Beaconhouse School System The Potohar Times

From SHM’s Desk In the words of Dalai Lama, "When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts”. Potohar Campus is a dynamic and progressive educational institution that aims to provide the best possible education to the students under its care set within the parameters of sound values and a disciplined environment. Our objective is to provide students with the opportunity to serve, to lead, and to fulfill their potential in all spheres so that they can take their place and succeed in the modern world. Potohar is first and foremost an academic institution that has a very proud tradition of superb results. Our academic goals are dominated by the principle of 100% pass rate which is regularly achieved. We believe that students who graduate from the school must aim to achieve a university placement which will provide them opportunities that open many doors to building a successful future. An exciting new development in our school has been the launch of “Student Learners Profile”. We have worked on restructuring of the guidance program through Access Center and initiation of regular University entrance preparatory classes, so that we can meet the needs of students as they learn to deal with the pressures of University application. We also employ child protection policy (CPP) and PSHE program to assist the teachers in difficult cases. We believe that every child is a winner and we will strive to ensure that they realize their full potential at Potohar. Our very competent team of teachers strive to focus on each and every child, monitor and mentor them, appreciate their achievement and encourage them to overcome their shortcomings. Our teachers create appropriate, meaningful and participative learning situations, inculcating life skills in the impressionable children and appreciating their smallest efforts with all generosity and broadness of vision. Last but not the least, I congratulate the “POTOHAR” team and welcome Ms Naila Sohail( HM Boys Branch) and Ms Ayesha Dogar (HM KG & Primary Branch) on occupying their new purpose built premises with state of the art buildings. I expect all my colleagues to focus on their cherished goals and strive hard to accomplish them transcending mediocrity and procrastination. Wishing you all a very “ Happy New Year”.

Mrs. Samira Agha
