Sidmouth is a beautiful coastal town with a regency feel which is ideal for visitors of all ages. Set in the middle of spectacular countryside Sidmouth is home to beautiful beaches, stylish eating places and great shopping, with everything from unusual gifts to lifestyle goods available. PLEASE NOTE: THE HOTEL IS NOT DOING AN TURKEY & TINSEL ITINERARY.

First Day We travel to Devon and make an extended lunchtime stop of three hours in Exeter, one of the most vibrant, attractive, and historically interesting cities in England.

A | Along the Jurassic Coast and our first stop is West Bay, known to many as Broadchurch with spectacular scenery, shops and eateries around the small, picturesque harbour and the 240m long Jurassic Pier. Later we visit Lyme Regis, a sparkling resort for all seasons with breathtaking scenery and a special mystique.

B | Taking in views of Torbay and the Exe Estuary with its fine views, we visit Dawlish and Teignmouth, two contrasting seaside resorts. We return to our hotel by following the coastal route via Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton.

C | A free day to explore Sidmouth. In the afternoon there is an optional trip to the nearby Donkey Sanctuary if you wish (free admission but a donation is appreciated).

Last Day We return home with a lunch time stop in Wells, a compact ‘city’ with cobbled streets, medieval architecture, and a market square.

Surrounded by stunning coast and countryside, the towns of Torquay and Paignton offer fantastic all year-round holidays for everyone. All with fine views over Torbay with its vivid blue sea and sky. As well as the beautiful coastline, our tours will show us much of Devon’s enchanting countryside.

First Day To Devon and a lunch time stop in Dawlish, a traditional seaside town, with a wonderful golden sand beach on its doorstep. The town offers a range of amusements and is centred around The Lawn and Brook, which is home to the famous black swans.

A | We visit Dartmouth in its beautiful setting between steep hills and the picturesque harbour. Then a highlight of the holiday as we follow the picturesque coast road with great views of Blackpool sands, known as nature’s golden beach with clear blue water surrounded by magnificent evergreens and pines. We also pass Slapton Sands, with its WWII tank, and Kingsbridge on a truly memorable drive. Later we stop in Totnes, a captivating town set on one of Britain’s most picturesque waterways.

B | To Teignmouth, a stunning coastal town with historic, Georgian buildings, long sandy beaches, and fresh, local food. In the afternoon we visit Brixham, a quintessential English harbour town with colourful houses surrounding the harbour bowl. There is also a half-mile long breakwater that protects the town, which you can walk along with great views.

Last Day We return home with a stop in Wells. A place with a historic centre, magnificent cathedral, and a unique, moated Bishop’s Palace.

Weymouth, Dorset Coast & The New Forest

Looking for a holiday by the sea with beautiful scenery? Then look no further, Weymouth is the perfect holiday destination! With beautiful golden sands sprinkled with deckchairs, safe shallow waters, and a pretty harbour side, you certainly will not be disappointed. Great entertainment all week on this holiday!

Monday Heading for Weymouth we call at Christchurch where Monday is market day. Tours whilst at resort

A | Along the Jurassic Coast with stops in West Bay and Lyme Regis. West Bay is a charming fishing village that has enjoyed a surge in popularity since Broadchurch was filmed there. Lyme Regis boasts breathtaking scenery and a special mystique. Its a historic Cobb and harbour are iconic features. We return with a scenic drive alongside Chesil Beach and take a ride onto the Isle of Portland with great views.

B | Onto the scenic ‘isle’ of Purbeck and we make a lunch time stop in Swanage, it has a promenade backed by attractions with great views. Later we make a stop on the quayside in Poole and, if it is operating we travel by the Sandbank Ferry.

Friday We make our way to our mystery destination making suitable stops enroute.

A | A market town, a town famous for cheese and a great drive across a national park.

B | Two stops in a different national park and lots of water! (hopefully not rain)

Monday We return home with suitable stops.
