THE POWER OF SOCIAL MEDIA Social media exceeded being an interesting tool to keep in touch, or follow up with your friends, or even know the latest news before anyone else regarding your subject of interest. We all saw the impact of social media in bringing down leaders and presidents, and deciding the future of nations. The social media is not a parallel world to reality or a mere escape to people, who over-use it, and it starts affecting their real life relationships and social life negatively, it became a power; a real power that is able to change reality and have a very influential impact on it. For example, the controversial TV Presenter Reham Saeed was forced to resign and her show stopped because of the campaign that spread like fire calling for boycotting the products that advertise in her show, which made them all literally write on their (again) social media pages that they have nothing to do with the content of the show. Not only that, but they will not be the sponsors of the show anymore. In an attempt to encourage them, Bassem Youssef who is a star on social media, despite not appearing on TV anymore (has more than a million follower), decided to support the campaign by making a mention to every company that stops sponsoring Reham Saeed’s show, which led the channel to stop her program. All these incidents happened in the past, but recently what

made me cherish the value of social media even more is its amazing charity influence. A post that was spread on Facebook about a young man called Abdel Rahman, who suffers from cancer and his family spent every penny they have to treat him, but doctors said the case is too complicated, and that he has to take his medical treatment in France, which will cost thousands of Euros. The family at this point became helpless, and a girl knew about the case posted it with his picture before and after and his medical reports asking anyone who know famous businessmen like Naguib Sawiris or Ahmed Abou Hashima to help him. In less than a couple of hours, the post was spread like fire and reached Ahmed Abou Hashima, who after his team made sure of the case and that it is not a forge, decided to help him by taking charge of all expenses. A couple of days and we saw a picture spreading again on the mighty Facebook with Ahmed Abou Hashima personally hand in hand with Abdel Rahman, who asked to see him before he travels to France to thank him. Social media can do wonders and much more than just sharing pictures, it doesn’t cease to surprise me, I wonder what would be the next step! Ramadan Kareem everyone, and I would love to thank Ahmed Abou Hashima for the great generosity he showed and the quick response to Abdel Rahman, who we all wish him a speedy recovery.

How do you see the hair styling industry in Egypt? And how is it different elsewhere? It’s more or less the same, but with different cultures. The hair colours in Egypt are somehow different than in Europe for example because as Egyptian women have different skin tone than European women. And every hair stylist has a vision of how to choose the right colour for each face. The social media has spread the in looks, and the stylist adjusts them according to each client’s needs. I was extremely happy when I came to Egypt and found that the hair stylists here are professional and up to the standards, and the best thing about Egyptian women is that they are very eager to try new looks and haircuts. What is the biggest mistake Egyptian women make with their hair? Many Egyptian women like to go very blonde colours, which is the extreme opposite of their natural dark colour. What are your tips to protect hair from summer damage? Pro Fiber is one of the best products for hair damage repair. L’Oreal offer many hair oils that are healthy for the hair. Also, you should use hair masks and put a hot towel on it for a while, which is a great solution for hair damage.

Cannes nomination, Box office hit movie, and the most talked about TV serial what else could anyone ask for, this Ramadan Amira Tharwat talks to the one and only Nelly Karim to celebrate with her the success of her latest movie ‘Eshtbak,’ and the positive reviews it received at Cannes Film Festival, her special appearance in the box office hit ‘Hepta,’ and her most anticipated TV serial ‘Sokot Hor.’

Congrats for ‘Sokot Hor,’ how did the idea come about? I sat with script writer Mariam Naoum after the success of last Ramadan TV serial ‘Taht El Saytara’ and discussed our next story, Mariam suggested the story of ‘Sokot Hor,’ and I liked the idea of playing the role of a psychologically ill patient and we started working on it. Did you meet real patients to learn more about the details of the psychological illness? Mastering the role doesn’t necessarily mean dealing with the likes of the character I play, as long as the script is written professionally; I just have to read it carefully. Also, Dr. Nabil El Kot, who we worked with in last year’s serial ‘Taht El Saytara,’ has helped me with every detail that concerns a psychological patient. You and Mariam Naoum are a duet, how far do you feel the script affects the success of the actor? This is our fifth cooperation together; of course, the script is very important, but I believe all the elements of any work starting from a good script to a good director to a good cast would result in a successful work, not just the script or the actor, it is a whole project that consists of several elements that they all must complete one another. You are keen on being the voice of the unheard, prisoners, drug addicts and now people who suffer psychological illness, do you intend to do so, or you just like the story? I don’t really see it that way, I just act a character I like and a story I believe in.

What are the other characters you dream of presenting on TV? It depends on my mood and how I feel, maybe next serial would be comedy or romantic or I won’t even do a TV serial, it depends on how I would feel after finishing shooting ‘Sokot Hor,’ and receive the feedback of the audience. If you were chosen by the UN as a Goodwill Ambassador, what would be the cause you will support? Definitely, anything related to children especially kidnapping, this hurts me the most and unfortunately, the cases are increasing in Egypt these days. Apart from your TV serial, what are the other serials you are keen to watch? A lot of serials such as, Yousra’s TV serial, Tarek Lotfy’s serial, Khaled El Sawy, Adel Emam, Ghada Abdel Razik, actually there are a lot of interesting TV serials this year.

How do you feel that being out of a non pleasing relationship adds to you? Of course, the reflection is positive and it adds a lot to me. Describe your prince charming… It is not about the certain qualities I look for in a man, to me commitment and marriage is pure fate I totally believe in that. What is your favourite perfume? I don’t have a special perfume I always wear, it depends on my mood, but in general I like light scents. What inspires you when it comes to fashion? In general, I like simple designs; the simpler the better. Is it true that you design your own accessories? Yes, I love designing my own accessories since I was a kid, I love anything related to handmade and I enjoy designing it. ‘Hepta’ broke records, how were you nominated for the role? Actually, Maged El Kedwany whom I adore on both the personal and the professional level is the one who convinced me to play as a guest of honour, and I accepted without hesitation. I loved his role as a guest of honor in ‘Taht El Saytara,’ and I couldn’t say no.

LOUNGE 39

According to ‘Hepta,’ which stage you think you are in right now? (Laughs) I am not in any stage right now as I am not in a relationship. What do you feel about the amazing reviews of your latest movie ‘Eshtebak’? The movie is amazing and I want to thank Director Mohamed Diab for his amazing work, this is our second cooperation after ‘678,’ and I am extremely happy to be part of this success. How was it received in Cannes? It was received with amazing positive reviews, all the international press praised the movie and wrote positive reviews about it, which is a great thing. What is your response to people who criticize the movie before watching it? This is something that is extremely normal now and I expected it anyway. When would it be out? I don’t know, but I hope it will be out in the Egyptian cinemas soon.

Dhaffer L’Abidine

The Exit a

mira Tharwat goes behind the scenes with Dhaffer L’Abidine in his latest TV serial ‘El Khorog.’ The Tunisian star reveals in an up-close & personal interview all about the role, his love for Egyptian food, why his 6 year old daughter doesn’t watch him acting and his surprising role in the feast…

Tell us more about your role in ‘El Khorog..’ I play the role of a police officer who loves his work, but his heart is broken, something happened to him that changed his life upside down. It’s a thriller action TV serial; however, it conveys an important deep message that is hard to be tackled through an action TV serial, which is the thing I like the most about the serial. This is your first leading role, how do you feel about it? I don’t really consider it my first leading role. Also, this TV serial we are all heroes in our roles so, I have a great cast participating with me in the serial. You act in the serial opposing to Tunisian actress Dorra, does being from the same country reflect chemistry on the screen? I think if actors work hard and study their roles correctly, you will feel this harmony and chemistry on screen regardless of our nationality. I played with a lot of stars not just Dorra and we were not from the same country, but you felt this chemistry as well because we worked hard and studied the character well. How was the atmosphere behind the scenes? It was really fun. We have a great lovely group of actors plus, the action and the emotions in the serial make it really fun. It is an action TV serial, did you shoot the difficult scenes yourself or did you use a double? No, actually I did all the stunts myself, the very first scene I shot was a very serious move, where I was on the top of the roof and I had to jump, it was not easy at all, but I like that this was the first scene, and so, I was

LOUNGE 42

already engaged in the action and there was no way back (laughs). Any injuries? Not yet thank God! Apart from ‘El Khorog,’ what is the TV serial you are keen on watching this Ramadan? There are a lot of serials actually, I am so excited to watch Dr. Yehia El Fakharany’s TV serial ‘Wanos,’ it is really nice, ‘Afrah El Oba’ is also appealing to watch. You used to live in London, did you settle in Cairo now? Not really, I still live there, but I am in between, I spend 5 months here and the rest of the year there depending on the shooting. Do your family, wife and kid, accompany you? No, my family still lives there as Yasmine my 6 year old girl is in school so, it is hard for her to move back and forth. Does Yasmine watch your work? What does she tell you? Actually, she is too young to watch the TV serials I participate in, but one day when she grows a little older I will let her watch my work. What does your wife feel about you being voted and commented on as the most handsome star? Actually, she doesn’t see me that way (laughs). To her I am only her husband, and as long as I don’t feel that nor does she then, we are fine (smiles). What is the most interesting comment you received from a fan? It is always good to have positive feedback from the viewers especially when it is about the role I play not about how I look.

How do you stay fit and are you into boxing? I love boxing, it is a tough and demanding sport, but I don’t play it professionally, I go to the gym regularly, I like sports in general and being muscular active. I prefer walking than driving or taking the stairs better than the lift. Describe a typical day for you in Ramadan? Actually, Ramadan is very stressful because probably we will be still shooting in Ramadan, and we finish every day at 3 pm then break for an hour, and start shooting again till 3 am, I try to spend Ramadan with friends. What is your favourite food? I love fish; I also love Egyptian food a lot like Mahshy, Molokhya and Mombar. Being British, does your wife know how to cook Egyptian food? I’ve never asked her to (laughs). I don’t want her to ruin the taste of the Egyptian food. She is a good cook, but I would rather order ready cooked food; better and easier. What is your comment on the political scene in Tunisia and Egypt nowadays? After the revolution, it is normal that it takes time to get things back to normal; it is merely a transitional phase. Tell us more about your first cinema experience in ‘Esmat Abou Shanab…’ It is a comedy movie, I participated in a comedy role before but abroad and it is always fun to do. Also, the director of ‘Esmat Abou Shanab’ is very good and Yasmine Abdel Aziz is a very successful comedian, it is a situational comedy and I really enjoyed it, we couldn’t stop laughing behind the scenes. When is the releasing date? Supposedly, in the coming feast. What else are you working on? There is an American movie that I will participate in next year.

mira Tharwat talks to the Award winning Egyptian photographer Hossam El Manadily, who was able through his lens to capture the genuine Egyptian features to preserve the Egyptian identity, and show the shinny positive side of Egypt. The Akhbar El Youm journalist photographer shares with us some of his unique photos, how his passion for photography began, his tips for young photographers, his photography course and his exhibition in Japan‌

LOUNGE 50

Introduce yourself to Lounge readers I am Hossam El Manadily, a journalist at Akhbar El Youm. I started working as a professional photographer since 2012, and I enriched my talent with studying and attending courses. Then, I established a group of photography lovers on the Internet and named it “Photon” in 2013, the group aimed to stress the beauty of Egypt through the camera and teaching the different skills of photography then, I joined Akhbar El Youm institute last June till now I am still working at the photography department. How did your passion for photography came about? My passion started since I was a kid, I’ve always loved having a new camera till I started to follow my dream in 2012. What kind of photographer you label yourself as? I am the type of photographer who takes photography as his passion and is willing to lose his life, health, relationships, for it. This is the hardworking type that usually doesn’t make money out of photography, but this is the kind that makes a name in the field. Your works mostly depict the Egyptian historical scenes and the Egyptian faces with all its details, why did you choose documenting that through your lenses in particular? My passion for Egyptian historical scenes immerges from the treasures we have in Egypt that unfortunately we don’t value enough nor take care of it. I was keen on learning all the details behind every historical place I take photos of. As for the Egyptian faces of simple people that are beautiful inside out, what I love about it is that it is expressive and represents the genuine Egyptian who didn’t lose his look or identity.

You are a journalist photographer and you work at Akhbar El Youm, what is the difference between you and the general photographer? A journalist photographer documents a certain atmosphere or event and he has to be more aware of the surroundings and the occasion than the artistic photographer. Do you believe that the photos of a good photographer should be judged before adding any photoshop to it? Both complete one another, so it is ok for the photographer to use photoshop to make his photos better, it is an art as well. Nowadays, everybody who buys a Canon professional camera calls himself a photographer, are you pro or against that? Actually, I love the fact that photography in general is spreading in Egypt and I hope to see a lot of photographers it pleases me. Do you feel that photography is not appreciated yet in Egypt as a form of art? I agree with you that it is not valued in Egypt by most people except those who value a beautiful piece of art.

art

I noticed that you insist on printing the photos of simple people you take photos of and give it to them‌ These people are the heroes of my photo so the least I could do is to print a copy and give it back to them. Your lenses capture a beautiful picture out of a very simple person despite the poverty and even the wrinkles on the face, how do you think we can practice our eyes to get the best out of our surroundings no matter how unpleasant it is? Those people are beautiful but you have to get closer to them, they are very kind but the photographer has to break the ice between him and the person to get the best photo of him, as for your second part of the question I believe that Egypt is a different and beautiful place we just need to forget about our problems and look around us we will find beauty everywhere that our eyes were not practiced to see it.

Tell us more about the rewards you won… I won the first prize at the National Geographic Egyptian Youth Award 2015 at the Egyptian shots category. Also I won the jury’s prize at Beautiful Egypt competition by The State Information Service and the last but not least the first prize at the Cultural Harafish Coffee shop award in 2014 Alleys from Egypt category in 2014. You started giving photography course at Akhbar El Youm institution how did the idea come about? The idea started in 2013 as courses is my original job I love spreading photography culture through giving courses and workshops and the idea started when I started working at Akhbar El Youm. What is your advice to young photographers who want to head to universality? To learn as much as they can about photography, take a lot of photos and to visually feed their eyes to know how to tell the difference between a good and a bad shot to enhance their level in photography. Would you consider doing an exhibition for your photos soon? Actually there is an exhibition for me right now in Japan as a part of the Egyptian Gallery exhibition held in Japan through ‘Cairo International Station’ magazine which is the only Egyptian magazine published in Japan. The magazine cooperated with the Japanese government to hold an exhibition in the different metro stations in Japan to show the Egyptian art in order to flourish tourism and spread the Egyptian culture in Japan. Japan’s metro stations are known to be the most crowded in the world by Guinness records as in 2013 it contained 33 million passengers which guarantee that our photographs will be seen by a huge number of people where the exhibition is held from the 7th to the 21st of May.

The Nile-Ritz Carlton, Cairo

Executive Chef

Khaled Ibrahim There is no better place to celebrate Ramadan with your friends and family than The Nile-Ritz Carlton, Cairo having the opportunity to enjoy the best food in town, the great atmosphere and the very Ramadany programs. Executive Chef Khaled Ibrahim this Ramadan promises us to spend a different, extraordinary month offering exquisite Iftars and Suhours. Reem El Shennawi speaks to Khaled Ibrahim about him moving from the United States to join The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo, the success behind the hotel’s kitchen and Ramadan…

Tell me more about yourself My name is Khaled Ibrahim, I was born in Cairo and lived the United States. I have been an Executive Chef for the Ritz Carlton for 3 years, and this is the third branch I join. I’m married and have 2 boys, I am a scuba diver and I love cooking and love to make people happy. How did you shift from Miami to Egypt? Actually, I was appointed by the cooperate to come open The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo because I’m originally Egyptian and so, I am familiar with the culture and at the same time, I understand the American company and how the business goes, which would make the perfect results as I would be able to balance between the company’s philosophy and the culture. I also thought it would be a great opportunity for my kids to learn the language, see the culture and their family members. How does The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo’s kitchen differ than other Ritz Carlton’s kitchen elsewhere? The only thing that differs is the products, Egypt doesn’t have the amount of variety of products that are available elsewhere, and we unfortunately have very limited variety of products. What is special about the kitchen? We strive to create art, or in other words a memory. We try to do our best to highlight the ingredients, we make sure to buy the best quality of products, cook with the right and best technique, and of course, present it perfectly; it’s like harmony come together. I like to do things that are not ordinary. How did the industry changed in Egypt

LOUNGE 54

over the past few years? I believe that it changed a lot, and I believe that the social media has played a big role in this change as well as the education, the access to the Internet and the social media has educated us more than before. We now know what we are eating, the ingredients, the calories, the benefits and much more. Still, Europe for example is more aware of these things and they make sure to ask about the products before they buy them more than in Egypt, but I believe that this will be the case here soon, I can see it coming. Speaking of social media, people now share pictures,

which educate people more about food. All this make it more of a challenge for the chef to please the customer because as I mentioned, they are more educated than before. And how do you manage to meet the clients’ needs and expectations? In general, chefs like to cater what make them happy and what they like. We learnt over the past years that it’s not about the chef anymore, it’s about where is client is. For me, Egypt is a new market even though I was born here, but it’s different than the United States so, after the first menu was set I started

to get feedbacks, and accordingly I changed the menus as clients wanted more of certain dishes and ingredients. So, I do the menus the way people want them not the way I do. I learnt here that every dish has to have an Egyptian touch in a way. Egyptians for example love lots of lobster, smoked salmon and shrimps, so I make sure to be creative with seafood dishes. So basically, I cater to what they need. What is your favourite cuisine? Mediterranean in general, I love its simplicity and freshness of ingredients. What’s The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo signature dish? Now, we have the Ritz Carlton cake, which we are very proud of. This cake is available at every Ritz Carlton all over the world with the same standard, flavour, and package. The box of the cake is a piece of art; it actually costs more than the cake (laughs)! This is the first Ramadan for The Nile RitzCarlton, Cairo so, tell us more about the menus and the programs.. Ramadan will be a special month, an Arab chef has just joined our kitchen and he is one of the top chefs in Egypt, and he is going to be the highlight of Ramadan for us. Bab Al Sharq is opening its doors in Ramadan for both Iftar and Sohour. We are going to have a menu cycle of 10 days; for example, if you are coming to dine at night, you are going to be able to see the menu in the calendar, which makes clients more interactive with us. Also, Iftar is going to be a 10 day menu as well inside all day dining restaurants, which will include different dishes from different

countries. So, we are offering a variety of dishes this Ramadan and clients will be able to find their preferences whether in Bab Al Sharq or in the other dining restaurants in the hotel. You can also take the menu with you and get to mark your calendar with family and friends. How do you think you can add to The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo? I was very excited to come here in Egypt. The food in Egypt is misinterpreted, the concept of the restaurants is Egyptian, and so I was confused about the concept when I first came here. We have Lebanese cuisine, Moroccan cuisine..etc, but not an Egyptian cuisine. So, my aim is to deliver different vibe here, change people’s opinion about what to eat and how to eat as well as educate them about different foods. I’d also want to work with new suppliers to bring new and different products from different countries. I am also working on a project, which is called ‘Taste of the Nile,’ which is going to be here on the roof that will bring different chefs together in a competition bringing new products from different countries that will add to each and every chef and educate us more about different kitchens and cultures. What do you advice new chefs who are about to start up? First of all, respect the ingredients, and learn the best techniques. Believe that everything you cook you are feeding your family. Also, monitor the time is takes to receive the products from the farmer and to deliver to the table as we have a problem with agriculture.

Capricorn Dec.23 - Jan.20 The first half of June 2016 is pretty humdrum, your love or marriage could be affected by responsibilities and lack of time. Best case scenario, you and your loved one work together (studies, work) or join efforts to accomplish some common tasks. There’s also possibility of a work-place romance, or one that has to do with work. During the second part of the month things change radically. Relationships become a lot warmer, tenderer, and full of benevolence and understanding. Emotional availability is now greater and you encounter circumstances favourable toward the birth of a new love or relationship. This month lends you energy and brightness, makes you stand out, emphasizes your skills, and gives you more autonomy in your line of work.

Aquarius Jan.21 - Feb.19 Sensuality spills over in waves over June 2016! This month vitalizes and increases sexual energy, it predisposes toward romance, flirt, and love. Under such influence, June 2016 is open to all possibilities: declarations, propositions, new loves, refreshing the existing relationship, exploring new territories in the lands of emotional experiences and carnal sensations. You can expect a lot of fun because June 2016 encourages savoring pleasures of all kinds. Some blockages may also occur here and there but, if you want to be happy, it’s not worth it to pay them much attention.

Happy Birthday

Gemini LOUNGE 70

During the first part of June 2016, your interests revolve around home and family. You and your partner are probably preoccupied with your home and properties, or interact more with parents and relatives. Emotionally, you need privacy, peace, and security. This month heightens sexual prowess and amplifies the force of passion. It brings sensuality, romanticism, and power of seduction. It also carries in opportunity and creates favourable circumstances for love. Expect your interest and energy to focus on studies, knowledge, travels, foreign lands and long-distance activities. The insistent attention to these areas emphasizes their importance and shows that they are the areas in which you can encounter action, initiative, and decisions, but also agitation, conflicts, and struggles. Other than that, June 2016 is good for immovables and housework, but also for creative endeavors and entertainment. Financially, June 2016 is stressful and risky thus, manage your resources carefully!

Aries Mar.22 - Apr.20 In June 2016, conversations, message exchanges, and travels have a significant impact upon your relationships. This month could smooth the way for unexpected meetings or the beginning of a liaison based on common intellectual ground or interests. However, your love life could suffer from blockages, confused situations or over-the-top emotional reactions. After June 17 2016, emphasis is on intimacy, family, home, and the attempt to build an emotionally comfortable and secure environment. Regarding your career life, it’s time to draw a line and add things up, analyze how productive last months’ efforts have been, what you’ve earned, what you’ve lost. Draw conclusions, learn things! Even if the first two weeks of June 2016 aren’t particularly comfortable (more so the second week), by and large you seem to come out on top. Your career wheels are turning. Particularly those of the mind, because June 2016 is a month of ideas and initiatives, intellectual pursuits, creative work. You can also get satisfaction from activities to do with communication or commerce, manual labor, or work-related travels.

Apr.21 - May 21

May.22 - Jun.21

June 2016 will witness a significant interval that might be peppered with critical moments, testing your relationships (particularly those of the couple, but not only), and filtering the good from the bad. What’s of value survives and is strengthened. But don’t rush things! You can make the best decisions at the end of the month. You might not yet have all the required elements. Other than that, your relationships are very connected to money during the first part of the month, and during the second one they rely heavily on communication. June 2016 could also bring re-seeing, re-meeting, and so on. Also, this month has significant financial connotations. June is a very active month in terms of finances: you seek out new sources of income, buy, sell, and so on. You can come out winning with a little patience and attention. Otherwise, everything to do with your career is related to money.

June 2016 is a much better month for you than previous ones. Things have started to improve beginning with the last week of the previous month. This month releases a lot of tension from your love life; it brings you greater amorous availability, more sex-appeal, and luck in love or marriage. The second part of June 2016 is also beneficial, but more so for home and financial aspects of the relationship. June 2016 brings a visible improvement in your work relations (collaborations, associations), or at least it relaxes them. It also leads to a greater ease in socializing during the first half of the month that could result in new contracts or alliances. The second part of June 2016 is favourable for earnings and could bring you material gains. But, the desire to spend on pleasant yet useless items also grows. By and large, June 2016 is a month of success and achievements.

Things won’t change for the duration of June 2016. June 2016 opens old emotional sores or confronts you with atypical amorous situations, sometimes complicated, difficult, forcing you to reflect upon topics related to sexuality, free love, passion, adventure or even motherhood/fatherhood. So, it’s premature to make plans or decisions because you either miss some puzzle pieces, or circumstances will be unexpectedly altered. But, things start to get better after June 17 2016. The work environment is much calmer during June 2016 than previous months. Maybe you don’t enjoy fantastic efficiency or any resonating successes, but at least you don’t have to work under stress and on the go. June 2016 is good for analyzing and consolidating, maybe for reorganizing, re-branding, re-launching, re-promoting. If you prepare well, with patience and know-how, the last decan of June 2016 could begin to yield the results you hope for. And satisfactions will continue to come during July too.

June 2016 is not too generous in regard to the intimate, emotional side. Yes, it’s true, during the first part of the interval you have fun, socialize, and your couple retains somewhat of a balance, or at least you keep up appearances. But things aren’t as you desire them. There are tensions or de-synchronizations that, even if not too obvious, trouble you and make you ponder things. After June 17 2016, frustrations tend to be accentuated and you might experience disappointment, estrangement or a limitation of possibilities to decide rationally. On the other hand, at home it’s not too peaceful either. The stress or unpleasantness of June 2016 is related to home, household goods, parents, and various domestic obligations. June 2016 is an excellent month for group activities or work in an organization, regardless of it being an association, foundation, political party or club. You’re successful in public appearances and have the ability to bring together, influence or even lead large groups of people driven by common interests.

June 2016 is still generous with your love life. The first part of the month gives it extra power and could somehow tie your relationships to career and success. After June 17 2016, amorous opportunities arise, socializing offers new chances at relationshipblossoming, and the couple is ruled by tenderness, harmony, and optimism. It’s a favourable term for planning the future. There couldn’t be a better month for success in all of 2016! On the background already predisposed toward opportunities, June 2016 appears as a shining light of luck. The second part of June 2016 is very favourable in terms of popularity and support from others. All of it attracts success, and success attracts money, particularly during the second part of the term. Generally, during June 2016 you enjoy good physical shape. However, things could bring some health issues during the third week of the month.

Your love life last month’s complications could continue in June 2016. During June 2016, it seems that issues perturbing your life in two are of monetary nature. Earnings, money, valuables interfere with the emotional. Perhaps you and your partner need to be up to some financial challenges, or your partner has some such issues that alter the harmony between you two. Otherwise, the first part of June encourages romantic voyages, long-distance romances or spiritual-cultural communication in the couple. The second part of the month connects your relationship to career or social ambitions. In June 2016, activities that can yield satisfactions are studies, creative work, higher-education or cultural pursuits, long-distance collaborations, traveling for career or training, and import-export activities.

Nov.23 - Dec.22

The first part of June 2016 doesn’t seem to be too comfortable in terms of love-life as this period feeds various fears and worries, encourages overanalyzing and gives rise to suspicion and jealousy. You mustn’t give in to these tendencies, particularly not now, when warrior Mars is in Scorpio and is retrograde. Frustrations could quickly escalate into conflict, so careful! On June 17 2016, the climate in your relationship relaxes and refreshes. Now attractions can be stimulated by common spiritual or cultural interests and you could initiate a long-distance romance or travel for romance. Your professional path could be somewhat blocked during June. Mars, planet of initiative and action, is in Scorpio, but it’s in retrograde motion. So it can still mess up things when you least expect it. Careful particularly about financial interests that you share with someone: associates, partners, family, and so on! Other issues that you face during June 2016 seem to result from poor management of efforts. You need clear goals, strategy, and patience!

For you, June 2016 opens the way to love, the first two decans are animated and full of opportunities. The month spreads energy and emphasizes the importance of the relationship, making you think that your loved one is the center of the universe, that all galaxies revolve around them, but also all your plans and desires. It visibly heightens your thirst for love and your sex-appeal. It also brings you romantic opportunities. If you’re already in a steady relationship, you can expect peace, harmony, tenderness, and fulfillment. The period between June 1330 2016 stimulates communication between partners and could bring emotionally significant meetings and travels. From June until September, it’s of great advantage to climb the hierarchic ladder, set in motion grand-scale projects or enjoy various professional achievements.

amadan is all about religious resolutions, but this month, we tried to expand it to be a good chance to reconsider and re-evaluate a lot of life decisions while you are still young and free. This month, Amira Tharwat brought you 13 things you wish you have known before your 30’s, and if you are above 30, don’t worry it is never too late for correcting your path.

Don’t waste your life working. Work is 1 very important, but don’t forget that you work for self determination, gaining money

and eventually, to be happier so, don’t let work take over your life. Yet, make a career, if you don’t build a career in your twenties, it would be really hard to do so later on, so focus and start a career in a field you like so by your 30’s, you would be sitting comfortably where you are. Spend more time with your family, friends and loved ones. Never take your loved ones for granted especially your parents, they won’t be around for ever so, try to invest your time together as much as you can to avoid any regrets later. Never lose a friend for love, relationships come and go, but true friendships are so hard to find, don’t ever lose a friend for a demanding love partner, this kind of relationship will eventually come to an end and you would regret losing your friend even more. Own a pet because they are a life lesson. It is a humane experience that would add a lot to you, and would teach you a lot about unconditional love. It is also a rehearsal of how holding responsibility of a baby would be in the future.

Save money, the older you grow the more you would appreciate money and know it is real value as a mean of securing your life, so spend wisely and try to save money for the bad times. Travel as much as you can. Seeing the world is an amazing experience that would give depth to your personality and help you know more about yourself. Mingle with more people with different backgrounds, classes and cultures. Don’t confine yourself to certain beliefs or concepts, open your mind to new perspectives of life and share ideas with people from different backgrounds, it would help you know more about the ground you are standing on, and re-question your lifestyle and goals in life. Take a lot of pictures, it is believed that people picture what they fear losing the most, so whenever you go to an interesting place or live a happy moment or even look great in an outing, make sure you capture the moment because twenty years from now the people, and the feeling would be gone and nothing would be left but the photos to remind you of the great life you had.

Read and learn a new language, learning a new language is a key to a different world, it would help you discover different countries and know more about their culture, which might be very inspiring and gives depth and value to your personality. Nobody has it all, if you believed in this concept and lived with it, your life would be much happier, don’t ever look at what other’s have because you don’t know what they are deprived of. Don’t try to please everyone; this is another motto to live with. It is okay to be around people who are not so fond of you. If you spend your whole life trying to please everyone, we will end up into someone you don’t even know and you will fail at the end, so better do what you feel comfortable doing, don’t pay much care to what people think. Time is the only thing you can’t get back so make the best out of it, use your time wisely, no need for revenge, over thinking and above all stress and pressure, try to spend your time as happy as you can and exclude the people who makes you feel down and adds negativity to your life, you only live once so make the best out of it.
