Building Futures Through Housing The Artisan Home Tour helps support the work of the Housing First Minnesota Foundation to build tangible housing solutions to end homelessness for veterans and Minnesotans in need. For more than 25 years, the Foundation has been transforming housing and impacting the lives of multiple people, over multiple years. This year, our Foundation continues its great work by renovating six units in dire need of repair in an old Minneapolis apartment which is designated for women in chemical dependency treatment living with their children while in recovery. The Foundation also has plans this year for two more Housing for Heroes homes for veterans in need. By touring these incredible homes, visitors and participants have helped raise over $120,000 over the past eight years—dollars that have made a real difference in building housing and moving families from homelessness to hopefulness.

A more functional and open mainlevel floor plan and lower level were instantly created by moving the stairway, which previously severed flow and sightlines. In the kitchen, an ILVE white range with brass accents complement antique brass light fixtures. Detailed cabinetry is designed around dedicated workspaces for shared meal prep and entertaining. Varying floor finishes give each space its own flair: natural, slightly rustic white oak; handmade, handpainted terra cotta tile; sliced marble; and brick fashioned in a herringbone pattern.
