whilst at resort

A | We spend the morning in the picturesque fishing village of Clovelly, a charming place that has not had motor vehicles since the 1920s! Resident donkeys and sledges are used to transport goods around the village. Then to Bude, a seaside resort surrounded by wild coastline and gorgeous beaches.

B | To Boscastle which for many years was the only accessible harbour in over forty-miles of craggy coastline and is full of history. Then to Tintagel, famous for its castle which is entwined with the legend of King Arthur and there is now an iconic bridge linking it with the headland. We haven’t included entry as it is not advised for those with limited mobility, but we will be here long enough to give you time to visit. If you would prefer to stay in the village there is a myriad of shops and cafes to explore.

C | To the magnificent Lanhydrock House and Gardens where we can see the two sides of Victorian lives, from the servant quarters to the luxurious family areas. We can also amble around the impressive gardens, over 1,000 acres with woodland and tranquil riverside paths to wander. Later to Padstow, a charming fishing port and a foodie destination ever since Rick Stein opened his first restaurant here in 1975.

Monday A different route home as we follow the Atlantic Highway through Cornwall and Devon to a lunchtime stop in the Devon town of Bideford.
