Senior Mistresses Message. Early Childhood Education – a Building Block Early childhood education is the key to forming work habits, attitudes and a desire for lifelong learning. Students form beliefs about themselves, their abilities and potential and avail the opportunities provided in their early educational experiences. Beginning with the first years of schooling at home, most children go on to institutionalised education. BSS provides the groundwork for the students to gain the self-knowledge and self-confidence necessary for the journey of lifelong learning through various developmental activities, tasks and play. Dengue/Polio Awareness Day A workshop was conducted for awareness on Dengue, Polio and the vaccinations needed to be given to children till 5 years of age.
Orientations Separate orientations sessions were held for the KG’s, Nurseries and Pre-Nurseries on the 19, 20 and 24 of August to update the parents about their children’s academic progress.
Eid Milan Party An Eid Milan Party was held after the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays – the children dressed up in their best and had lots of yummy treats to eat and share.
Colour Day September was welcomed with a colour day celebration. The children wore colourful clothes according to the themes of the classes and participated in a lot of fun-filled activities.
Parent-Teacher Meetings An Integral part of academics is to make parents aware of what and how their children are doing in the school. The parents were invited for a meeting on the 10th of October to discuss the progress of their children. Global Dignity Day It was celebrated on the 17th of October internationally, so BSS KG Sargodha also participated in it. An assembly was conducted where children presented the narrative ‘Hey Little Ant’ which tells about respecting others. They also presented cards to the junior staff .The teachers planned the whole day’s work around activities involving respect and care.
Trip to the Library A trip was arranged for the Nursery sections to visit the main branch library where they read many books and enjoyed the bus ride home.
Pet Show It is important to introduce animals at a young age. Children should learn how to take care of pets and understand the special bond with them. A great way to teach children about animals is through educational activities involving their pets.
