Science Exhibition on Result day BSS believe in ‘Learning by Doing!’ Students of Gulistan-e-Jauhar Campus organized an interesting ‘Science Fair’ on Jan 6th, 2018. The purpose of the event was to promote imagination and creativity in students. Students showed their growing inclination towards science by displaying quality scientific investigations, deep explorations and useful science projects including wind mills, solar powered house and mobile chargers, remote controlled cars, robots, water level detectors, electronic games, door opening detectors and many more.

Emaan Ali, a participant from class VII-C shares her experience by saying: “It was a wonderful event. It promoted a spirit of competition and creativity among us that will further enhance our talent.”

World Scholar’s Cup BSS believes in providing students opportunities to discover new strengths, practices and skills. The World Scholar's Cup (abbreviated as WSC) is an International team Academic Program with students participating from over 50 countries. Since its inception in year 2006 WSC has attracted what it calls "a global community of future scholars and leaders” and promotes participants to discover their strengths and skills that they may have never recognized ever before. It focuses on bringing students from different cultures together to discuss issues and ideas relevant to today. Each WSC Regional Round consists of four main events: The Scholar's Challenge, Collaborative Writing, The Team Debate, and the Scholar's Bowl. These activities are both social and academic and strive to solidify the community aspect of the World Scholar's Cup. World Scholar’s Cup for the first time ever, in Karachi, was hosted by BSS Jauhar Campus. Though it was a competition held on 17-18 February 2018 but was different as it turned into a celebration. Overall, 14 leading schools from Karachi and Hyderabad region joined the academic celebration. Ten teams from BSS Jauhar Campus only, have qualified for Global round. Many of our students will be travelling during summer break to continue their tournament of champions. Not only had it increased our young scholars’ understanding about different subjects, they learned how to connect them to each other and to the world. Instead of focusing on memorizing facts, WSC was all about applying them. Hence, it was the fulcrum which changed students’ aspirations. Student’s review Safia Musarrat from VIII-F shared her experience, ‘World Scholar’s Cup made me a more active person with wonderful new memories and friends. I became more passionate about arts and I really started appreciating innovative ideas.’ Laiba Sahi (VIII E) said, ‘The World’s Scholar’s Cup has been a really wonderful event. It has increased my confidence, writing skills and interactions with other people. I also got to meet students of other schools and even compete with them.’ Areeba Zahoor shared her memories, ‘The world’s Scholar cup was an extremely memorable event! It encouraged critical thinking, public speaking skills and cooperation with our peers. While challenging, it was fun filled! All in all, it was a lovely experience that everyone enjoyed.’
