THE CONTRACT Being married is a sign of success, fulfillment and one of the greatest achievements; that is how society, friends, and family and even the media try to support this stereotype into our heads every day. However, as soon as you are married and mission gets accomplished, some people (from both sexes) believe that this is it, one had reached his goal so, there is no more need to work on yourselves, aspire for perfection or even show interest in your partner anymore, which is the cause of all evils. Knowing that Egypt is the highest country in the rates of divorce and that there is a divorce case every 6 minutes is really scary. It indicates that either people are married for the wrong reasons, or they don’t know what the “institution” of marriage is all about. Marriage is a project, it is not a goal, if you put in your mind that getting married is not a target, but a mean to leave happily ever after with the one you love the most then, there is hope that we can work in lowering down this rate. If each person wakes up everyday feeling that he shouldn’t or actually can’t take his partner for granted, then things will be totally different. If you remember the days you prayed to God to find your perfect partner and wake up to find him sleeping beside you every day, then your whole perspective to a

“married couple life” would change. If you work hard every day to put a smile on his face and make him feel impressed to know you, then for sure know that the phrase “happily ever after” do happen in real life, and doesn’t only exist in fairy tales. Possession and trying to own your partner or making him a copy of you could kill the nice feelings you have for each other so, as mentioned in the amazing box office hit based on the best-selling novel ‘Hepta,’ you have to make an ’agreement’ with your partner. Don’t forget that marriage is a contract and to live happily ever after there must be a deal, an agreement that you both sign with love and devotion to please each other every second of every day and know that this won’t be easily attained it needs hard work and the key words are compromising and flexibility. You have to give and take in order to keep this relationship going. So, when choosing the right partner make sure he is a partner for better or worse, for mood swings, for difficult moments and for a lifetime. If you have a bit of doubt that he is not the right person, don’t sign the contract and don’t go any further because having an empty heart waiting for someone to fill is better than living with a broken heart.

What inspired you to launch a bridal collection? What inspired me to design a bride’s collection is the new vision around bride 2016. In my collection, I mix trendy jewellery with classic pieces. I tried to impose new ideas and break the usual mold segments of the traditional bride image. And that’s what encouraged me to combine between what is trendy and classic. Why do you like being the model and the face of your own designs? I believe that I am the best model for my brand because of my journey in Entrepreneurs’ World for the last four years. Simply, my designs reflect my beliefs, and we have to choose a new approach to represent our ideas and designs, if you want to stand out from the crowd, you must comply with the difference. This approach was my choice since my beginning as a freelance designer. You have to be confident about the product you sell, which will make you gain credibility among your clients. What are the stones you used? Bride Collection 2016 has been released under my Queen line. I use the best quality of stones available as well as diamond and zircon stones, agate, emerald, aquamarine, rubies, topaz and tourmaline stone. I also use ivory and pearls, which make Queen line one of the best lines that I work for every year since my very beginning. What are the materials you used? The collection is silver plated with weight gold and platinum, and I customize white gold orders.
LOUNGE 20
What are the biggest mistakes brides do when it comes to accessories? One of the big mistakes a bride makes is to wear many pieces of jewellery together! Another fatal mistake is choosing pieces that don’t fit face dimensions. In general, what are your tips for brides when choosing the appropriate accessory for their wedding dress? Tiara is a unique piece of jewellery and should be chosen carefully to suit the dimensions of the bride’s earring and necklace for sure. Is it true that a bride shouldn’t wear earrings and necklace at the same time? Not really. However, big earring should be chosen with a simple necklace and vice versa. Big earring suit best faces with sharp features and bone structure as well as a long neck, and that’s when a tiara is not suitable. Are you pro or against the floral trend (having a floral head band)? I go with the natural look. We design floral tiaras that are uniquely designed. My advice for brides is to choose carefully her designer. I wish all the brides of 2016 great happiness and a life full of love.

Bridal hair tips from
Kriss Haloul amira Tharwat talks to Lebanese hair dresser
and celebrities hair expert Kriss Haloul, who shares with us his tips to brides on their wedding day, the biggest faux-pas and the latest hair trends and colors for spring/summer 2016.
What are the latest hair trends for brides this spring? Glamorous Bohemian is perfect for this spring. It is always a nice surprise to show up with a seemingly care free hair yet very shiny or with a braided crown. It is always great if it looks effortless and would be even nicer to top it by using a colored floral crown. What are the faux pas that brides commit with their hair and makeup recently? And how can they avoid them? Major mistake is coloring or highlighting the hair directly before the wedding. As for the makeup, the biggest problem is that brides wear it and change completely their real features. The whole purpose of make up is to accentuate the bride’s beautiful feature not change her features completely. How to make the wedding veil match the hairstyle? The veil is a classic look that never goes out of fashion and the whole purpose is to glam up the bride to feel like a queen, but it should never be bigger than the hair. What are the things a bride should do to take care of her hair before her big day? Constant treatment and conditioning is a must.
LOUNGE 24
Is it a must for a bride to apply fake lashes, hair, lenses and nails in her special night? Nothing is a must for a bride, as long as she feels comfortable in her own skin. But the lashes always add up and highlight the beauty of the eyes, especially in the photos. As for the fake hair, it is only necessary if the bride needs an up do or a certain volume that cannot be fulfilled by her natural hair. What is the most practical way for a shiny, healthy hair in the honeymoon? The things that hurt the hair the most during the honeymoon are usually sun and water. So the best thing to do after being in the pool or at the sea is to wash her hair from salt or chlorine. She can also take sun protection hair spray so the hair can stay hydrated and shiny. In general, what are the latest color trends for hair and makeup this spring and summer? The latest color trend is contouring. Contouring is highlighting and shading certain parts of the hair so it can create the illusion of a different face shape depending on what you want to accentuate. As for makeup, the runways in spring 2106 are full of bold red lip stick, smudgy eye shadows, and fake lashes.

How to avoid panic attacks
before your
big day
Dealing with cold feet prior to the wedding is very
common, but why would it happen? And how should the bride deal with it? Shorouk Nafie explains to the bridesto-be how to deal with stress, anxiety and panic attacks pre-wedding
LOUNGE 26
You have probably heard of many girls experiencing panic attacks right before the wedding, some do have panic attacks days before the wedding thinking they can’t do it. Well, you need to know that this is normal, it happens to a lot of people, all you need to know is how to deal with this feelings and how to get over it. According to a survey by fearcourse.com, 71% of brides-to-be suffered from some type of nerves during the build-up to their wedding. Unsurprisingly, 92% of brides experienced nerves on the day of the wedding or the evening before, while 66% reported that it affected their daily lives prior to it, or hampered their performance and happiness during the day itself, so it’s common you’re not alone. Brides don’t enjoy the period before the wedding sometimes because of the severe
obsession about the details, the negative feeling they hold unconsciously all the time, thinking that nothing will go right and that everything should be perfect. The ideal solution for this issue is to literally breathe and relax. Nothing is going to be perfect and you don’t want it this way, everything will go just fine the way to meant to be, and you shall be happy this way, let go of the idea of perfection and enjoy the arrangement of your big day, perfection is in the eyes of the beholder. Some brides experience panic attacks and severe anxiety, thinking that their marriage will not succeed, or maybe their over-thinking got them to doubt their partner’s feelings just before the big day, this is very common as well, you start to think that the good days are gone and now it’s time for the routine and the responsibility to take over. This is not true;
your partner actually is marrying you because he chose to be with you forever, as for the responsibility you’re ready for it ever since he proposed and you accepting to marry him so again, don’t let your doubts fool you. Also, a very important point that may cause severe panic attacks to brides, and more common in our generation more than any other time is freedom. Women now have their own lives, cars, money and friends, they go wherever they want whenever they want, have more independence than before, and they are responsible and successful enough to be on their own. At this stage, taking the decision to getting married becomes very difficult and may cause a lot of confusion and anxiety. Yet, look at the bright side, your success and independence are some of the reasons you are with the man you are with today, you made the
right choice and you’re almost living the dream of every girl. Marriage is another important achievement in life and it will make you more stable in your life as long as you chose the one who makes you happy, you’re starting a new life in few days, you worked on yourself a lot, and now you’re ready to have the life you always wanted, perhaps you’re more ready than any other girl, just breathe, enjoy your bachelorette and enjoy the process just like you learnt to enjoy every moment in your life. The panic attacks of the groom also confuse the bride. Both the bride and the groom suffer from nervousness, anxiety and panics before their wedding, the idea of having a new shared life is scary, but you both should remember that this is choice and that you both took his step willingly promising each other a life full of love, loyalty and dedication in good and bad times,
in sickness and health, for richer or poorer. So, when you feel like your man is having an attack, just remind him how much you love him and how your life would be amazing as planned and as long as you both love each other. Last but not least, people’s opinion on your wedding ceremony, dress, groom, buffet, etc is another reason why you can have a panic attack. Again, you’re the one who is getting married, and you’re the one who should be enjoying all the details, this is your day and you will look and feel beautiful, your make up and dress will be amazing, everybody will sing and dance for you, the wedding will only last for few hours, but it will live in your heart forever so, enjoy your big day as much as you can.

The Last Lecture love is one of the most
complicated human feeling of all, it is sacred, valued and make wonders and no one could understand it’s secret, this month Sherouk Nafie brought us a glimpse of writer Mohamed Sadek’s best-selling novel Hepta after its adaptation to a movie holding the same name in cinema’s now.
Many people thought that ‘Hepta’ by the genius writer Mohamed Sadek would be a classic romantic novel, just like any other romatic novel, which turned out to be more than just that. ‘Hepta’ is the number seven in Greek language, and what I did not know that the number 7 symbolizes so many things in our universe, seven is the most significant number across religions and cultures, just ask anybody what is your favourite number and he’ll tell you seven, ask the nearest person to pick a number randomly and he will probably choose 7. So, the number seven is magical in so many ways and would definitely be more charming when SEVEN is referring to the seven stages of love, ‘Hepta’ starts with Osama, a man who is starting a lecture about the 7 stages of love, which he divided into “the beginning of any love story,” “the first dates,” “getting into the relationship,” “the recognition of the truth,” “the reality of
LOUNGE 30
the situation,” “the decision” and finally “Hepta.” The novel involves four heroes which are (A,B,C & D) in different stages of age, showing us how everybody at any age can love and pass through the seven phases, enjoy his feelings, and bear his consequences his own way and mentality. A is a middle aged man, who is living with no hope to find what he’s looking for, in a relationship but not in love, when he saw that one crazy girl who was climbing a roof on the opposite building by the dawn and suddenly for the first time he felt something. B is an athletic teenager, who has to go under a sensitive surgery, seeing people suffering from pain and disease in the hospital made him think about telling his best friend that he loves her before its too late? C is an artist in his early twenties, who was hanging out with a friend that was
complementing his drawings, and when he was asked to draw he drew her chained with wings. D is a little kid of 7 years old, who loves to play with his neighbour and best friend until one day everything changes, and he stops playing and she goes to find another play mates. Mohamed Sadek was moving freely between the four characters in the novel that you may think you lost your way in there, but in fact you’ll discover that you did not, not even for a second, your mind and heart just won’t realize how crazy, passionate and completely insane a person would be when he loves someone. This novel takes you to a place that we all forget to visit, the place where we get the butterflies, laugh from the bottom of our hearts, let down all the walls, do the impossible, and be totally ourselves with all our imperfections and our conflicts. A highly recommended novel that deserved to be a movie.

mira Tharwat talks to Egyptian starlet Dina El Sherbiny sharing with her the massive success of her latest movie ‘Hepta.’ Dina talks about her role as ‘Ola’ in the movie, the things she likes the most about the novel and wearing the wedding gown.
LOUNGE 32
How were you chosen for your role in ‘Hepta’? Director Hadi El Bagoury, who I started my first acting experience with through ‘Ard Khas’ was the one who chose me for the role. Actually, I read the novel a while ago and I loved it, but didn’t know that they will film it, and so, I was really excited when I got the role. What did you like the most about the story? Everything about it, discovering the surprise at the end and the love stories discussed, I believe that anyone would related to any of the love stories mentioned. Which character you wanted to play the most when you read the novel? Actually, I loved Ola’s role, which I played in the movie. Tell us more about your role? Ola is a girl who lives like a lot of Egyptian girls, who meets someone who changes her life completely. What is common between your personality and Ola’s? Nothing really, we are two different people; I am the exact opposite of her, I am out of the box a little. Tell us more about ‘Masrah El Nahar’.. I participated with the team of ‘El Nahar’ Theater, and I am so excited about the idea of having our Egyptian theater back. When I was offered the role I felt really happy, I have never done any plays even when I was in university, I have never acted on stage, I have always wished for this day to come, and finally I got the chance to act on stage. We didn’t settle yet on the play I am doing, but in general, it will start after Ramadan.

Describe your prince charming… I don’t care at all about the looks, I just wish he would be responsible and ambitious, I don’t care about anything else. However, if he possess all that and looks like Roshdy Abaza, I won’t feel bad for sure (laughs), men like Roshdy Abaza don’t exist anymore. What is the thing you are scared of the most about marriage? That I take a wrong decision. Unfortunately, a lot of people think of marriage as the end of the relationship, for me, it is only the beginning. Every girl thinks about all the details of her special day, what would your dress look like? As we said before, I prefer thinking out of the box, and that is why I didn’t think about the typical details of my wedding day. Of course I did when I was younger just like every other girl about these details, but the older you grow, the more mature you become and the more your priorities change. Now for instance, I would love to have my wedding on the beach in the morning, I prefer simplicity, no lavish wedding in a palace like where we are now (smiles). How do you stay fit? Am I fit!? I don’t think so (laughs). I am one of the people who eat a lot then, feel guilty and stop eating for a while. I also play sports especially kick boxing. What is your favourite perfume? Cool Way. What inspires you when it comes to fashion? Actually, I love Norine Farah who designed this wedding dress I am wearing, we are friends as well since we were kids so, I support her and I am very proud of her that she started her own business.
LOUNGE 34
Recently you joined Creative Arab Talent Agency, how does that add to you as an actress? I really feel happy that finally we have professional agents in Egypt that would be responsible of celebrities. I am also happy that journalists and people started to be more understanding that they can contact the celebrity through their agent not personally. They used to believe that celebrities are snobbish because they don’t speak in person rather than believe that it’s more professional. I am really glad that the owner of the company Amr Oura is able to handle that with professionalism. It is always good to have someone holding your back as well as consult for everything, it is vital for everyone not just actors. It makes me concentrate on acting without bothering myself with all the hassle that surrounds acting.
LOUNGE 35
You had a fake Facebook account made by someone, would you share with us your real account? Would you please help me in declaring that (laughs), I wish Facebook would close it, I don’t have any accounts on social media, and I am not into these things at all, I am not computer oriented in any way. The only benefit of it is being in touch with people, but personally, I don’t enjoy social media. Soon there will be an official account for me, but it’s still under construction. What about Amir Karara, you made a great duet why we won’t see you with him in his TV serial ‘El Tabal’? I actually wished to be with him, but unfortunately, I was offered a role in the serial after signing the other two serials so there was a conflict in the schedule. What are the two serials? I will participate in two TV serials; ‘Grand Hotel’ and ‘Afrah El Obba.’ I don’t want to talk about the roles, but both of them are totally different.

Where have you been all that long? I was working in Hollywood for 2 years. You are doing your Masters abroad, what are you studying? I’m actually doing my Masters in Germany and my first exam is next summer, wish me luck! I’m studying Theatre in Berlin. Tell us more about your Hollywood projects Now, I don’t have any projects in Hollywood, but I come and go between the Middle East and Europe and that will remain for the rest of this year. Does being half Egyptian, half Austrian helped in joining Hollywood? No, it doesn’t as they don’t care about race, but it was helpful that I speak more than one language. At the age of 30, what are the resolutions you look up to? And what are the things you are proud of and regret doing in your 20’s? Now, I feel I’m wiser, careless about people and free; I really enjoy being almost 32. I’m good with everything, no regrets at all. How were you nominated for your role in the Award Winning Movie ‘Cairo Time’? A producer from ‘Aflam Masr El Alamya’ called me for an audition and when I went the Director decided to give me another role, which I was really happy with. How did you take the decision to be vegetarian? I just felt sorry for the animals so I stopped eating them. It’s very simple (smiles). How did you and your boyfriend meet? We met in a party of friends and we felt something might turn into a good thing. You said in a programme that you are planning to announce your engagement? Any happy news? Not yet. I take things one step at a time. It seems that you have a very romantic relationship with your boy friend, what are the keys to a healthy relationship between any couple? To respect each other, and to give one another space when it’s needed. You’ve been through several relationships that didn’t work out, what are the things you found this time that made it worth considering marriage? Respecting and believing in each other. You are the type of person who thinks out of the box, how would your marriage be like? If I get married, I would love to feel equal without even the need to mention it. Inspired by the vintage look you appear with, who are the celebrities you love the most from the past? Eva Gardner, Vivien Leigh, Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe and Helena Bonham Carter (she’s wild and different). What is your favourite black and white movie? ‘Whatever happened to baby Jane’ - 1962. If you would like to go back in time, which age would you chose? Actually, it really feels good to be 31; I don’t want to go back in time.

What is the book you enjoyed reading the most? Nude Bread (Al Khobz Al Hafi) by the brilliant Moroccan Writer Mohamed Shokri. What are your tips to girls who are about to be in a relationship or get married? Have a career, have a separate bank account and love yourself more than you love anyone else. What are the things you experienced professionally in Hollywood and wish to see executed here in Egypt? Respecting time and that they don’t stick their noses in each other’s business. You said you are in Egypt for a visit and a project, would you give us a sneak peek about it? In May 2016, you need emotional security, you seem to be practical, and will filter your emotions through reason. It could bring you socio-professional success of the couple or a common effort toward objectives that have to do with position and finances. If you’re not yet seriously involved, romantic opportunities that might arise during this term seem to be tied to profession and, most likely, to a person who is emotionally and financially stable. This month your career is very promising, it will allow you to accomplish important goals. Good health is not a strong suit during May 2016. Take care of yourself, you’re on a mined filed! On the other hand, May 2016 is good for resuming medical investigations regarding older issues. Set cleat objectives, get organized, and get busy! It’s not easy, but you could accomplish a lot.

May 2016 is full of sensuality, you have more love to offer and attract love at the same time. You are more interested in stylishness and elegance, more open toward flirting and initiating new relationships. If you’re looking for a partner, it’s now easier to find one. If you’re already involved, the relationship could blossom or be re-launched. However, you need to be more careful and diplomatic to keep what you have or what you get. Also, this month is favourable for your career. It brings you energy, enhances your leadership and organizational skills, gives you authority, and makes you stand out. It also brings you benefits via diplomacy, charm, and good relations. During the first two decans of May 2016, you’re in very good shape, you’re full of vitality, you radiate energy and strength. During the last week of May 2016 some issues might arise. Careful!
It’s pretty complicated; May 2016 is not going so well. There might be difficulties in the relationship, or it might go through difficult times for reasons from the outside. Or perhaps your partner encounters difficulties. However, things aren’t as bad as they might seem. They settle down in the end. However, things could get even more interesting toward end of month. May 2016, or at least the first two decans, seems to be rather a month of settling down, germination, and behind-the-scenes workings. Something is in the works, and it really is something. The show will probably begin after May 20 2016. But, you can get satisfaction even before that, though in a more discreet manner or a more private one. For instance, great achievements in the creative department are a possibility, but also in real-estate, home, and even financials.

Either way, it’s unlikely for things to go as expected. On the other hand, things can generate worries and concerns, but that favors the understanding of profound aspects of the relationship. May 2016 is an active month, primarily financially. It’s mainly not about what you earn through work, but the way you manage what you already have, money that you have together with others (or that hinge on others), about acquisitions and investments, relations to banks, insurance, IRS, and so on.
