membership I hope everyone is having an amazing start to the July 4 holiday week and looking forward to enjoying the fireworks throughout the Cape! On Sunday night, July 3, we will have a Members Beach Fire with s’mores, so we hope to see you there as well! Now that we are in July, the Member socials are in full swing and every one of them is being well attended. Friday Nights at the Linx continue to be a highlight event for the Club with raving reviews on what Chef Tim and his culinary team are producing for the Members and with Mike Morin and his staff of servers providing an exceptional dining experience. The Linx has been in the spotlight this year, for all the right reasons, and has been a wonderful asset for the Club. I hope everyone has the opportunity to enjoy some time at the Linx with Chef Tim and Mike! The Member Sports Club opened its F&B services on July 1. The menu consists of sandwich and salad options, a chicken salad cup, and some light snack foods and treats to enjoy while sipping on a cocktail by the pool. There is daily service from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for your convenience. July is also one of our busiest months of the year with respect to golf and tennis events. The premier event for the month is the OEMGA 3-Day Invitational Golf Tournament, July 8 – 10. If you have not already registered, please do so today as the field is limited, and may be on a waitlist. Our next highlight golf event is on August 1st & 2nd, the OEWGA Invitational Golf Tournament. There was a format change for this year’s event with a player reception and dinner on Monday night, and tournament play on Tuesday morning. Sincerely, Michael Medeiros

WELLNESS Healthy Grilled Shrimp Fajita Foil Pack
I don’t know about you but I love easy grilling ideas. This one I just tried last week from foodnetwork.com they were delicious! You could also try it meatless and add more veggies or opt for chicken instead! Enjoy! - Heidi VanAmburgh
Ingredients:
2 large bell peppers, sliced 1/2-inch thick 1 large onion, sliced 1/2-inch thick 1 bunch of scallions, quartered crosswise 2 tablespoons olive oil 1/2 teaspoon chipotle chile powder 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin Kosher salt 1 1/4 pounds extra-large peeled and deveined shrimp, tails removed 2 limes, halved Twelve 6-inch flour tortillas 1/2 cup loosely packed cilantro leaves and tender stems
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare a grill for medium-high heat. Step 2: Toss together the bell pepper, onion, scallions, oil, chile powder, cumin, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a very large bowl. Step 3: Tear two 18-inch pieces of 18-inch-wide heavy-duty foil. Spread the vegetable mixture on one piece of foil, leaving a few inches of exposed foil as a border. Arrange the shrimp on top of the vegetables in a single layer. Squeeze the limes over the mixture. Top with the remaining piece of foil, lining up the edges. Fold the edges and crimp tightly to make a leak-proof packet. Step 4: Tear two 18-inch pieces of 18-inch-wide heavy-duty foil. Arrange the tortillas, overlapping slightly, on one piece of foil. Top with the remaining piece of foil, lining up the edges. Fold the edges and crimp tightly to make another packet. Step 5: Put the shrimp packet on the grill, close the grill lid and cook for 12 minutes (do not turn the packet over). The packet should puff up and look like a pillow. Slide from the grill onto a baking sheet using tongs. Set aside and let rest while you heat up the tortillas. Put the tortilla pack on the grill and cook until warm, about 2 minutes per side. Step 6: Carefully open the shrimp packet (hot steam will escape). The shrimp should be pink and cooked through and the onions and peppers just tender. Scatter the cilantro over the shrimp. Serve with the warm tortillas and salsa and avocado, if desired.
AGRONOMY Our busy summer golf season is in full swing. It is great to see the volume of members getting out to enjoy our golf course. Summer is an extremely busy time for course maintenance, from early tee times to a full golf calendar of events, the Agronomy team has a lot of tasks to fit into limited time frames. With a busy golf course, we would like to touch on some course etiquette areas that will be of great help to the Agronomy team as well as keep conditions on the course pristine. Divot Management Anytime a divot is taken from short grass area we as the you retrieve the turf pelt that was taken and firmly step it into place, only use the divot sand when the turf pelt is unsalvageable or lost. Please refer to image below for proper technique. Ball mark repair When landing on a green always check and repair your own ballpark, and any other ball marks that may find as well. Please refer to image below for proper technique. Bunkers Care Always rake your footprints in fairway and greenside bunkers. When finished raking always place bunker rake in the rough parallel to the hole. Please do not place rakes in the fescue as they cannot be easily seen for future use. When exiting a bunker please do so on the low side, do not walk-up sand or grass faces as damage to turf as well as possible injury may occur. Golf cart traffic Always obey cart path only (CPO) postings after heavy rain events. When not in CPO we ask that you utilize 90-degree rule as much as possible. When pulling up to greens and tees all four wheels of the golf cart remain on pavement. Golf cart should never travel in any of our fescue areas.Grass walking paths from tees to fairway are off limits to carts. They are meant for walking and pushcart use only. Following and implementing these simple requests will help to ensure we are providing an exception experience on the golf course. The Agronomy team thanks you in advance. Hope to see you on the course soon! Sincerely, Craig Sullivan
