PREFACE ! ! !
"Rebuilding trust in the European Union through the use of Mass Media" (2016-3-ES02-KA105-008890) was a project organised by Biderbost, Boscan & Rochin (BB&R), in collaboration with Human Rights Youth Organisation (HRYO) and Academy of Entrepreneurship (AKEP).
!
The project seeks to empower youth workers from Greece, Italy and Spain on Mass Media competences and, at the same time, provide them open spaces to develop new strategies to tackle negative issues faced by new generations of Europeans (unemployment, anti-Europeanism, xenophobia).
!
Moreover, the project achieved to create a network of European youth leaders working directly on how to increase the sense of belonging to the European Union (European citizenship) in the field of youth (especially young people that are unemployed or with migrant background).
!
On the other hand, the youth workers were able to think about ways to develop soft-skills (teamwork, public speaking, conflict resolution, decision-making) and civic competences among the new generations of Europeans.
It is important to thank the Erasmus+ Programme, the Youth Institute of Spain and the Youth Institute of Castilla y Leรณn, who without them this project would not have seen the light. Also, to the San Estanislao Kostka School (Salamanca) for supporting this project.
!
And, specially, to the 11 youth workers who were the protagonists of this project (specially during the training course celebrated in Salamanca, between 5-10th March, 2018).
!
With all this, we hope to contribute to increase the sense of belonging to the European Union and develop of a more inclusive Europe.
!
Yours sincerely,
