Travel the world with Art on Main Street in Old Town La Quinta
T
reat yourself to a day of cultural enchantment and live music at Art on Main Street with over 70 artists showing and selling their paintings, jewelry, mixed media, photography, ceramics, glass, woodwork, textiles, sculptures and more. This outdoor art market is an Old Town tradition, set amidst Main Street’s charming cafés and boutiques. Past collections have included works by Robert Weil, Dean Mayo, Felica and Michelle Waller and many others. Much of the inspiration for the art on display has an international flair, with local impressionist Diane McClary exquisitely capturing desert color and light in her landscapes and Leslee Adams embracing Southwest and desert style in bold and bright watercolors. Many artists hail from southern California while others are originally from foreign countries, expressing a diverse world view and a global influence. Other artisans

might include photographer and world-traveler, Laurent Martres, jewelry designer Victor Yurivilca from Peru and Itai Chazan from Israel, who recently opened Meyave Gallery on Main Street and creates contemporary and African art with raw, imported stone in collaboration with Zimbabwe artists.
