Dear Parents,

Welcome to another refreshing session of our academic year 2022-23. We hope that you are healthy and well, and were able to enjoy special times with loved ones over the winter break. We wish you a very happy new year.

As a newly promoted school head of Beaconhouse School System, Latifabad Primary -II, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you and your children. As my new role, I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to the parents for their warm welcome and support. We believe that education is a partnership between the school and parents, and I am committed to forging a strong bond with all of you. I believe that working together in a collaborative manner will enable us to provide the best possible learning experience for our children. Our aim is to create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment where your children can thrive, develop their potential, and achieve their goals. We encourage you to share your valuable feedback and concerns with us. Your input will help us to improve our programs and services to cater to your child’s needs better. Furthermore, I implore you to adhere to our school policies and procedures, including punctuality, regular attendance, dress code, and academic expectations. Your cooperation in this regard will significantly contribute to maintaining discipline and order in the school environment.

Back to School

After a long, refreshing, and restful summer break, students merrily returned to school on August 15, 2022, to start the new academic year. The teachers warmly received the children at the school gate to ease their nervousness and make them feel welcomed. The day began with an energizing morning assembly in which the students prepared themselves for an invigorating year ahead by warming up their bodies and minds through an uplifting aerobic session, followed by a welcome address from the School head and an introduction by the teachers. Later, the students settled into their classes and stayed busy in mirthful back-to-school activities planned by their teachers. They also enjoyed the fascinating photo frames waiting for them to kick start their year by creating memories with their classmates and teachers. The day rounded-off with the students satisfying their sweet tooth by getting chocolate cupcakes as a treat from the school and leaving with an urge to come back the other day.

Defence Day is celebrated on 6th September every year in the memory of those who embraced martyrdom in the Indo-Pakistan war of 1965.To pay tribute to our heroic soldiers for their services in the love of their country, Latifabad Primary-II celebrated this event with great devotion on 6th September. Students wore uniforms representing the armed forces of Pakistan, sang patriotic national songs, performed tableaus , delivered meaningful speeches and last but not least designed posters to demonstrate their enthusiasm and devotion to their country.

Parental Orientation

Parental Orientation is an event that is usually organized once in an academic year to introduce the processes and procedures of the school. The parents of grade 2 were invited and had given a walk through of the school processes and procedures. In this way the parents came to know about the routine their kids go through each day. The worthy Head Mistress and School Coordinator demonstrated the school mechanisms. Later parents participated in discussion and asked for.

Junior Idol

Music is food for our soul that helps us transcend space and time. In fact, it gives an expression to our ideas and emotions. To uncover and to nurture the hidden talents of our students, Beacon house Latifabad Primary II took the initiative to arrange Beacon house Idol singing competition on the 23rd of September, 2022.

Students from upper primary grades participated with great enthusiasm and fervor. Their hard work put in all those practice and rehearsal sessions paid off as the performances they put on were beyond belief, marked by confidence, passion and melodies that pulled at the heart strings of the audience. The judge's job was made even more difficult given the mastery of the students of their voice quality, pitch, rhythm and tone.

The winner now moves on to the next round in Karachi, where greater competition awaits.

World Teachers' Day provides us with the opportunity to thank every teacher or instructor that has contributed to your life through education. Words would not be enough to describe their efforts. To celebrate the day and thank the teaching professionals, the Latifabad Primary 2 students made cards to wish, greet and acknowledge the contribution of teachers in their lives. Lastly, our worthy branch head, Mam Aneeta Kumari, presented a token of love to all the faculty members of LP II.

Movie Night

A mishap hit the country's underprivileged citizens when the uncontrollable river waters gushed out due to heavy rainfalls, causing many to abandon their homes and give up their livelihoods. To empathize with the victims and share their sobs and sorrows in this ordeal, the philanthropists of Beaconhouse Latifabad Primary II hosted a fundraising movie evening to raise donations for the affected. The event turned out to be a triumph as the entire student body came together to join hands in this noble cause. Besides, it also allowed children a break from their monotonous routine, socializing with their friends and munching delectable snacks while enjoying the blockbuster children's movieHome Alone. We believe this small effort will benefit the sufferers and bring a little sunshine into their lives.

BSS Birthday

The 47th birthday of Beaconhouse was the most sought-after day for the beaconites. It was a day of great memories and immense pleasure specially for Primary II Campus, Latifabad. It was a great pleasure to see students blooming with delight as they sang a birthday song for BSS followed by a cake cutting ceremony in the presence of the Senior Mistress, students and all the teachers. Students were seen busy in carrying out different activities for their beloved school. At the end of the day students were ecstatic to receive Cupcakes as a token of love from the branch.

Parent Teacher Meeting

Parent teacher meeting was held in Latifabad Primary-II as it is a prominent and notable feature of the schools. The motive was close interaction of parents with teachers with regard to the progress shown by their wards and finding workable solutions to the problems coming in the way of development of their ward

Naat Khuwani

Eid Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated every year to remember the auspicious day when our Holy Prophet (SAW) was born.

To remember and pay tribute to our Holy Prophet (SAW), Beacon House Latifabad Primary 2 celebrated Eid Milad un Nabi on Friday 24th of Rabi-ul-Awaal. The students participated with a lot of enthusiasm and recited beautiful naats.

Teacher’s Trainings

Teacher’s training is a continuous never-ending process which promotes teaching skills, master novel knowledge; develop better or newer proficiency, which in return assists in improving student’s learning. LP-II arranged various efficacious teacher’s training sessions on “Copy checking and effectiveness of constructive remarks, Students protection policy, question techniques and stress management “. Morning Assemblies

Morning assemblies helps in building a culture of communication and representation of academic and co-curricular activities. It is a very important part of school culture and helps to strengthen the way a school works. It also helps students to gather a lot of energy to do well and be good. Its implementation needs to develop a feeling of unity and collaboration. The apprentices of Primary II Campus organize morning assemblies to showcase their talent of acting, dialogue delivery, communication, body language, collaboration and teamwork. The displayed topics include Dignity, Mini beast (reader) and tribute to Allama Iqbal by grade 2 learners.

Kids Athletics

All physical activities that participants engage in on a regular or organized basis are considered to be ‘Sports’ and Kids' Athletics is a free and exciting programme to get children and young people across the world moving!

Every year Beaconhouse Latifabad Primary II executes these kinds of activities in the school ground. The students were divided according to their houses (Red, Green, Yellow and Blue). The students were divided in 4 races so that everyone could get the chance to participate. The names of races were Stool race, Hurdle race, Rolling with cone race and Tic tac toe race. After all the races according to the scoreboard the winner team was Red house in 2’s and 3’s. Yellow house came 2nd from 2’s and 4th from 3’s. Green house stood on 3rd position from both 2’s and 3’ and last but not the least Blues house took 4th position from 2’s and 2nd position from 3’s. In the end, our respected Head Mistress Ma'am Aneeta Kumari distributed the trophies among the houses.

Global Dignity Day

Beaconhouse Latifabad Primary II, like each year, celebrated Global Dignity Day on the 18th and 19th of October 2022 with great compassion and determination. Students witnessed and participated in diverse activities, aiming to educate children to overlook human defaults and differences and respect each other.

The day began with the Oath-Taking Ceremony in which students from different sections of grade 3 were selected as Dignity Ambassadors and awarded GDD badges. The Dignity Ambassadors then took the pledge to always abide by and exercise the principles of dignity in their day-to-day life.

The empathetic learners of grade 2 presented a special morning assembly in which they demonstrated various ways of exhibiting dignity and kindness in mundane life through little deeds that can make a noteworthy difference in someone's life.

A Dignity Board allowed students to contemplate their ideas of peace and students embellished them with their reflections.

Urdu is the national language of Pakistan. It is one of the five most widely spoken and understood languages of Pakistan. Urdu actually is a Conglomeration of many languages, which is why it is referred to as a "lashkari language". Urdu Adab week was organized to promote the language so that it prospers and becomes one of the widely spoken languages.

Spell Bee Competition

Learning a language is the foremost step in the life of a child as it helps him/ her to communicate with the world and a school plays a vital role to train the child in this direction.

The Spell Bee Competition which was held at Latifabad Primary 2 campus aimed at creating awareness of the possibilities of using varied words in oral and written expression and to add words to the active vocabulary of students. The competition was organized for class II. The objective of the competition was to enhance the spelling and literary skills of children by encouraging them to explore the English language, expand their vocabulary & pronunciation.

Sindhi Cultural Day

“The beauty of the world lies in the diversity of its people.”

A nation’s culture resides in the heart and the soul of its people. Strong knowledge about our roots and background always help to socialize productively together which makes us stronger and united. Recognizing and validating the importance of culture, BSS LP-II responsibly planned a zealous celebration of our rich and versatile culture. Our young students clad in beautiful traditional attires depicted all the true colors of our rich culture and values. Students radiated an amazing level of passion and enthusiasm through their energetic stage performances and singing.

End of Term Party

To develop students' social and emotional skills we arranged a Happy Horror Party. Students of Class 2 and 3 were wearing masks and costumes which helped them feel less self-conscious, and offered them an opportunity to feel comfortable in a situation that is not usual. Students who feel shy are more likely to come out to this event.

Annual Sports Day

Following a month-long practice and hard work, the grandest event of the year, the Annual Sports Day, finally occurred on the breezy morning of 9th December 2022. It was a well-celebrated event that witnessed the enthusiastic participation of not only children but also teachers and parents. The spectators remained thoroughly entertained with the exhilarating performances to make the day cherish able. Students were full of beans as they showcased their talented selves by demonstrating a bewitching welcome dance, a well coordinated march past, a sportful PT display, an exuberant filler performance, and numerous athletic races. The Annual Athletics Day was a fun packed affair attended by a large gathering of parents, dignitaries, and system heads.
