Palm Desert VA Clinic moves to new state-of-the-art location

he new state-of-the-art primary care Palm Desert VA clinic, 72700 Dinah Shore Drive, is open 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.–2:30 p.m. on Fridays. The clinic is closed on weekends and Federal holidays. The clinic provides primary care, behavioral health, telemedicine, preventive medicine, neurology, infectious disease, lab, and audiology services. Palm Desert also hosts the MOVE! weight management program supported by the VA National Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Palm Desert VA clinic is one of five community-based outpatient clinics providing care to more than 31,000 Veterans in the Inland Empire. Community-based outpatient clinics allow Veterans to receive care close to where they live and increases access to health

and wellness services. VA community-based outpatient clinics in Victorville, Murrieta, Corona, and Rancho Cucamonga moved to new locations on October 1. STGi, a medical contracting company, manages all five community clinics. The clinic located on Cook St. closed Monday, February28.

ONE-PS Annual Neighborhood Picnic & Expo slated for March 19
A
fter a two-year hiatus, come join in a celebration of our 50 Palm Springs neigborhoods and the many wonderful things that make our city like no place else, when the Organized Neighborhoods of Palm Springs, (ONEPS), host their 13th Annual Picnic & Community Expo on Saturday, March 19 in Ruth Hardy Park. The picnic, slated from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. features a FREE lunch for residents from three popular Palm

and children’s activities brought to you by Palm Springs Parks and Recreation and an always wildly popular pooch costume contest. Categories include “Cutest,” “Most Original,” and “Funniest.” In addition, Palm Springs Police Chief Andy Mills plans to challenge attendees to to a competitive game of “cornhole” at the Palm Springs Police booth.
