4-star hotels in Blackpool & Harrogate!

5 Days - Mon 4th September 2023

+£36 Single Supplement

Includes three National Parks & a narrowboat ride!

If you can’t decide between coast and country, then choose this tour which shows you the best of both whilst staying in two fabulous 4-star hotels. Blackpool is Britain’s largest holiday resort with a flat six-mile promenade and three piers. The trams on the seafront are the only survivors of their kind in England. Harrogate is a pleasant spa town famous for its tea shops, antique shops, and Turkish baths. On our change over day, we have also included a canal boat ride in Skipton.

Monday Direct to Blackpool, with a quick toilet stop, so that we have time to enjoy the town before our evening dinner.

Tuesday We travel in to the Lake District where we pass Windermere before making a short stop in Bowness. Then we pass the lakes of Grasmere and Rydal before our afternoon stop in Keswick. Great scenery all day and after dinner we enjoy a tour of the Illuminations.

Wednesday Through the Forest of Bowland and into the Yorkshire Dales and we make a stop in the historic market town of Skipton. Whilst here there is free time to explore plus we have an hour-long guided tour on the canal with commentary and tea / coffee. Then more fabulous Dale scenery as we pass through Grassington and Leyburn en-route to our hotel.

Thursday A circular tour of the Yorkshire Moors starts as we climb Sutton Bank and then offer a short stop in Pickering. We then travel high into the Moors before dropping down to the resort of Whitby, a maritime city steeped in history, with its maze of narrow streets full of shops. Our circular scenic tour of the moors continues as we return via Guisborough.

Friday Free time to explore Harrogate until 2pm when we make our way south.

Northern Dramas

5 Days - Thu 28th

+£80 Single Supplement

September 2023

Includes Coronation Street: The Tour, Last of the Summer Wine with a local guide and Emmerdale locations, with a guide. And then meet a cast member in The Woolpack!

Yorkshire has rolling dales and stunning vistas, colourful towns, and quaint villages so it is no wonder that many of the most famous settings have been used in major TV and film dramas. We take in three of the most famous TV shows plus pass plenty of other sites of interest from other shows and films.

Thursday We head north and into the Southern Pennines for a late lunch time stop in Hebden Bridge. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, this market town has been voted ‘greatest town in Europe’, ‘best small market town in the UK and ‘fourth funkiest town in the world!’ Then across the Pennines to our hotel. Tours whilst at resort

A | Emmerdale Our guide takes us on a four-hour tour through scenic countryside where we will discover some of the locations used in the filming of Emmerdale. The tour includes a visit to the market town of Otley, known as Hotten in the soap. We continue to Esholt where much of the filming of Emmerdale took place before a replica village was built. The tour ends with a cold buffet in the Woolpack Inn with a star from the show.

B | Coronation Street Our chance to explore the sensational external sets at MediaCityUK, open to the public for the very first time. Our eighty-minute experience will take in Coronation Street, Rosamund Street and the newly extended, never before seen Victoria Street. Wander through Weatherfield on a fully guided tour of the working set. Recall stories from yesteryear, hear filming secrets, take selfies on the street, and follow in the footsteps of your favourite characters. We will also spend time in Uppermill, surrounded by the stunning Saddleworth Moor on the edge of the Pennines.
