Result Day The result day of classes Pre-nursery to Class II was held on January 6th 2012 at the campus. All the teachers were available in their respective classes to hand over the results to the parents. The parents went satisfied with their children’s progress and teacher’s efforts.

Birthday Celebrations Shaukat Khanum hospital celebrated its seventeenth birthday and held a ‘Birthday card making Competition’ on 17.1.2012. There were five selected participants from our branch who went there with the Art teacher. 17- G MTL won a lucky draw and children were awarded with t shirts from the committee of Shaukat Khanum. Grand Game Finale Like other mediums of learning, Sports is never neglected at BSS. Our games teachers are always on their go to train the young athletics for a range of playoffs. Our branch proudly won different matches from other branches and entered the ‘Grand Game Finale’ on 18th January’2012 to carry on from the semi Finals. This was the final match between all the winning teams of BSS Lahore at the Walton Sports Complex. Mr Nasir Kasuri and Mr Ali Raza witnessed the program as the chief guests. Little Readers An Inter –Section Reading Competition of class I’s was held on 19.1.2012. Students were given un read text to read from. They were assessed on clarity, pronunciation and flow. Mrs Ayesha Shahid was the judge. The passionate readers read with great enthusiasm. Winners were awarded with gifts and certificates. Winners: First Position:

Pre Nursery’s had their puppet show on 26.1.2012. The objective was to incorporate the theme of ‘Little Red Riding Hood ‘from their curriculum. The young puppeteers entertained the audience with a magnificent show. They presented their talent using collaborated skills in an artistic way.
Library Re- Do Our library went through a redo phase. Its setting was changed and effective corners were set up. This was done keeping in mind how it could be made more useful and attractive for the students. The renovated library is attracting the young readers, who want to stay there and long and enjoy more reading.

Cultural Fiesta
Math Wizards
Kindergarten welcomed the spring with the celebration of ‘Cultural Fiesta’ on 27. 01. 12. All the students were dressed in the provincial dresses. They portrayed the culture, languages and food of the four provinces of Pakistan. The colourful and entertaining program ended with the cultural dances of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The efforts of the teachers and students left its mark on the audience.
Haseeb Nawaz and Faraz Ali of II – Yellow of our branch participated in a ‘Mental Mathematic Competition’ at Johar Town Campus. They were awarded with several gifts and participation certificates after a long challenging competition.

Have your say!! We aim at providing our students with various opportunities in various fields to prove themselves and train them for the future. In this regard an Inter-Section Urdu/ English Declamation Contest of Class II’s was organized on 26th January ’12. Four students were selected from each section. The participants shared their views very confidently and the winners were awarded with certificates and gifts in the end.

Open Day (17-G MTL/41 A-1) An Open Day was arranged on 29.1.2012 at 41-A/1 where 17-G MTL was the participating branch. Various activities were arranged for the visitors. Ms Hina Saqib and Ms Shumaila Rehman conducted “Little Leaders Interactive’ workshops under the title of “Learning through Play’ to familiarize the parents with the curriculum and to make them realize the importance of learning through play/playful learning. A lot of registrations were confirmed by the end of the day.

Student Appraisal Day A ‘Student’s Appraisal Day’ was conducted on 9th February ’12. All the students were awarded with the certificates according to their achievements under academics and behavior categories. This was done for the first time to acknowledge and to encourage their efforts. The categories were as follows:

Matheletics Award Ceremony Tania Gondal of I – Yellow and Wajih Hussain from K.G. Pink made us proud by winning a Gold and Emerald and Gold Certificate respectively by participating in Pakistan Matheletics Challenge. They were awarded with the certificates at the Walton Campus on 9th January ’12.

Make sure your child is regular and punctual in coming to school.

Kindly check your child’s diary everyday to keep updated.

Please send healthy, preferably homemade lunch with your child to ensure his/ her well being.

Your child’s hair should be properly done, girls with tied hair and boys with a proper haircut.

Your child’s security is our primary concern so please be vigilant in bringing his/ her I.D. Card when picking him/ her.
Green Living Competition It is delightful to share that Afifa Waseem of IIPink has won the title of ‘Super Green Angel,the Campus Winner as a result of the Green Living Quiz Competition.
