Time flies away! Another academic year is passed. Our students have displayed their best in curricular and co- curricular activities and brought laurels for themselves as well as for the school. These achievements have been intimated to you from time to time through newsletters. For all these accomplishments, we extend our profound gratitude to the parents who have always displayed co-operation, to all the fellow workers including junior staff who have worked earnestly and industriously to keep up the Beaconhouse mission. School will be closed from 1st of June 2010 for summer vacations. Since it would be a long period I suggest you to help your child spend this leisure time constructively and beneficially. This would be the best time for making up for the deficiencies of our children and prepare them for the next academic session. School has planned Holidays homework for the students that would not only keep them busy but also polish their reading and writing skills in languages. Kindly make them do their homework consciously and independently (without any undue help). Have nice and relaxing summer vacations. Mrs. Farrukh Kamal Headmistress

Reading Competitions Reading was the primary objective of the year 20092010. Many reading strategies were designed and implemented with a target to improve the reading skills of the students with a primary focus on developing word recognition, correct pronunciation and accent, fluency, increasing confidence and intonation. Students at all levels were divided into three groups according to their reading capabilities. They were regularly evaluated and guided by their class teachers as well as by reading program coordinators- Ms. Ayesha Muzaffar and Uzma Ahmed. Every effort seems fruitless until and unless it is appreciated and awarded . In order to award best readers in all the three groups reading competitions were organized at all levels and the winners were awarded with certificates and prizes. Parents were invited to take story time sessions and students went to 41-A1Peco road branch to read out stories to the students of early years that generated a great boost among them.
