Eastbourne is famous for its lush rolling landscapes, stunning beaches, and iconic chalk sea cliffs. One holiday stays at the Cumberland Hotel, one of Eastbourne’s premier hotels. It commands a wonderful position on the seafront overlooking the promenade, bandstand and beautiful Victorian pier. The other is at the 3-star Best Western a mere twenty yards from the sea front. Both are a short walk from the town centre.

First Day We make a lunch time stop in Arundel where thousands of years of history combine with independent shops and cafes. Tours whilst in resort

A | A busy but fascinating day as we travel to Rye, an unspoilt town rising above the surrounding countryside with good views across the marshes. Then to the delightful market town of Battle that grew up around the Abbey and has history dating back to 1066.

B | We start our day with a spectacular drive across Beachy Head to vibrant and colourful Brighton, where you will find a treasure trove of things to do from seaside fun on the pier to the stunning heritage of the Royal Pavilion. Plus, great shops! We then make an afternoon stop in the small village of Alfriston in the Cuckmere Valley, an ancient village full of history.

Last Day We head home with a stop in Chichester, nestled at the foot of the South Downs.
