Celebrates tennis paradise with first ever fall edition

T

ennis fans from around the globe are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming BNP Paribas Open in scenic Indian Wells, a combined ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 event. The first-ever fall edition of the tennis tournament will feature a women’s event with 96-player singles draws, 32-player singles qualifying draws, and 32-team doubles draws, while the men’s event will feature 56-player singles draws, 28-player singles qualifying draws, and 28-team doubles draws. There will be $15.3 million in available prize money. All guests will be required to show valid proof of full vaccination. On the men’s side, Novak Djokovic will be eyeing a recordsetting sixth BNP Paribas Open title. Defending champion Bianca Andreescu (World No. 7) will make her long-awaited return to the desert, after gaining the attention the tennis world after becoming the first-ever female wild card to win in Indian Wells. Also entered are, Elena Vesnina (2017), Simona Halep (2015) and Victoria Azarenka (2012, 2016). A trio of teenage phenoms is also slated to play: 18-year-old Carlos Alcaraz, 19-year-old Leylah Fernandez and 17-year-old Coco Gauff. Also joining the action will be other top Americans including John Isner (World No. 22), Reilly Opelka (World No. 24) and Jessica
