DIVERSITY SHUTTLE Rustavi, Georgia, 1/07/2017 - 1/08/2017
10 young people from Gmina DÄ…browa (Poland) took part in short term EVS in Rustavi, Georgia. Volunteers were hosted by the organization Georgian Youth For Europe for one month. The aim of the project was an intercultural exchange through voluntary work between Polish participants and Georgian youth and children. Polish volunteers were involved in youth work of hosting organization. They planned and implemented a couple of non-formal activities for young people in Rustavi city, such as Polish night, square event, meeting in Young Farmers Centre. Participants developed several competencies: creativity, cultural awareness, communication in a foreign language, team work, sense of initiative, ability to plan and implement activities, leadership skills, dealing with cultural differences. Volunteers are empowered to taking part in learning mobilities, active citizenship and they become ambassadors of EVS to local rural youth.
