A TASTE OF ART BEAUMONT (16+ ADULT) Join us for various types of art brought to you by instructors of the Artists Association of Beaumont! All of these classes are workshop formats, so you can pick and choose which ones you would like to experience! Unless otherwise stated, supplies will be provided for all classes.

STAINED GLASS – FAIRY HOUSE Join this workshop for an exciting hands-on experience! In 6 hours you will learn and have the confidence to cut, grind, foil, and solder a stained glass fairy house. You will have the opportunity to create your own unique design by choosing from a variety of patterns, colours and textures to personalize to your style. This workshop does not require any previous glass experience, just a willingness to try something new! All supplies included. 5690

STAINED GLASS – CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS Join in for this fun hands-on workshop. You will be guided through the basics of creating your own stained glass Christmas ornaments. In just a matter of hours you will learn the techniques and skills needed to cut, grind, fit, foil, solder your very own ornaments. You will be creating 2 ornaments, where you can choose from a variety of patterns, colours and textures to personalize to your style. No experience necessary. All supplies included. 5692

Whether your interest is landscape, wildlife, nature, or macro photography, join our professional photographer leading this class to explore the fall colours in the prairies. In this 4 week class we will be learning and practicing various techniques for making the most of fall colours. We will be going on multiple photo walks to practice techniques and participants will be given optional photographic assignments. The final class will give participants the opportunity to share images they captured during the photo walks, receive feedback, and ask follow up questions. Beginner to intermediate photographers all welcome! Photo walk locations will be chosen based on leaf progression and can include areas like Edmonton River Valley, Sherwood Park Nature Area, parks in Beaumont area, etc. 5693

WEAVING IN THE ROUND In this 3 week class learn how to weave using an embroidery hoop and metal hoops as the frame for your design. We will use several weaving techniques to create two wall hangings that you will be proud to hang in your home. Participants are asked to bring a pair of sharp scissors; all other materials will be provided. Completing the Introduction to Weaving course is not required but is recommended. 5437

MAKE YOUR OWN CHAKRA ESSENTIAL OIL BRACELET If you would like to draw more positive energy into your life, then this is the class for you. Join this workshop to learn about the seven major chakras in the body. When chakras are open, clear and balanced, our vital life force (otherwise known as energy or Qi) can be easily accessed for wellbeing and inner peace. While learning about the Chakras you will create your own chakra essential oil lava bracelet to take home with you. 5659

HOW TO WRITE A BOOK IN 40 DAYS In this course, participants will learn about writing a book, and all the logistics behind the scenes. Our published instructor will share with participants the fool proof formula for creating a complete overview of their book, how to easily structure chapters and sub-chapter, the guaranteed cure for writers block, and how to craft a compelling title. However, beyond writing a strong book, you will also learn the pros and cons of traditional publishing vs selfpublishing, how to obtain IBSN numbers and their importance, marketing tips and ideas, as well as how to get your books on Amazon (the world’s largest bookstore). 5658

MOUNTAIN WEAVING Join our experienced instructor in this two class workshop where you will be using a Canadianmade mountain shaped frame loom to make a beautiful wall hanging. The loom forms the frame for your lovely finished mountain-themed piece! All materials are provided, you will be choosing yarns/ rovings at the beginning of the workshop for your piece to customize it to your preferences. All tools are provided, participants are required to bring a pair of sharp scissors. Completing the Introduction to Weaving course is required prior to the start of this class. 5438
