We see the great coastal scenery in this area of West Wales and the Cliff Hotel & Spa offers a great package including the offer for all guests to have one hour’s use of the spa each day for no additional cost!

Monday Following a lunchtime stop in Abergavenny we enjoy a scenic journey via the Brecon Beacons to West Wales and our hotel.

Tuesday Into Pembrokeshire National Park and we follow the scenic coast road from Haverford West through to St David’s for a lunch time stop. This is a beautiful and unique city surrounded by some of the finest coastline in Europe. We then continue on the coastal road via Fishguard to return to our hotel.

Wednesday Following the coast road northwards today, with its picturesque villages that cling to the sides of the hills rising above the blue waters of Cardigan Bay, we make our way to Aberystwyth, nestling between three hills and two beaches. Aberystwyth has much to offer including shopping, promenade, cliff railway and an observatory.

Thursday To the south coast and we make stops in Tenby and Saundersfoot. Tenby has glorious beaches, a warm atmosphere and fine Victorian houses and shops. Saundersfoot is a popular destination and has an increasing reputation for gourmet food. Friday Home with a stop at The Mumbles, undoubtedly one of the finest seaside villages in the UK.

Pembrokeshire Coast, Tenby Turkey & Tinsel

Monday A lunchtime stop in Abergavenny and a lovely drive through the Brecon Beacons to Tenby.

Tuesday A grand circular tour of Pembrokeshire starts as we travel over Cleddau Bridgeand, and then travel along the coast road known for its ’Seventeen Hills in Sixteen Miles’. It takes us through Newgale Pebble Beach and the quaint little village of Solva to St. David’s, where we make a lunch time stop. Maybe view the cathedral, the largest in Wales and built on a lovely stretch of coastline. We continue along the Irish Sea Coast to Fishguard and our return to Tenby is over the Preseli Mountains.

Wednesday Another day exploring Pembrokeshire as we take a beautiful morning drive along the coast through Penally and Lydstep to St Govans. We continue through Merrion, Hundleton, and Pembroke on to our lunchtime stop in Saundersfoot, a fishing village at the foot of a picturesque wooded valley.

Thursday Free to explore Tenby and later the hotel provides an afternoon of fun (if you wish to join in) and a complementary cream tea.

Friday We head towards home with a stop in Cardiff, with unique attractions and quality shopping, all in walking distance.

Carols at the Royal Albert Hall Plus Christmas in London

Join us in the spectacular surroundings of the Royal Albert Hall for the finest sing-along carol concert of the season. The presenters, orchestras and choirs have not yet been announced but are always of great standing. We also have plenty of time to explore London at this special time of year including a tour of the famous Christmas lights.

Wednesday To London and you can choose to be dropped either in Kensington (close to the museums) or Park Lane (close to the shops). And you can of course explore further afield if you wish by public transport. We check into our hotel at 18:00, evening meal is not included but the hotel has a restaurant or you are close to Kensington High Street with plenty of options.

Thursday Following a relaxed breakfast we check out and our coach will take us to Covent Garden. Or if you prefer you can stay near the hotel which is close to Kensington High Street, Notting Hill, Natural History Museum, Harrods, Hyde Park etc. and we are a five-minute walk from a tube station. Then the highlight of the holiday as we attend the 15:00 performance of carols at the Albert Hall. We return after the show. PLEASE NOTE: DINNER IS NOT INCLUDED BUT THERE ARE NUMEROUS EATING OPTIONS NEARBY.

Devon, Cornwall & Dartmoor for Christmas

Plymouth is perfectly situated for Devon and Cornwall, plus the hotel is a short walk from the Barbican and iconic Mayflower Steps. A very popular hotel so book quickly as it will sell out!

Saturday To Plymouth where we are met with tea, coffee and cake on our arrival.

Christmas Eve Over the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall and we visit the historic town of Looe where two rivers meet. The town is centred around the harbour. We return to the hotel for a buffet lunch.

Christmas Day Enjoy a morning at leisure or maybe take a stroll along The Hoe to work up an appetite. There will be board games available all day, plus Christmas biscuits with the King’s Speech and in the evening entertainment plus a buffet style dinner.

Boxing Day We enjoy a morning visit to Dartmoor passing through Princetown and Tavistock with a short stop in one of them. Then back to the hotel for lunch and why not visit the sales in Drakes Circus ? Or visit the historic Barbican area of Plymouth in the afternoon.

Wednesday We return home with a short stop.
