CHILDREN’S PROGRAMMING: BIRTH TO SIX

Tickle Time builds literacy through singing, rhyming and stories with your child, birth to 24 months. Offered Sept 15-Oct 22, Nov 10-Dec 17, 2021; Jan 12-Feb 16, Mar 9-18, 2022. No charge, but registration is required. Rhyme Time is a parented session of early literacy fun with stories, songs & crafts for 2-4 years old. Offered in English & French, Sept 13-Oct 21; Nov 8-Dec 16, 2021; Jan 10-Feb 17, Mar 7-17, 2022. No charge, but registration is required. Story Time continues with literacy fun and school readiness as children 3-6 yrs. sing, craft and enjoy stories & activities in this partially parented class. Offered Sept 15-Oct 22, Nov 10-Dec 17, 2021; Jan 12-Feb 16, Mar 9-18, 2022. No charge, but registration is required. Family Storytime offers literacy fun for the whole family, birth to six years. Offered Sept 13-Oct 21; Nov 8-Dec 16, 2021; Jan 10-Feb 17, Mar 7-17, 2022. No charge, but registration is required. Online Short & Sweets Story Times are fun and fast with songs & story recommendations.

10-week Multi-level French Course, $185 + wkbk., Tuesdays, 6:30-8:00 pm, offered Sept 21-Nov 30; Jan 11-Mar 15, 2022. 10-week Spanish Course (Beginner to Intermediate), $185 + wkbk., Saturdays, 2:30-4:00 pm, offered Oct 2-Dec 4, 2021; Jan 15-Mar 19, 2022. 10-week Absolute Beginner Spanish Course, $185 + wkbk., Saturdays, 12:45 - 2:15 pm, offered Oct 2-Dec 4, 2021; Jan 15-Mar 19, 2022. 8-week American Sign Language Course Level 1, $95, Saturdays, 11:00-12:30 pm, offered Oct 2-Nov 20, 2021; Jan 15-Mar 5, 2022. Online ESL Circle meets Thursdays, 6:30-8:00 pm, except for the 2nd Thursday of each month. Online Spanish Conversation Club meets 2nd & 4th Fridays of each month, 5:30-6:30 pm. French Conversation Club meets 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month, 7:00-8:00 pm.

CLUBS & MORE:

Seniors Corner enjoys special speakers & activities. Join us the 2nd Tuesday/month 1:00-2:00 pm. Kicking off Sept 14 with Fun ‘n Games and finishing up 2021 with a Christmas Lunch. No charge, but registration is required. Looking to volunteer? Friends of the Library can always use more friends for their events and the library is on the lookout for volunteer tutors, program helpers, readers, and even someone to host a Lego club. HomesCool Connections offers interesting speakers & activities for the K-Gr 9 crowd. 3rd Tuesday/month 1:00-3:00 pm starting September 15. No charge, but registration is required. BYOBook Kids Book Club for boys & girls, Grades 4-7; Love to read? Love to chat? Join us for both! Meeting the 1st Wednesday/month 3:30-5:00 pm starting October 6, 2021. Student to Student Tutoring connects honour students (Gr. 8-12) with younger students, focusing on homework and a better understanding of concepts. Fee: $12/hr. Online Computer Workshops Tuesdays, 7-9 pm with Stan Gerber. Register online at www.beaumontlibrary.com. Sept 21- Organizing Photos; Oct 19- Editing Photos; Nov 16- Making a Video with photos. Moccasin Making for Adults facilitated by Metis Alive Cultural Experiences comes to the library. In this four-day workshop you will design, bead, and sew your own Metis moccasins. Saturday/Sunday, Sept 11 & 12, 10:00 am –4:00 pm and Saturday/Sunday, Sept 25 & 26, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. No experience necessary and all supplies included. Fee: $150/ person; register online.

Wednesday, Dec 15, 4:30-7:30 pm with Thistlehill Farm Petting Zoo and Hayrides. Celebrate Family Literacy Together on January 27, 6-7:30 pm. Join in the fun!
