Chief Executive’s Message Get Ready for Real Life Our Network Our Strength Our Guidance Facility Our Criteria Fee Structure and Scholarship Policy Find a Campus near You

Chief Executive's Message Dear Student, Since the inception of our A Level programme in September 1992, Beaconhouse students have set a tradition of topping A Level subjects across different cities, the country, and indeed the world. In fact, the most recent statistics from CIE indicate that the highest number of “top achievers in Pakistan are from Beaconhouse. Should you decide to join the Beaconhouse A Level programme, you will gain access not only to an excellent academic programme but to a vibrant extra- and cocurricular provision along with a strong college placement programme - all of which will ensure that you are superbly poised to enter the next stage of your life. At Beaconhouse, you may choose from a wide range of science, business, and liberal arts subjects being offered at our A Level campuses. You will be guided towards a balanced, manageable and personalised curriculum from the outset. A dedicated tutor/career counsellor will meet you on a regular basis and will be available to assist with current and future planning as well as to discuss any other concerns.

Get Ready for Real Life A Level is the intermediary stage between school and college and is an important time because students are being groomed to think independently and act responsibly. Suddenly there are more choices, more liberties and a world out there to discover. At this turning point in a student's life, the BSS A Level programme provides just that right mix of academic exposure, social interaction and extracurricular activity. We guide young minds to explore their potential in the various fields of career opportunity.

Along with an unparalleled academic provision, we also ensure that you get the opportunity to develop new interests, be involved with the school and local community, and learn new skills. Each of our 19 A Level campuses across the country offers diverse co- and extracurricular activities including the performing arts, sports and debating events, and social awareness projects - all in preparation for independent academic and social life at the university level. Before choosing a school, do visit a Beaconhouse A Level campus near you and talk to our students, who are undoubtedly our best ambassadors. If you do choose Beaconhouse for your A Levels, we can confidently predict that it will be a rewarding and enriching experience. Sincerely,

Kasim Kasuri Chief Executive 2

Our Strength We lay great emphasis on modern teaching methods, inclusive classroom sessions and interactive study techniques. We have institutionalised in-house teacher training like no other school, currently collaborating with several international universities and Beaconhouse National University in this regard. Today, more than half our teachers have internationally recognised teacher training certification.

Our Network BSS is the largest private school network in Pakistan with a growing international presence across South East Asia, Middle East and the UK. We introduced the A Level programme in 1992 and today, we have 19 campuses in Pakistan. Through us, over 30,000 students have appeared for the CIE O and A Level exams in the past 15 years. From our body of more than 196,000 students, several top the CIE High Achievers list in their city, country, and the world, every year.

In 2000, the Beaconhouse Outdoor Education Programme (BOEP) was introduced whereby, other than textbook study, students also learn through hands on activities and projects. At BSS we are constantly updating our teaching methods, evolving our curriculum and integrating new technologies to keep our students at par with global education trends. In doing so, we produce individuals who stand out from the crowd. It is due to these strengths that our students have gone on for further study to world renowned universities, including: In the UK, University of Cambridge, University College London, Oxford University, Imperial College London In the US, Harvard University, Yale University, Stanford University, Princeton University, Michigan State University, Cornell University, Johns Hopkins University In Canada, University of British Columbia, McGill University, University of Toronto In Australia, University of Sydney, Australian National University In Pakistan, LUMS, Aga Khan University, IBA, GIKI, BNU, NUST, UET

Our Guidance Facility

Our Criteria

Each of our A Level campuses has an intrinsic college placement programme wherein a designated councillor guides each student as to the best possible further study options available, both overseas and in Pakistan. Councillors guide students in deciding, first a probable career path and then the appropriate colleges to apply to. Councillors also help students prepare their applications, write a college essay and if required, fill out financial aid forms.

Admission to the A Level programme is selective and based upon applicants’: - O Level grades particularly in subjects to be pursued; - Recommendation letter from former school Head; - School record; - Interview.

Currently BSS is in the process of setting up ‘The Access Centre' located at the Beaconhouse-Newlands campus in Lahore. It is a one stop solution for students and parents to obtain all types of information regarding further study, whether in Pakistan or overseas.
