HEAD OF SCHOOL NEWSLETTER 18 January 2017
HEAD OF SCHOOL’S NEWSLETTER NO. 6 Dear Parents, 2 weeks into the new term already and this pace will be evident as the weeks fly past for our Year 10’s MYP & IGCSE & DP 2 candidates all of whom start their assessments / examinations around the end of April / beginning of May. As humans we are often lulled into a false sense of ‘Old Father Time’ and the youth are even more vulnerable as they believe they have all the time in the world! Effectively, these groups have 14 weeks until they begin that rigorous exercise which will test every part of their resolve! Please note that we are engaging constantly with these groups to understand their pressure and any shortcomings and would appreciate feedback from you and on your Managebac accounts? The rest of the school is settling after mass absence in the first week at both branches which is only starting to ease off as I write. Please remember that everyday lost at school will mean loss of education for your child and ‘Catch-up’ is never the same in terms of real learning. Also we are being very firm on punctual arrival at school each day and 8.01 am is ‘gate closing time’. Those who come after that time must have informed us prior to the lateness please. No one likes to turn a student away, but if we are lax in this regard every first and even second lesson of the day will be constantly interrupted! So too, the wearing of winter jackets / sweater other than the correct school uniforms is unacceptable. During the whole of this coming week we will be staging our Annual School Photograph sessions so please ensure your child is correctly dressed in school khaki long trousers; winter hoodie / school blazer. A cost of 500 rupees for these photographs will be charged through your next challan. Our School Play ‘The Wizard of Oz’ will be staged at our DHA Hall on 1st , 2nd , 3rd and 4th of February, with performances of approximately 90 minutes starting at 4.30 pm on 2nd February and at 6 pm on 3rd & 4th February with food outlets available and a complimentary invitation will be sent to you in due course.

HEAD OF SCHOOL NEWSLETTER 18 January 2017
We are a very decent, capable and mostly happy family of stakeholders and with our Head Office; Board of Governors’ support we are a school to be reckoned with here in Pakistan for all the right reasons. We know that our students are mostly very decent happy children although the rising spectre of narcotics / drug usage by students has sadly not evaded us entirely despite TNS’ warm cozy environment and image. You as parents and we as educationists need to be constantly aware of these and multiple dangers our children face today and to do our best to protect but educate them for a greater understanding and resistance. I look forward to a happy, progressive final term of 2016/17 which, with your full support it will be. My warm good wishes to you all for a 2017 filled with many good experiences and progress for us all.
