Achievements in Sports Stud their diffe

In Intra-Regional competitions BSTR-Ghas made records by winning 2nd Twin City Swimming Championship 2015 which was held at Pakistan Sports Board. In free style under 22 category Romaisa Ahmad got 2nd position. She also got 3rd position in Back stroke and 3rd position in relay. Zainab Omar got two medals in free style and back style in under 16 category. Linta Sohail, Eman Arshad and SavazMirgot 3rd position in Relay. We are honored to announce that our student Romaisa Ahmed was selected for upcoming National Swimming Championship and Futsall championship 2015-2016 Thailand. Washma Ejaz from IX M was selected for Inter regional Cricket Tournament held in Lahore.

Winner of NTS Junior TOFEL Test NTS TOEFL has envisaged a scholarship program in which 40 students from throughout Pakistan participated. BSTR-G is proud to announce that Hafsa Ihsan of 9-( won this scholarship.

Back to School Party Whole school celebrated the " Back to school party" after enjoying summer vacations. A singing competition was held among all the classes. Zainab Nasir from Grade 6 and "Cup Song" performed by th students of grade 8 stole the show. The whole school participated in catwalk and at the end all teachers of the campus were the show stoppers of the event.

On October ,2015 Dr Ayesha Minhas, a renowned psychiatrist currently serving in Benazir Bhutto Hospital visited BSRT-G. The purpose of her visit was to enlighten parents about parenting skills. It was an interactive session and parents came up with many queries and ambiguities regarding their parenting skills. Shl dealt with all questions patiently. A special assembly was conducted in BSTR-G. School choir sang' Har Lehza hay Momin ki Nai Aan nai Aan t Shan' immaculately. Senior students recited some verses from Allama Iqbal's poetry. Mrs Zaidi ,a very seasor teacher enlightened students with the importance of reading Iqbal's kalam and poetry. At the end all teach shared and recited theirfavorite verses from Iqbal's poetry. ~.

In order to make the pupils understand the importance of casting votes and democracy, they were invited to apF for the position of Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl for session 2015- 2016. A number of pupils wrote letters application to the school administration who, with the help of staff, shortlisted 4 pupils to stand for election. These pupils then ran an election campaign placing posters around school and delivering speeches in school assembli about why they would be the best candidate for the job. All the candidates made us proud. Maira s ed was elected as a Head Girl and Sana Qa um was elected as De u Head Girl.

Energy Conservation Day World Energy Conservation Day was celebrated in BSTR-G. Students were engaged in different activities.The celebrations of this day were marked by Poster making competition and skits highlighting importance of saving energy resources. Students showcased their working models to show that how through different economical methods more energy can be produced. Students also made slogans and beautiful badges to distribute amongst their peers. Some senior students gave thought provoking presentations and shared ·nformation regarding the purpose and .rnportcnce oj this doy .

Investiture Ceremony at BSTR-G --:: ...•..•.. -..: ceremony of BSTR-G was held in November. The chief guest of the ceremony was Academic akhshanda Asad .Student council was formally presented with badges by Mrs Rukhshanda ·a ing ceremony. The Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl, Club Presidents and Coordinators borating all their duties and objectives for the upcoming year.

NTS Essay Writing Competition Stl the dif

Beaconhouse always motivates its students to participate in competitions held at both national and internationc levels. Keeping in mind the same objective, students of BSTR-G participated in NTS Essay writing competition th October. Their efforts were highly appreciated and they were given souvenirs for their participation.

40th Birthday Celebrations of BSS On November 4,2015 BSTR-Gcelebrated BSS's 40th birthday. In a special assembly, Headmistress Mrs Samina Imr shared the contributions Beaconhouse School System has made in various fields. One of the alumni of BSTR-Gfrom batch of 2000, Miss Mariam Rafique was invited to share her memorable experiences of her student life at BSTR campus. A special video message of Mrs Nasreen Kasuri, Chairperson of BSS, was also shown to students and all st members. At the end the whole school gathered in ground to pay a special homage to their esteemed organization making a figure of 40 while standing. The celebrations ended with the traditional cake-cutting ceremony. After special assembly, the teachers distributed goody bags and candies to all the students.

Celebration of Peace Day The whole school celebrated the Peace Day. Knowledgeable and meaningful presentations in Urdu / English were staged. Peace Day programme was marked by peace songs and skits highlighting the importance of peace. Students delivered speeches and recited heart felt poems.

'IStudents' Participation in IKLC Test The students of all levels participated with great zeal in an international competition held for the second time in Pakistan for English Linguistic development. The pupils were given booklets to answer the given questions through their knowledge and understanding. The tests were sealed and sent to back with in the given time bracket to authorities for checking.

Inter School Maths Olympiad The students participated in Inter School Maths Olympiad organized by Pak Turk School. Students from grade 6 participated enthusiastically and received certificates at the end.

Clubs & Societies BSTR-G has taken an initiative to polish the pupils skills and talents in different areas of interest. The pupils of classes VI to VIII were given an option of selecting their own club and society introduced by the school such as: Music; English/Urdu literary Club; Cookery Club; Stitchery Club and Gardening Club. The pupils had excitedly opted clubs according to their interests and thoroughly enjoyed different activities being held under each club.

A delegate of students from BSTR-G went to BMI to attend a seminar on ClE. Michael Sullivan, ClE representative in Pakistan conducted a session with students and enlightened them about policies of ClE. Executive Director of BSS applauded students' achievements world over and talked about the strong bond between BSS & ClE.
