It is with great pride that I would like to start by sharing with you that World’s Scholar Cup for the first time in Karachi was hosted by Gulistan- e-Jauhar Campus. The regional event at Karachi was appreciated by all stakeholders and now our five students are going to Kuala Lampur to compete at Global level while four students, will fly to Barcelona for the Global round. We wish them success and pray that they bring glory to the school. This year, our young singers proved their mettle in Obhartay Sitaray. Students of Class VI went to the Ocean Mall, Cinepax in January’ 2018 to watch Paddington 2. Paddington the bear is a popular member of the community who spreads joy and marmalade wherever he goes. A movie that promotes the importance of family and good manners might seem like it could become the squarest of snoozes, but Paddington 2 is so transcendentally cheerful that it carries the day Students enjoyed Popcorn and a variety of food from the food court before and after the movie. 18. ASSEMBLY PRESENTATIONS School assemblies are usually a way to communicate information to a large group of students simultaneously. Morning assemblies are important as it is the first step towards teamwork. They are fun. In this era scientist, philosopher and doctors says, please wake up earlier in the morning, it's good for your health and for your mind. Morning assembly in school is beneficial because, it makes student feel fresh, energetic with positive vibration.
19. TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM An effective use of Technology in Education has changed the face of education and it has created more educational opportunities. Both teachers and students have benefited from various educational technologies, teachers have learned how to integrate technology in their classrooms and students are getting more interested in learning with technology. At Beaconhouse Jauhar Campus unlike physical classrooms, online learning is ensured that gives flexibility to the students from different geographical locations so they can attend the same class, no need of traveling from those locations. Technology helps students gain access to open educational resources. These resources are kept under the public domain and are freely available to anyone over the world-Wide-Web. On the other hand, use of hands-on is made an essential part of the lesson in BSS because it allows students to engage in kinesthetic learning. Children love to get their hands on everything. They are curious about the world around them and want to touch everything their minds wonder about. At BSS Jauhar Campus teachers have found that giving different visual methods to a lesson is better received than giving two verbal methods. Children stay engaged with hands-on interaction because it keeps them moving and shows how much learning can be fun!

20. PARENTS’ AWARENESS PROGRAM Here at BSS we believe that children feel valued and perform better when their parents are fully involved in their education. To achieve this goal , “Parent Walk Through Program" was initiated. This program has been developed to foster a spirit of loyalty, harmony and strengthen the ties between Beaconhouse School System and its parent body. For child care and school professionals, working with parents and sharing information is a great way to setup a parent teacher partnership. For this parents were invited to sit in their child’s class during the lesson to experience class environment and students behavior during the lesson. Parents who get involved are most likely to understand and support approaches that are being used in the class and will apply these strategies at home. This program endeavours to provide the parents with the opportunity to observe first hand and unique teaching experience that have been incorporated in the system.
