Dear Parents, The academic year 2017-2018 was full of devotion and passion. We are thankful to you all for having the trust in us and look forward to welcome you to the next academic year whole heartedly. Here’s a peek into various events that took place through-out the second term 2018.

Annual Sports Day 11th January “Sports is the greatest physical poetry.”

The Annual Sports Day was held at Moin Khan Academy. The ground gave a festive look with colourful balloons and students. Students walked past and performed Aerobics on a lively tune. Taekwondo students displayed their performance followed by Hula Hoop presentation which was applauded greatly by the audience. The gymnastics and yoga performances made the audience spell bound. The Leopards won the trophy for the Sports Day. Congratulations!

Parental Walkthrough Observations

January

“Those who wish to sing, always find a song.”

“Because we care….” To provide an insight to the quality of teaching and learning at school, Parental Walkthrough Observations were carried out to strengthen the ties between Beaconhouse School System and its parent body.

Zaib-un-Nisa of class IV-G and Areeba Khan of class V-B participated in Obhartay Sitaray and sang melodious songs.

Inter-Class Art Competition SGO III January “Art doesn’t have to be pretty, it has to be meaningful.” Bisma Amir, Adil Iqbal from class V and Narmeen Navaid from class IV secured 2nd, 3rd positions respectively in Inter- Class Art Competition organized by SGO III. We are proud of you our Fine Artists!

Tug of War

17th January

HRCA English Competition 18th January We feel proud to announce that Ayesha Lodhi of class V-E bagged a Gold Medal in HRCA English Competition. Splendid Efforts!

Tug of War is one of the most ancient games being played till day. Primary III PECHS secured 3rd position in Intra SGO 3 Tug of War Tournament.

Elocution Competition

6th February

Building confidence in students has always been a priority for BSS. With the aim of promoting effective and acceptable way of public speaking, Elocution Competition was held at Rangoon Wala Hall. Students were highly appreciated by the audience for their unique style. Mesmerizing Chinese songs sung by school choir added colours to the event.

International Book Giving Day

14th February “There is no friend as loyal as books.”

Intra SGO III Cricket Tournament 7th February Primary III PECHS organized a cricket tournament on behalf of SGO III. All participants thoroughly enjoyed and got opportunity to prove their outstanding skills.

E-Safety 15th February 2018 “We believe in keeping you safe” Students of classes IV and V made brochures and posters whereas students of class V-F presented a very informative role play to bring awareness about eSafety. Parents were also invited for a session to explain what e-safety is and how it can be managed at home.

‘International Book Giving Day’ was celebrated with the aim to increase children’s’ access to books and create enthusiasm for reading.


3rd Parent Teacher Meeting 24th February

“Parent involvement in education is like the frosting on a cupcake, it makes it complete.” The 3rd PTM gave an opportunity to the parents to know the academic and behavioural progress of their children and help in refining them. Efforts of teachers were highly appreciated.

Happy Holi

2nd March

“The beauty of the world lies in the diversity of its people.” Students of class II celebrated Holi with their classmates, keeping aside the cultural differences.

Rashid Malik Junior Tennis Initiative and Talent Hunt Program March “I play each point like my life depends on it.” Ahsan Ahmed of class VA secured 1st position and Gold Medal. Muhammad Chottani, Abdul Rafay Shahid, Rayyan Shahid and Sameed Ahmed won Silver Medals. Congratulations to the Champions. Well Done!

Rock Fest 2018

11th March

Annual Concert “Rock Fest 2018” was a great learning lesson of hard work, commitment and gaining confidence for the students to face the audience to perform. All the endeavors by students and teachers were cherished.

Young Mathematicians

World’s Poetry and Puppetry Day

All the students participated in World Maths Day and received certificates.

To foster a love for poetry, World’s Poetry Day was observed in which students of each level wrote poems which were displayed on Reading Wall. They also made puppets to present a role play.

7th March

Pakistan Resolution Day

21st March

22nd March “The journey began on 23rd March 1940.” A glorious occasion of Pakistan Resolution Day was commemorated with passion and enthusiasm. Skits and national songs were presented to display gratitude and respect to our leaders. Long Live Pakistan!

Bhalu ki Saalgirah

28th March

Students of Class one celebrated 'Bhaloo ki Salgirah' in accordance to their Urdu lesson. They decorated the class, wrapped gifts, made invitation cards and learnt how to plan for a birthday party.

Reading Competition 22nd March

“A book is a dream that you hold in your hands.” Inter class Reading Competition was held for all the levels. The improvement was visible through continuous teachers' support and individual attention.

Intra SGO III Basketball Tournament 3rd April

Students of class V from all branches of SGO 3 competed to prove they are the best. Primary III PECHS secured 2nd position.

Staying Healthy 20th April “Eat healthy, drink plenty of water and stay active.” Students were given a session by the Senior Headmistress Ms. Tarana Zafar about ways to take care of themselves and others during hot weather.

End of Year party Fun packed, exciting party was arranged to make wonderful memories with friends and teachers. We had a great year and our party was a way to cherish it.

Creative Writing Competition

18th April

“The desire to write grows with writing.” To instill creativity in children, Creative Writing Competition was held. The best writer was chosen from each class and was awarded with certificate.

Earth Day

23rd April

“Let’s join our hands to make earth a better living place.” Earth Day was celebrated to emphasize the fact that we need to protect our planet to thrive. Students presented speeches, recited poems, shared facts and art work to play their part to make our world a healthier and happier place to survive. A read aloud session of book 'Lorax' by Dr Seuess was organized and students were given seeds to plant them spreading the message ‘Grow plants-Save the Earth.’

Mother’s Day

11th May

Mothers are Irreplaceable ! Students showed gratitude to their mothers through skits and songs. Mothers and children enjoyed participating in different activities together.

New Initiative

This term we took the initiative of Online Assessment in classes I, II and V

Students promoted to class VI will be reporting to PECHS Campus in the new Academic Session (August 2018-2019).
