YOUNG ARTISTS OF BEAUMONT (7-11 YRS.) With an eye to promoting self-expression through Art, this course uses basic mediums of pencils, crayons, pastels, charcoal and water colour to allow students to develop their creativity. They are taught some of the basics of shapes and form, drawing, colour mixing, and perspective. Separate projects involving the use of clay and recyclables further the experience throughout the classes. References to works by some of the Masters are shared showing the progression of art through history and the differences brought in by various cultures. Ideally, the students would be involved in an exhibit of their creations at the end of the sessions. 16975 THURS
