Hormonal Acne Treatment by acneguru Hormones play a major role in the occurrence of acne outbreaks. While it’s normal to experience such breakouts during puberty, there are cases where the outbreaks persist into adulthood. Hormonal acne can affect both genders. However, it seems to affect women more than men. This type acne is caused by hormonal imbalance which comes as a result of excess androgen production. Androgens are hormones which play a role in the secretion of sebum in the oil glands. Excess sebum in the skin pores can cause clogging and hence acne breakouts. Some of the hormonal acne treatment methods available include the following. Antibiotics There are different types of antibiotics which can be used to treat hormonal acne. These can be grouped according to their functions as follows. Anti androgens These drugs are administered to control the release of androgens in the body. They work by slowing down androgen production or blocking the production altogether. Such antibiotics include birth control pills. Anti androgens can have side effects which include irregular menstrual periods and stomach upset in women. Topical antibiotics Although hormonal acne is caused by hormonal fluctuations in the body, their formation is more like that of other acne types. Since excessive sebum and bacterial action leads to the clogging of skin pores, topical antibiotics can be used to unclog the pores as well as kill acne causing bacteria. Some of the commonly prescribed topical acne antibiotics include clindamycin. Apart from antibiotics, topical applications of lotions containing acne fighting ingredients an also be used. Oral antibiotics As with the topical antibiotics these can also be used to help unclog the skin pores and reduce inflammation. Commonly prescribed antibiotics include tetracycline and erythromycin. Something worth noting about the topical and oral antibiotics is that they usually don’t help restore hormonal balance in the body. They can also have possible side effects such as irritation to the skin, dryness and stomach upset. Anti inflammatories These drugs help to control the inflammation caused by breakouts. They are taken orally and have possible side effects including weight gain and loss of bone mass. Although the antibiotics used to treat hormonal acne have been grouped according to their functions, it isn’t uncommon to find antibiotics which combine more than one of these

functions. In addition, for the best results, it is recommended that you use a combination of both oral and topical antibiotics in order to get the best results. Exercise Regular exercise helps the body maintain a healthy hormone balance. In addition, it helps to keep skin pores active as they remove toxins from the body. Also, exercise is a great way to relieve stress. Exercise also helps the body burn off excess body fat. Excess at in the body has been found to play a role in the development of acne. Some daily exercise will help you get rid of hormonal acne. Stress management Studies show that women who experience high amounts of stress daily are more vulnerable to hormonal acne than those with less stress. Stress plays a big role in the disruption of the body’s hormone balance. If you find that you are constantly stressed, it might be the cause of your breakouts. Finding stress management activities such as exercise will help you treat your acne. Rest During the day, the body is actively secreting hormones to enable proper functioning. However, the body requires periods of rest where it regains hormonal balance. Androgens are responsible for keeping the body active. If the body doesn’t get enough rest daily, this might trigger excessive production of this hormone. This can lead to the development of hormonal acne. Hormonal acne can be hard to get rid of. The condition can suddenly affect you even if you managed to get through puberty without and acne breakouts. Since it’s primarily caused by hormone imbalance in the body, treatment methods should be geared towards maintaining a healthy hormonal balance. I have compiled a short report detailing 5 easy steps to help you get rid of acne. The five steps mentioned will help you manage your hormone levels allowing you to treat acne and reduce chances of recurrence. They are quite simple to implement but have guaranteed results. Cystic Acne Treatment by acneguru Cystic acne is an inflamed type of acne that is quite painful and is the most severe. This condition is the result of not having nodule acne treated which results in the enlargement of the acne nodules. The continued growth of the nodules causes swelling and possible rupturing of the lesions beneath the skin surface. The fluids present in the nodules seep into the surrounding skin making the inflammation worse. Studies have shown that cystic acne is more common in teenage boys and young adult males. It has also been observed that cystic acne tends to run in families. However, this condition can affect anyone. Most of the people who develop cystic acne also have other acne types including whiteheads, blackheads and pustules. Although it is quite severe, this condition develops the same way as other acne types. That is, excess secretion of sebum, excess dead skin cells and the presence of a large number of acne causing bacteria. Being a severe form of acne, it is a bit hard to treat it than it is treating other acne types. Some of the methods found to be effective in treating cystic acne include the following. Accutane This drug is also known as isotetrinoin. It is commonly prescribed as a cystic acne treatment when the acne doesn’t respond to treatment with other antibiotics. Accutane is a form of vitamin A which works by inhibiting the action of oil glands on the skin. That is, it works by preventing production of sebum by hair follicles. Although it has been found to be very effective in the treatment of cystic acne, accutane has serious side effects especially when used by pregnant women. This drug poses serious birth defects on the fetus if used during pregnancy. Other side effects associated with this drug include alopecia and problems of the skin, nails and eyes, depression, erectile dysfunction and liver damage. It is recommended that you only use accutane under the guidance of a qualified medical professional. Antibiotics Oral and topical antibiotics such as tetracycline and erythromycin can also be used for the treatment of cystic acne. These medicines help to reduce inflammation and the number of acne causing bacteria on the skin. However, these drugs cannot prevent the reoccurrence of cystic acne and have some possible side effects including skin irritation, stomach upset and yeast infections in women. Cortisone The steroid cortisone has also been effectively used for the treatment of cystic acne. This is a naturally occurring steroid whose function in the body is to counter inflammation and hasten the healing process. It is directly injected into the cyst and works by reducing the size of the acne lesions. A major advantage is that the healing process starts immediately.

Birth control pills Cystic acne in women can be the result of hormonal changes where excess estrogen is produced in the body. This leads to the development of acne. Birth control pills can be administered to maintain a hormonal balance in the body helping treat the acne breakout. Surgical procedures In some cases, the cysts grow too large and don’t respond well to other treatment methods. Surgical procedures to drain the cysts and extract them can be performed as a treatment method. This however shouldn’t be likened to squeezing the cysts. It should be done by a qualified dermatologist to prevent infection or spreading the acne to other parts of the skin. Self treatment Although the above mentioned treatment methods are proven to work, they don’t guarantee that the cystic acne won’t recur. Self treatment is geared towards reducing the chances that the cysts will pop up in future. Some of the things to do include identification of the causes of the breakouts and dealing with them. For example, if you find that your diet plays a role in the breakouts, its best to change to a healthy diet. I have compiled a short report detailing 5 simple steps to getting rid of acne. These practical steps will enable you free yourself from cystic acne and also reduce the chances of recurrence. The main advantages of these steps is that they are practical, can be practiced from home and have no side effects. Clear Acne Fast by acneguru Zits always seem to pop out from nowhere. You can go to bed and wake up in the morning with a breakout. The sad part is that they also seem to hang around longer than is welcome, if they ever were in the first place. Due to the fact that acne breakouts suddenly disrupt your plans – many people have had to change their schedule because of those annoying pimples, the first thing that comes to mind is finding ways to clear acne fast. There are many products claiming to help people clear acne scars within a short period. Some claim to do this even within a week! But are there products which can help you clear acne blemishes within record time? And if so, which products are these? The process of clearing acne needs to take into account different factors. There are steps to take in order to get rid of acne. Shortcuts only help to clear the surface problem and not the root cause. As a result, you might find that there is a recurrence of the breakouts. Another problem with “shortcut” ways to clear acne fast is that the bacteria might become resistant to the treatment method used. Studies show that acne causing bacteria is becoming resistant to some of the treatment methods available including antibiotics. If you want to clear acne fast, you might be surprised to find that fast isn’t necessarily the best solution. You need to be patient and give the breakouts a couple of weeks before they clear off your skin. Here are the steps you need to take in order to clear acne fast. Identify the type of acne you have There are different types of acne. They are formed as a result of accumulation of bacteria, sebum, dead skin cells and toxins inside the hair follicle clogging skin pores. The main differences among the acne type are in terms of size and structure. Identifying the type of acne you have gives you a better chance of finding an effective way to treat the condition. Some acne types can be easily identifiable. For example, nodule acne can be easily seen with the naked eye. It’s also painful. Whiteheads on the other hand are pretty small and you might need to consult a dermatologist for a confirmation on the type of acne you have. Identify the cause of the acne Do you have a family history of acne? Did you eat something which might have triggered the breakouts? Have you been stressed lately of have a condition which might trigger hormonal changes in your body? There are many different reasons why acne breakouts form on the skin. Taking some time to identify what might have caused the acne will also give you a better picture of which treatment methods to use. Keep the affected area clean and moist As mentioned, acne is the result of clogged skin pores. Cleaning helps to remove dirt and dead skin cells from the skin surrounding the acne. It also helps to remove bacteria which might make the condition worse. After cleaning, it’s best to moisturize the skin. The reason for this is that dry skin triggers production of sebum which might worsen the breakouts. Apply moisturizer on the affected area to keep it moist.

Exfoliate Actively remove dead skin cells from your body. You can use home based exfoliants such as lemon juice, vinegar or honey. Apply on the affected areas and wash off. Exfoliation also helps to unclog the skin pores. Use antibiotics There are different antibiotics designed to treat acne. The antibiotics can be used orally or applied on the skin. Caution must be taken when using the antibiotics as they can have possible side effects. Also, given that there are different types available it is best to use them under a doctor’s guidance. Home based acne treatment Over the years, different home based products have been found to be effective in the treatment of acne. These products are easily available and don’t cost much compared to antibiotics. I have compiled a short report detailing 5 simple steps to getting rid of acne. The acne treatment methods included in the report are home based and don’t have side effects. To learn more, get your free report here http://diybody.com/acne/5-steps-to-ending-acne .

Body Acne – What You Need To Do To End It by acneguru Body acne is found in different parts of the body including the back, chest, legs, shoulders and neck. Studies show that the majority of people suffering from facial acne also have body acne. It is common in teenagers and young adults. There are different types of body acne and treatment methods will depend on the type. Here are the types of acne which can develop on the body. Whiteheads These acne types appear as small bumps with a white center. They might be so small that you might not notice them. Whiteheads form when the hair follicle secretes excess sebum such that it clogs the skin pores. The sebum remains trapped under the skins surface. In addition to sebum, the whitehead also contains acne causing bacteria. This type of acne is also called closed comedones and is a non-inflamed type of acne. Blackheads These are another type of non-inflamed acne. Blackheads are also known as open comedones. They form as a result of sebum and bacteria accumulation within skin pores causing them to burst. This results in the oxidation of melanin resulting in the black coloration of the pimple. Papules Papules are commonly known as pimples. These are inflamed acne spots. They are visible to the naked eye and unlike whiteheads they don’t have any visible fluids within them. Papules are usually less than one centimeter in diameter. Pustules Pustules are another type of inflamed acne. They appear as small bumps with a whitish or yellowish center. The coloration comes from the pus found within the pustule and it comprises dead skin cells, white blood cells and sebum. They are usually larger than papules. Nodules and cysts These are severe types acne vulgaris. They are inflamed acne types and are particularly painful. Unlike other acne types which form just beneath the surface of the skin, nodules form deep within the skin and form large pimples on the surface. They are also a bit large and mostly grow over 1 centimeter on diameter. Cystic acne is an advanced type of nodular acne. They form as a result of nodular acne going untreated. The pus contained in the nodules seeps deep into the skin causing severe inflammation and swelling. Identifying the type of acne you suffer from is the first step to finding effective treatment. It might help seeing a dermatologist to get a better picture about the type of acne you have. There isn’t a specific cause of body acne. However, there are several factors which have been identified to cause acne on the body. These include the following.

Hormonal changes Acne is common during puberty. At this stage, there are many different hormonal changes occurring within the body. These changes trigger excess sebum secretion which can lead to acne development. Another case where acne is triggered by hormonal changes is during the monthly cycle in women. Although acne is considered a hormonal condition, acne caused mainly by hormone imbalance is common among young adults. Hereditary Studies have shown that some types of acne tend to run through families. If your family has a history of acne, it is very likely that you will develop acne at a point in your life. Cystic acne is believed to be hereditary although almost anyone can develop this condition. Diet Diets high in processed sugar and dairy products have been closely associated with breakouts. High sugar levels in the blood trigger excess sebum production in the skin leading to breakouts. Stress Studies conducted have also found stress to be closely associated with acne breakouts. Stress usually triggers a hormonal change in the body which can lead to acne breakouts. Treatment methods Given the fact that there are different types of acne, the treatment methods available vary. The common methods available include use of antibiotics, skin care products and home based products. Treatment can also involve amazing lifestyle changes such as exercising and changing diet. My free report detailing 5 steps to get rid of acne provides information on how you can treat acne using 5 practical steps. These treatment methods will work for you and there are no side effects involved. You can get your free copy of this report here: http://diybody.com/acne/5steps-to-ending-acne

Antibiotics For Acne by acneguru Antibiotics are the most commonly used method for treating acne. There are different antibiotics used to treat acne. They all work in more or less the same way. Acne antibiotics can either be used orally or applied on the skin. Although they can help reduce and clear acne breakouts, these antibiotics have their associated side effects. How they work Antibiotics for acne work in four main ways. First, they fight acne causing bacteria. This helps to reduce the number of acne causing bacteria on the skin and therefore helping reduce the breakouts. In addition, the antibiotics help to prevent the recurrence of the breakouts by protecting the skin from the acne causing bacteria. Secondly, they actively unclog skin pores by removing any particles and dirt which might cause the acne. Topical antibiotics usually do this. They contain exfoliant ingredients which help to unclog skin pores and remove any dead skin cells. Thirdly, they reduce histamine in the blood. Histamine is produced by the white blood cells as an immune response leading to inflammation. Finally, the antibiotics help to maintain a hormonal balance within the body. Hormone imbalance has been linked to excessive sebum secretion in the oil glands which contributes to the development of acne breakouts. Oral antibiotics for acne There are different types of oral antibiotics prescribed for the treatment of acne. The most common of these include the following. Tetracycline is one of the commonly prescribed acne treatments. For effectiveness, the patient has to take the medication on an empty stomach. Taking the medication with meals reduces its effectiveness. It has a derivative, minocycline which is commonly prescribed for treatment of pustular acne. Doxycycline is an acne treatment antibiotic commonly prescribed for patients whose acne conditions don’t respond to treatment with tetracycline or minocycline. It should be taken with food. Possible side effects of oral antibiotics for acne • • • • •

Nausea and vomiting Candida vaginal yeast infection in women Interaction with birth control pills lessening their effectiveness Increased skin sensitivity to the sun Allergic reactions to the medication

Topical antibiotics for acne These antibiotics are applied directly to the affected area. They come in the form of lotions, gels, pads, ointments and creams. Application of the antibiotics usually comes after thoroughly cleaning the skin. Common topical acne antibiotics include the following. Benzoyl peroxide works well as a topical acne treatment. It works by killing bacterial reducing inflammation and has an exfoliating effect. Clindamycin and erythromycin are both used as oral and topical acne treatments. Possible side effects of topical antibiotics for acne • • • • •

Skin irritation Increased skin sensitivity to the sun Allergic reaction to the antibiotics Dryness and flaking of the skin Oral clindamycin can cause pseudomembranous which is an intestinal infection.

Before using any of the antibiotics it is recommended that you consult a dermatologist. The reason for this is that besides the stated side effects, the antibiotics can also interact with other medicines or negatively affect your health. In addition, most of these antibiotics aren’t for use on children unless recommended by a doctor. Who can use antibiotics for acne? Anyone with acne breakouts can use antibiotics for acne as a treatment method. However, given the possible side effects and some conditions such as pregnancy, skin disease and other health related conditions, it is best to consult a dermatologist before taking any of these antibiotics. How effective are the antibiotics Many acne sufferers have found the antibiotics to be quite effective in combating acne breakouts. However, effectiveness comes down to the type of antibiotics for acne used and the individual’s condition. A study showed that the acne causing bacteria is becoming resistant to some of the antibiotics making them less effective for treatment. Finding the most effective antibiotics for acne to treat your breakouts can be a costly affair. The problem is that not all antibiotics available guarantee great results. If you want effective acne treatment methods which guarantee results despite your acne condition, I have compiled a short report detailing 5 easy steps to get rid of acne. The five steps involved in the report don’t have any side effects and are cost effective. You can get your free copy of the report here.

Aloe Vera For Acne by acneguru Millions of people suffer from acne breakouts. Many will agree that it doesn’t make their life easier. Most suffer from low self esteem and this only makes the breakouts worse. There are countless products and acne treatments coming up each day. Some work and some plain don’t. A treatment method which has been proven to work in eliminating acne for good is the aloe vera plant. Regular application of aloe vera sap or aloe vera based products will help clear your skin of those irritating spots. Aloe vera is a succulent plant which has been found to have numerous medical uses. Among this is the treatment and prevention of acne. How does a person get acne? Most people get acne during puberty. The condition might go away as they grow older or continue to persist. Children can also get acne. This skin condition occurs when the skins pores get clogged by sebum, dead skin cells, dirt and toxins. This provides a habitat for bacteria which results in inflammation of the skin. How does aloe vera work? The aloe vera plant has many medical properties which have been used for centuries to heal different health conditions. Some of the beneficial properties found in the aloe vera plant include antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti histamine properties. Studies have also shown that aloe vera can reach deep into the body when applied externally. It’s for this reason that aloe vera best works in treating acne when applied on the skin. Some of the ways which aloe ingredients work to clear acne rashes from the skin include the following. •

• •

Its antibacterial properties kill any bacteria that might be on the skin. This way, the bacteria won’t be able to penetrate into the skin pores and cause inflammation. This makes aloe vera a great way not only for the treatment of acne but also for its prevention. Aloe vera has healing properties which enable fast healing of skin cells. The plant has a variety of vitamins and other ingredients which strengthen the immune system and promote tissue healing. When applied on the skin, it will help your skin heal faster and also help prevent the formation of acne scars after healing. It has an antioxidant effect. This way, it will help skin cells eliminate most of the toxins. As a result, the chances that acne breakouts might recur are reduced. Its antihistamine effect helps to reduce inflammation and swelling on the skin around the breakouts.

How to use aloe vera to treat acne Aloe vera can be used both externally and internally to treat acne. To get the best results, it’s recommended that you use both methods.

External use of aloe vera involves the application of fresh aloe vera or aloe based cosmetics on the affected area. Simply cut an aloe leaf and squeeze it to get the sap. Apply the sap on the skin and let it stand for a few minutes before washing off. Ensure that the skin is clean before application. When using aloe based products, simply follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer. Internal use of aloe vera involves drinking of aloe vera juice. The juice usually consists of aloe vera sap mixed with water and other juices. Does aloe vera work? Research conducted has proven that aloe vera can treat acne. However, since it is a herbal product there are potential side effects including allergic reactions to aloe. Another possible side effect is stomach upset when the aloe is taken as juice. You don’t need a prescription to use aloe vera based products. However, if you experience any side effects after use, its best to stop using it altogether. Aloe vera is one of the many effective methods you can use to treat acne. Like the other acne treatment methods, it isn’t for everyone. Scalp Acne by acneguru Acne on your face is one matter; acne on your head is another. Those pesky pimples really, really hurt when they end up on the top of your head because your comb, brush and fingers always seem to find them. What is it about a sore place on our head? Why do we pick at it 100 times a day? In this case, it only makes it worse as your sometimes-dirty hand rubs the acne again and again and again. Uh, it’s still there, and it’s going to be there until you treat it. Even then, it’s going to take some time to get rid of it, so stop touching it already and let’s discuss your battle plan to fight scalp acne! Acne breaks out on your scalp for a couple of different reasons. It could occur for the same reasons that it occurs on other parts of your body—pores get blocked, excessive oils are produced, bacteria multiplies and certain areas become inflamed. Or, it could come about because of an abnormality involving your hair follicles, meaning that you could have more acne on your scalp than on other parts of your body. If this is true, you might have medical condition that I will address more below. First, let’s talk about getting rid of the scalp acne. You should know that many pimples on your pumpkin will go away on their own, that is, if you stop rubbing them with your dirty fingers. Seriously, most of the acne on your scalp will disappear in a week or so if left alone. Other pimples might need more serious treatment. Some grow quite tender and sore and can be much more stubborn about staying. Treating scalp acne can be a little tricky because hair usually gets in the way of directly attacking the inflammation. To help with this, you need to first cut out the oily products that you use on your hair. Yes, all hair products have oils in them, but some contain more than others. Do a little research if necessary and find out which products you can switch to if the ones you currently use are high in oil. An experiment you can do is to abstain from your current hair care and styling products and see if your problem goes away. If so, you’ll need to make a permanent change. Another bit of common advice is to use a very mild, gentle shampoo for a week or two and forego the conditioner. This can help to reduce your scalp’s exposure to oil and might solve your problem as well. Other than simply varying the products that you use to clean and care for your hair, you can also, of course, apply certain medicines to your scalp in a direct attack on the acne. Benzoyl peroxide is quite popular as an antidote to acne because it works. The issue with applying it to your scalp is that is can bleach your hair. You might want that cool look, but if you don’t, you’re going to have to either be extremely pin point in your application of benzoyl peroxide or you’re going to have to choose another weapon. Again, do some research and discover other medicines that will not bleach your hair as you treat your acne. Your hairdresser might know a trick or two for fighting scalp acne. Some people have found anti-dandruff shampoos to be effective in combating acne. This would make sense in that these shampoos often contain large amounts of zinc, which has proven to be successful in treating acne.

If changing your shampoo doesn’t work and benzoyl peroxide is doing nothing to solve your problem, you might have a more serious issue involving your hair follicles. There is a medical condition called scalp foliculitis, which can produce widespread sores that itch, especially along the hairline. This condition is thought to be caused by bacteria and buildups of yeast, and you’re going to need to see a doctor to get a prescription for an antibiotic, antihistamine, antifungal and/or steroid agent. In fact, the next time you see your doctor, have him or her take a look at your scalp and s/he should be able to tell if it’s standard scalp acne or something more serious. More help for scalp acne and all other forms of acne can be found on various sites on the Web, although it’s never a bad idea to talk to your doctor or to see a dermatologist. In conjunction with counsel from the pros, some sites can give you tips that are hard to find in other places, advice that can be easily applied and can help you to manage or eliminate your acne. One such site is: http://diybody.com/acne/5-steps-to-ending-acne/, loaded with straightforward, proven to work guidance that will have your face and scalp looking better than ever.

How To Stop Acne by acneguru First, a caveat. If you are genetically predisposed to having excessive acne (a serious skin condition), no matter what you read or hear, you will probably only be able to manage your acne, not stop it altogether. In addition, most people that pass through adolescence and beyond have to battle a pimple or two or ten. That is normal, but the good news is that there are many steps that you can take to stop acne before it becomes a widespread problem for your face, chest, back or other parts of your body. The advice below might prove to be really disappointing to you because it won’t reveal any magical cures or an ingredient just discovered in a plant in New Guinea that, when ingested, cures acne forever. Hang in there. These tips might require a little work on your part, a little change to your routine, a little adjustment to your diet, but it all will be worth it, won’t it? Won’t it be way cooler to wake up and see no new zits on your face? I thought so. Okay, let’s get to work: 1) Acne is primarily a nasty combination of excessive oil, blocked pores and bacteria that live on your face and multiply, thus aggravating your skin and producing a pimple. This first step will be quite simple: DON’T EVER touch your face unless you’ve washed your hands vigorously. I’m not going to do any surveillance on you, but I’m willing to bet that you touch your face at least 10 times a day without washing your hands before. Am I right? Yeah, that’s what I thought. So, the lesson here is to make a conscious effort not to touch your face. The reason is those hands, which might seem pretty clean to you, are actually loaded with bacteria that you picked up from your locker handle, your backpack, your basketball, any number of sources. That bacteria, when added to the already generous pool of bacteria on your face, will produce nothing but trouble for your acne. Step one: stop touching your face during the day. 2) Wash your face thoroughly and gently at least once a day, preferably at night. Apply a medicated cleanser to fight the bacteria on your face and to clean off the dead skin cells that can clog your pores. Do a little research and find a moderately-priced cleanser. Remember, everyone’s skin is different. What works for your friend might not work for you. If you try the same cleanser as a friend and your acne just gets worse, switch it up. 3) Exercise regularly. You’re going to have to get up off that couch if you are serious about your fight with acne. You might say, “Aw, c’mon, a couple of video games never caused acne.” You’re right, to an extent, but the benefits of regular exercise will do nothing but help you in your battle with acne. Exercise reduces stress, which has been linked to acne, and it increases circulation and oxygen penetration of the skin cells. A healthier, fitter you will be a less stressed, better sleeping you, which equals probable better results with acne. 4) That leads to point four—getting regular sleep. Yeah, I know that you claim to be a night owl. I also know that you can’t maintain your 2 a.m.-6 a.m. sleep time and live to tell about it. Turn off the computer, get off the phone, power down your game console. You need to get to bed and do all you can to minimize the stress in your life and keep your body in balance. And, as you sleep, be sure to take all of your makeup off and pull your hair back away from your face. Also be sure to sleep in clean pillowcases and linens, changing them about once a week. You might have acne worse than you need to because you’ve been

sleeping on grimy pillowcases because you never let your Mom into your room. Lighten up! Pull that pillowcase off, get it washed, make sure your sleeping area is clean and get the rest you need. You do want to get rid of those zits, right? OK, quit trying to win the contest at school for who sleeps the least. The “winner” of that contest just loses in the long run. 5) Take a shower right after you sweat a lot, like after the exercise you’re going to get now as you apply point 3. As you sweat, your body is producing even more oils than usual. You need to clean them off ASAP and keep your pores unblocked. Don’t you dare skip that shower to go to McDonald’s! You need to get that layer of sweat off, or the chances of more pimples coming multiplies. 6) Drink lots and lots of water. H2O is a natural detoxifier that will help keep your skin healthy. And, as you drink more water, you’ll need less soda to quench your thirst, another good move for your overall health. For more acne advice that actually works, hit this site: http://diybody.com/acne/5-steps-toending-acne/. It will further arm you for your battle against acne. Remember: drink enough water, shower daily, get your sleep in a clean area, exercise, wash your face once a day and don’t touch it, and soon you’ll be well on your way to eliminating the scourge of puberty: dreaded acne. The power to limit and eliminate it is in your hands.

Hormonal Breakouts by acneguru And you thought acne was over, didn’t you? What changed? You look at your face, review the past few days and you’re sure that you’ve continued to wash your face regularly with an effective cleanser. What the heck happened? It’s called a hormonal breakout, and it can happen to just about anyone. Yes, you did wash your face. Yes, your pillow case is clean. However, there are a couple of other areas that you need to investigate to determine if this breakout came spontaneously or had a root cause. There are lots of events that can trigger hormonal breakouts, such as menstruation, pregnancy, endocrine imbalance, menopause and even ovarian disease. In other words, your hormonal breakout could be due to a completely natural process and occur completely independently of anything you did or did not do. You can’t control the intensity of your periods, you can’t stop your body from changing radically during pregnancy and there’s not much you can do about a hormonal imbalance at other stages of your life. The good news is that such outbreaks are temporary and should calm down, given time. There is, however, one cause that could be your problem, and it’s one that you can do something about: stress. Have you been getting enough sleep? Have you been treating yourself well with lots of exercise to burn off that anxiety you’re feeling about your family, work or some other personal issue? Stress could be a catalyst for the hormonal breakout that you are experiencing. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the main cause of your acne, but it can aggravate the breakout that you were due to have anyway. To treat such an outbreak, you can try over-the-counter solutions that contain effective medicines and pinpoint the pimples you have. However, adult acne can be much more difficult to combat than the standard adolescent variety. You might need to see a doctor for a prescription that could include oral contraceptives, anti-inflammatory drugs or antiandrogens, which regulate the glands that produce the oil that has accumulated on your face and combined with bacteria to produce your adult acne. Some of these treatments bring side effects, of course. Oral contraceptives can give you nausea, weight gain and breast tenderness. You need to decide if the hormonal outbreaks are frequent enough to justify these possible side effects if you use an oral contraceptive to combat them. Talk to your doctor about your choice. Anti-inflammatory drugs can also cause weight gain, and they can cause bones to thin. Again, a conversation with your doctor is in order. Anti-androgens can bring about irregular menstruation and breast tenderness, so those possibilities need to be weighed in your decision, too. None of these side effects should be surprising, given that the drugs are designed to correct hormonal imbalances that might have led to your breakout. Your body is a complex machine with all sorts of fuels that power it. Hormones rise and fall according to your different stages of life, and a rise of certain compounds in your body will produce the perfect conditions for an acne outbreak. Don’t feel guilty or negligent. It is a

natural process for many people who thought that they had bid adieu to acne many years before. Accepting that hormonal outbreaks can be almost routine for some, don’t go so far as to leave your inner life unquestioned. Are you indeed getting enough exercise to keep the monster of stress from consuming you? Are you drinking a lot of water and getting your share of fruits and vegetables, leading a generally healthy and balanced lifestyle? Again, these factors don’t cause hormonal outbreaks, but they can exacerbate them. Look inside, reflect a bit and make sure that your hormonal outbreak is purely hormonal. Try an over-the-counter solution if you don’t want to visit your doctor, but a quick chat with him/her can help you to find a treatment plan designed to effectively control your adult acne. If you suffer from any type of breakouts, you need to check this out. It’s a bunch of little known techniques that will get your skin looking clearer than ever.

Getting Rid Of Blackheads On Your Nose by acneguru A blackhead or two on your nose are no big deal, but when they start to proliferate, you need to take some action. They never seem to just come in pairs, do they? It seems as if blackheads can even take over your nose, making it look a little bit like a gross strawberry. You need help, and you are right to conclude that caring for blackheads now will mean fewer pimples that erupt in the future. Here’s some advice to get rid of blackheads on your nose. Blackheads result from the production of a fluid called sebum, which produces acne. When that sebum gets clogged in your skin’s pores, it can start as a whitehead, and then as it is exposed to air, it becomes black as it oxidizes. A blackhead, as you’ve probably figured out, is not a sign of healthy skin. It is a kind of warning signal that you have some clogged pores that need to be unclogged soon or those nasty red bumps called pimples are going to proliferate all over your nose. What causes these pores to get blocked? Well, dirt is a major culprit. So, you’ve got to be extra careful when you start putting your hands on your face for any reason. Those hands need to be super clean and bacteria free. Just taking the small extra step of cleaning your hands before touching your face can solve a lot of your problems. Now, to get rid of the blackheads that are already there, you’re going to have to open those pores wider and let them breathe a bit. One basic treatment to try is to wash with lukewarm water and then wipe your face gently with a cloth. Make sure that the cloth is dry so that the blackheads will stick to it. Be gentle, though, you don’t want to irritate your skin any further. Another way to open up the pores is to turn on a humidifier in your house, preferably near the sink where you are going to be working on your face, and let that warm steam work on your skin. Put your face near the steam but not in it. As those pores open up, it will be much easier to remove the blackheads. You can do so by squeezing ever so gently with ultra-clean hands, or you can use an unobtrusive tool, like tweezers, and remove the blackheads with all the tender care that your face deserves. You might need to work on your technique a bit to make sure that you are not bruising your nose or scratching your skin. Try to work on small areas and see how it goes. If the blackheads come out and your nose is no worse for the wear, operate on the other parts of it as well. With wide open pores, you should be able to get rid of blackheads on your nose in a far easier manner. If this step does not get you the results that you want, you can use an exfoliating product. Be careful to choose one that agrees with your skin; if you sense any undue aggravation, try a different product. These types of products will cause your skin to produce a new, smoother layer of skin and help to get rid of blackheads. They will have a nice effect on your pores and can lead to a much easier, less invasive procedure to removing the blackheads. The right exfoliating product will enable you to simply wipe your face a bit briskly to remove the blackheads on your nose. As you might imagine, there are many “cures” for acne, many pieces of advice on preventing blackheads in the first place, and tons of ideas on how to remove them as well. It can get a bit

confusing and overwhelming. A few sites can help you with both prevention and treatment. No one wants to have a nose that looks like a strawberry! Face Breakouts by acneguru That morning had to be the worst one of your young life, didn’t it? You woke up and your face looked like a pepperoni pizza, the result of a massive face breakout. You felt a hot tear run down your cheek as you tried to figure out how you would ever face your schoolmates. Maybe you could fake being sick, jump back into bed, tell your Mom to call the school and everything would be better tomorrow, wouldn’t it? Well, maybe, and maybe not. First of all, your face did not look like a pepperoni pizza. You think it did because you are your own worst critic. However, you did have a larger than usual number of pimples on your face, and now you need to do something about it. That breakout you had could have been caused for any number of reasons. Let’s think through them reasonably and that will tailor our plan of attack. For starters, it’s possible that you had several clogged pores that chose to rebel on the same day and form angry red pimples. That is mathematically possible and certainly probable if your hormones have been raging lately. One hormone push during your previous night’s sleep did not cause the breakout, but a prolonged period of oil production clogged several pores simultaneously and the bacteria that was catalyzed contributed to those too-numerous pimples on your face. Don’t despair. This too shall pass. Another possible cause of the breakout could be excessive stress in your life. Have you been stressing over a problem lately, not getting enough sleep, unable to turn your brain off at night? That stress can contribute to acne as well, and if you are in a period of top stress, you need to figure out a way to blow off some steam and resume your healthy lifestyle. Do what you can to solve your problem, leave the results to take care of themselves and set aside prolonged periods of time to get some vigorous exercise. You’ll de-stress and feel a whole lot better, and it will eventually help you to get over that breakout. So far as what can be done for the breakout in the short term, there are many steps that you can take. First of all, apply a good zit zapper to all of your problem areas. Be SURE to have your hands sparkling clean when you touch your face, even with the medicine. There are several excellent products out there that you can use. Not all of them work for everyone. Experiment a bit and find out which one kills your zits the quickest. In extreme cases, you might have to visit a dermatologist for a prescription-strength medicine. As for guarding the rest of your unblemished face from a wider breakout, practice the healthy habits for your skin that you normally would, such as washing twice a day with a gentle but effective cleanser (no bar soap or greasy lotions). Be sure to scrub gently to remove all dead skin cells, and expose yourself to steam if possible to open your pores wide and to keep them clear. You can do this by actually sitting near steam or placing a hot compress on your face for 10-15 minutes. In addition, there are many products that can be used to treat your unblemished skin to keep it that way. Apply these products so that they can work while you sleep.

The three-pronged attack will serve you well as you fight back against your face breakout and act to prevent future catastrophes: 1) reduce the amount of oil on your face by washing twice a day; 2) reduce the dead skin cells by scrubbing them away; 3) unblock your pores to keep all bacteria and dead skin out of them. These types of common sense tips can be hard to find on the Web, where miracle cures, phony diets and hyped products dominate the acne sites. Don’t trust the bloggers who make extravagant claims or promise a clear complexion overnight. It’s going to take years of careful skin care to manage or eliminate your acne. Acne affects nearly all adolescents (and some even beyond those years), but daily repetition of good habits will have a profound effect on your skin. In the case of a breakout, attack it quickly with the right medicines. See a doctor if needed. After the storm has passed, be sure that you are exercising, sleeping well, keeping stress at bay, eating lots of fruits and vegetables, washing your face and other accepted action steps. For more ammunition in your war on acne, use these free lessons. They’re loaded with sound advice on winning the battle against acne. After a quick counterattack against that breakout, you’ll be on the path to a more clear and healthy face.

Deep Blackheads by acneguru Blackheads are usually fairly easy to dispose of if you attack them in the proper way. You know the standard advice: put a warm washcloth on your face to soften the skin, then squeeze ever so gently on the affected pores and push the blackheads out of their hiding places. You can put tissue on the ends of your fingers to insure the cleanliness of the procedure, or you can use a special device to pull the hardened oils out. However, some people’s skin has two features that can render the standard approach obsolete: wide open pores and very deep pores, which can lead to deep blackheads. The Internet is filled with stories of people battling these deep blackheads. Some despair for the lack of a solution. Others report substantial advances in their campaign against the troublesome blemishes. If your skin is special and has provided a home for deep blackheads for too long, you should consider a couple of different ideas for your treatment plan. Let’s call them the big guns to get rid of deep blackheads. Some people have found help for deep blackheads by using a pore suctioning machine, which can be purchased at your local drug store. Many people who use these devices start with a facial sauna for 10-15 minutes to soften their skin, then use the suctioning machine to extract the blackheads. They follow this up with a toner to close their pores immediately after using the suctioning device, which is battery-powered and looks like a shaver with a suction cup at the end. Once the device is turned on, a tiny vacuum sucks the dirt and blackheads out of your amply opened pores. Fans of the machines report outstanding progress in their fight against deep blackheads. They report especially good results as the suction devices are used repeatedly. One use of the machine does not extract all blackheads, but frequent usage does handle the vast majority of the blemishes in a satisfactory way. Other sufferers opt for facial masks that can be effective in drawing out blackheads and treating skin in a way that prevents future invasions. One side effect of many of these masks is that certain parts of the skin can become overly dry. You might need to apply a bit of moisturizer to those sections, but the possible outstanding results on the affected pores should make this small extra step worth it to you. Still other people with larger and deeper pores than normal need to visit their doctors and get a prescription that will vastly reduce the amount of oils that their glands are producing. Often, people who suffer from problem acne and deep blackheads are dealing with a problem that has arisen through no fault of their own. They were born with skin that easily lends itself to acne, sometimes persistent acne, and despite their best efforts at keeping their faces clean and their spirits calm, they fight a losing battle. These types of people need to shelve any guilt and shame that they might feel and see a professional who can prescribe both oral drugs and skin treatments that will solve their problems once and for all. In the crusade against deep blackheads, you might need a combination of the big guns. It is possible that you will find a combination of prescription medicine, facial masks and compact suctioning devices to do the trick. Be sure to consult your doctor as you formulate your plan. Before your visit to him/her, you can also find some websites that offer helpful advice about

the overall battle with acne, with diet and exercise tips combined with helpful insights on skin care. These sites might also provide you with ideas on bringing out the big guns against deep blackheads. This site in particular has proven noteworthy for its straightforward, honest and practical approach to skin care. Deep blackheads don’t have to remain undisturbed on your face. To combat a serious problem, you will need to invoke serious measures. A step beyond the standard “squeeze gently” approach could be the remedy you need to rid your pores of unwelcome oil buildup.

Cystic Pimples by acneguru Acne is bad enough, but a cystic pimple takes this demoralizing skin condition a step further. Cystic acne occurs when layers of skin underneath your outmost layer gets irritated because of any number of causes, from bacteria to ingrown hairs to other origins. That is why the most common areas of cystic acne are the chest, back, underarm, shoulder and upper arms. However, perhaps you’ve made the discouraging discovery that cystic acne can even attack the face, producing an especially troublesome bump that cannot be treated like other pimples. Unlike standard acne, cystic acne does not have a cap in the form of a white head and thus you end up with a big bump and no suitable plan of attack. You would be very unwise to pop this painful bump because the pus inside will simply run on your skin and spread, perhaps recreating itself into even a larger and more infected bump, making your problem worse. It’s all of that pus that is creating the problem, but you can’t get too mad at your body—it’s just reacting to the bacteria, creating an inflamed bump that is quite tender, as you know. The next few days with that cystic pimple are going to be tough; they’re tough to hide, tough to explain and they take a few days to get rid of. Hang in there. The right treatment will enable you to get rid of even those angry bumps on your face or elsewhere. However, with a cystic pimple, taking the right course of action is even more important because these pimples can get really infected. I wish I could help you with the explanation for the big, red lump. You could say that your body is simply reacting to an infection, which would be entirely accurate and doesn’t make you look or sound like you’ve been negligent with your skin care. To treat that cystic pimple, let’s first consider some of the possible causes: 1) use of a harsh soap can encourage cyst formations, so you might want to change your brand of soap as a first step; 2) use of certain anti-acne treatments can aggravate a cystic pimple, so that might be another substance that you want to switch; 3) lack of clean hands when applying an acne treatment can also cause a cystic pimple, so ALWAYS be sure to have bacteria-free hands when you doctor up your face; 4) in what might be a surprise to you, even your diet can contribute to cystic acne. A lack of fruit and vegetables and vitamin A in general can make exacerbate cystic acne. The anti-oxidants in vitamin A help to suppress chemicals that can harm your skin. Look for foods high in vitamin A to begin to solve your problem; 5) you might have suspected this, and you were right: stress can cause cystic acne. You’re going to have to change something in your lifestyle to get that stress under control. Reduce your workload somehow, take a look at your demanding schedule and figure out where you can get relief, say “No” to a few requests for your time, get help from a close friend or two. Whatever you do, ramp down the stress. Your face will thank you. Now, to take care of that cystic pimple, many remedies have been proposed. Among them are baths with Epson salts, or putting chamomile in your bath water. Both of these will soften the skin and also help you to de-stress. The Web proliferates with miracle cures, but you need a game plan that is a bit more tried and true. This site has five simple steps to combat even the most troublesome acne, including cystic acne. In conclusion, don’t feel too badly about that flaming bump. It’s probably not your fault and it happens to the best of us. Don’t beat yourself up; rather, go a bit easier on yourself, make a

Clearing Blackheads by acneguru Perhaps you’ve already tried to get rid of those unsightly blackheads on your face. What you’ve discovered is that when you force the issue, you can bruise your face, leave surface cuts from your prying fingernails or drive the blackhead further into your skin. None of these results are desirable; you need a little help in caring for this skin problem. You’ve probably heard the saying that “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” In the case of blackheads, that is certainly true. If you have numerous blackheads on your face, you might want to consider some of these tips: * Avoid creamy, greasy products to wash your face. They often only contribute to blocking your pores, which cause blackheads in the first place. * Don’t use bar soap either. The ingredients that hold a bar of soap together can also clog your pores. * Try a gentle, water-soluble cleanser. Do a little research and find out which brands have the best reputation for leaving pores unclogged. Be careful of the cleansers that have moisturizer in them. Such ingredients can contribute to clogging pores as well. * Scrub gently to remove all dead skin cells on your face. There are many more there than you realize and you need to get rid of them. * You might want to try a mask in this process to take care of the dead skin cells and open your pores anew. * If normal, regular washing with a good cleanser does not help your problem and your acne refuses to go away or decrease, visit a dermatologist for more powerful help. Now, regarding the blackheads that are already on your face, let’s move to the cure now that we have discussed prevention a bit. You need to get rid of these blackheads because they can soon get invaded by bacteria and erupt into pimples. Pimples are simply aggravated pores and usually are the next step after a blackhead. In order to get that blackhead, which you will see is more than just a speck of black (it is actually a longer bit of hardened oil that has turned black on its very tip as it is exposed to air), many people elect to gently squeeze them out of the pores. To do so, you need to be very gentle and touch your face only with very clean hands. You might want to use a sterilized instrument as well. You should start with using a mild scrub or exfoliant to get rid of all of the dead skin cells that might be covering your blackheads. Then, pat your face dry and put a warm compress on it for about 10-15 minutes to soften the blackhead(s) and make them easier to remove. Once you pat your face dry again, you can try to push down, then up around the blackhead to remove it, applying pressure underneath it. Some people place tissue on the ends of their fingers to avoid slippage and tearing the skin.

If the blackhead does not cooperate and exit after one or two tries, leave it alone. Some attach within your skin more vigorously than others. You need to leave it alone and re-try a day or two later. If you persist, you risk bruising your face and leaving red marks where your fingers and/or nails have refused to give up. As hard as it is to declare a surrender, you need to do so and live to fight another day. As you maintain healthy habits that include regular washing of your skin (especially after heavy perspiration), scrubbing to remove dead skin cells, drinking lots of water and managing stress through exercise and lots of sleep, your blackhead problem should decrease significantly. As you continue to troll the Net for help with your complexion, be careful to weigh the many differing points of advice out there. Sometimes, the best advice is that which is simplest and makes the most sense. It also can be the advice that calls on you to take preventative action, even if you are looking for a miracle cure. This is a really good way to get your skin as clear as possible. Click on there and get some pointers on facial care and taking care of your acne problem. Once you get your blackheads out in a gentle manner, you’ll want to take even better care of your face to prevent their unwanted return.

Acne No More Review by acneguru If you’re on this page you’ve probably heard of Acne No More, a system that supposedly teaches you to cure your acne naturally. Is Acne No More A Scam? This is the question I think everyone asks themselves after hearing about this program, just as I did. 1) Don’t believe the testimonials on the Acne No More website! 2) Don’t beleive other so-called ‘Acne No More Reviews’ See, the problem is that you can never truly tell if testimonials are real or not. Anyone can make up some fake testimonials to try and push you into ordering. And yes, tons of people order stuff based on testimonials alone. Also, the thing with these so called “Acne No More Reviews” is that’s all they’re really doing – reviewing the product. They’re just basically explaining to you what acne is, who’s most likely to be affected by it, etc. Have they actually tried Acne No More for themselves? Nope. Chances are you’ve found this site by searching for Acne No More, acne no more scam, or acne no more review on a search engine. And the chances are that you’re looking for honest answers, the truth and clarification. I’m going to give it to you whether you’re ready to hear the truth or not. Read on to find out more about my shocking experience with Acne No More. This is my story… I’m a 19 year old female. I’m sure you all know that teenagers have problems with acne, but I’m just a little too old to be dealing with that. I thought I would kind of grow out of it (at least a little) in my late teens. I never thought I would be around the corner from my 20th birthday still worrying about my face full of zits. Still worrying about how bumpy it will look in certain types of light and how red the big, pus filled ones look against my fair skin. I hate to think of my acne, but I really and truly can’t stop. It not only causes me a lot of stress to think about how I look… it also affects my self esteem, which I’m sure you’ll find understandable. After all, how good can you feel about yourself when you have glaringly obvious lesions on your face (and yeah, I had them on my chest, back and shoulders too)? And yes, they’re totally obvious. If I notice acne on other people I’m sure people notice it on me. In fact, I’m 110% sure that other people notice it on me because sometimes they even say it out loud! I remember back in 8th grade this guy called me a zit face after a small argument we were having. It’s bad enough that I had to hear it, but what made it especially horrible was that he said it in class and at least 3 of my friends heard him say that to me. Needless to say, I had to fight back my tears and pretended not to hear him anymore.

Another really embarassing moment was meeting my dad’s girlfriend for the first time. I was with my sister and my boyfriend. She hugged us excitedly and then stepped back, looked at me and loudly proclaimed that I had “so many pimples”. She went on with a big “Oh my gosh… I’m going to get you some of this really good soap to get rid of those pimples.” I felt like I had been punched in the stomach – people are usually a bit more polite about my face and I kind of expected her to be the same way. Still, I had to give her a polite smile and give her a weak “thanks”. She is from another country and I guess they’re not afraid to just say what they’re thinking over there…? Even thought acne had made almost half of my life a living hell, I was just thankful that I didn’t have cystic acne on a consistent basis (the worse type of acne). I did get huge, cyst type breakouts a few times a month, but I remember seeing other kids at high school who’s faces seemed to be covered by it every day of the week. Anyway, back to my story. I had been to the dermatologist many times. They put me on all kinds of medications throughout my teenage years. I would usually see a small improvement at first, but after a couple months my acne would get worse again. I figured I would have to try a new pill or gel at least 4 times a year if I wanted even remotely decent skin (not nice by any means, just not as scary as it usually was). After years and years of putting up with this I just burned out. I was so sick of looking in the mirror. I was so sick of caking makeup on my face every time I wanted to leave the house. I was so sick of the endless visits to the dermatologist who never could really give me a solution that actually worked. I decided to look for some real stories from real acne sufferers online. I looked high and low at all kinds of skin tips and acne home remedies. I tried most of them and while lots of them showed some improvement, none really got rid of my acne or blackheads. They got slightly better, but I was still covered in zits! After some months of researching and experimenting with natural remedies to cure acne, I ran across Acne No More. Naturally, I thought it looked too good to be true based on my experiences trying to cure my own acne. But if you’ve ever been desperate you know how it is. You’ll try pretty much anything to get rid of a big problem. I’m a little ashamed to admit this, but I even smeared urine on my face to try and get rid of it because I read about the miracles that urine therapy can do (although it didn’t do squat for me and I felt so stupid!) I did purchase the Acne No More system, but I didn’t ever get around to trying it. I ran into another method and it was working for me so I gave it a try. It was a totally different approach and I’m actually surprised it worked. A couple months into this routine is when I really seen the results. Yeah – my acne took MONTHS to go away. It really doesn’t happen overnight (well not in my experience anyway). The changes in my skin happened gradually. I think the first thing that happened was, like I mentioned above, my skin not going crazy during my period, stressful times, etc. The second phase was that my oil production seemed

to slow down. This part happened pretty quickly – and it was a damn pleasant surprise LOL. The third phase my skin went through was the slowest one. This is when my acne started clearing up and there was much less new breakouts. It was a very gradual change and it drove me crazy that there was still pimples cropping up, but at the same time I was excited that they were finally slowing down and I could actually look in the mirror without feeling depressed. Anyway, my skin still looks good to this day. I’m pretty sure I finally found a system that works for my skin and body. Thank heavens! I feel much better about myself and now I’m comfortable doing things outside of the house, being seen, even smiling at cute boys in the mall! I’m glad I got rid of my problem – it made all the difference in the world. In conclusion, Acne No More might work for you, but what I really discovered from this journey is that you have to test it out for yourself. Everyone’s chemistry is different, so some of you will find that different methods work differently on all of you. UPDATE: Some of you have been asking what routine I used that worked for me. It’s found here so you can go check it out if you want.

Chest Acne – Here’s What To Do by acneguru Chest acne affects us differently than acne on the face, doesn’t it? It’s not better or worse, just really different. On the good side, people don’t see it as often or as noticeably as the acne on our face, in most cases. On the other hand, chest acne is rare enough that when we do have it and it is in view, people’s eyes go right for it! Furthermore, the message you feel like you’re sending when you have chest acne is, “I’m REALLY unhygienic. I’ve even got pimples on my chest! I never wash.” Of course, that’s not true. Your pores on your chest can produce acne as easy (or more easily) than the pores on your face. And what’s more, it can be harder to get rid of because the skin on your chest is thicker than the skin on your face. Chest acne is more common than you might think. It strikes people who perspires a lot, for instance, people who like to work out or play a sport or two. That heavy sweating, combine with blocked pores, can mean chest acne. So, in a way, a person can be almost punished for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, which is kind of ironic. Don’t despair. There is justice in the world. There is help for chest acne. Here are eight tips to wipe out those pimples on your chest: 1) Try to wear only cotton tops, the fabric that breathes best. This will cut down on the perspiration that can cling to your chest, which might be a reason for your chest acne. 2) In conjunction with this first point, try to avoid tight clothing or heavy backpacks that can irritate your skin and your pimples. Go easy on your chest and treat it with care as you seek healing of the acne. 3) You also need to make sure that you wash the affected areas a couple of times a day, even if that is not your habit. Wash especially after a time of heavy perspiration. Don’t skip that shower to run off and do something else after the game. Wash immediately and get rid of that layer of sweat you brought on (which was worth it considering you won the game). 4) As you wash, go the extra mile by using a scrubbing sponge in a gentle manner. Scrubbing harder will not get rid of your acne in a more effective or more speedy manner. You’ll simply tear up your skin and increase its irritation and/or inflammation. Using a sponge will help you to scrape away dead skin cells, which can accumulate rapidly on your chest. 5) Use a body cleanser as you wash that is specifically designed to fight acne. Plain old soap and water might not do the trick, especially on a stubborn area like your chest. Break out the big guns, spend a few bucks and find a reliable cleanser that will target your acne. 6) Despite what any given cream or lotion claims, try to avoid putting them on your chest as you combat acne. They will only block your pores and slow the healing process. 7) Be sure to keep your bed linens clean, especially in the hotter months when you might tend to sleep in the raw from the waist up. This can be a hidden contributor to chest acne. Again, you might need to change your habits. You might not be accustomed to washing your

linens each week, but you’re going to need to in order to win this battle. Buy a second or third set of linens so that you don’t have to wash the one set you have and wait for it to dry. Linens are not prohibitively expensive. Keep them clean and rotate them often. And, by linens, I also mean pillow cases. 8) Many people find a clay-based mask to be effective in getting rid of chest acne. Such masks are available for the body, not just the face. Try one out and see how it does. For the best advice on treating chest acne and other forms of acne, talk to your doctor or go see a dermatologist. In the short run, there is also a lot of sound medical advice on the Web. One site that has helped many people and has been lauded for its simplicity and common sense approach is: http://diybody.com/acne/5-steps-to-ending-acne/. This site could be all that you need to begin to win the war on acne. Combined with the eight tips above, you should be able to control and/or eliminate your chest acne once and for all. Then, you’ll be able to show off that nice chest you’ve worked so hard to create. Just be sure to shower immediately after your next workout!

Acne Diet – Does It Work by acneguru Let’s cut the crap and shoot straight about acne, and then let’s discuss whether or not there is actually a diet plan that can help you to fight it. First of all, acne is a fairly normal problem for people in the years of life when their bodies are changing, namely during puberty. Sure, you have a few lucky classmates that do not have a blemish on their skin. Don’t hate them for it. They just got a nice genetic draw and it is actually possible that their bodies are maturing late. They might get hit by acne during college years or later. So, point one is that most of your peers are battling acne, with varying success, and you will most likely grow out of it in a few years. You see, acne results when glands in your body on the inner dermis part of your skin secrete wax and oil in excessive amounts, along with another chemical that binds with these oils and blocks your pores. As those pores get blocked, the oils do more than simply lubricate your skin, which is a must. They actually get inflamed as bacteria (which lives in small amounts on many parts of our skin) begin to multiply due to high amounts of oil and other compounds, combined with blocked pores. The next thing you know, you have a zit! Again, this is quite normal during adolescence (and a bit beyond for the late bloomers) as your body transforms from child to adult and gets supercharged with lots of hormones that produce large amounts of oil that can aggravate bacteria. I repeat: acne is fairly normal; almost everyone battles it at one time or another. That said, there are certain steps that you can take to fight it. You don’t have to just walk around with pimples all over the place and accept your fate, chalking it up to bad genes. Yeah, try blaming your mother for that, see how that goes over! Remember those blocked pores and nasty bacteria, two of the roots of the problem? You can do a lot to solve those two issues by washing regularly with a good cleanser, by NEVER touching your face with dirty hands, by exposing yourself to steam or something else that will open your pores for a time, by consistent hygiene that keeps your skin super clean. You’ll need to be more vigilant during your teen years, not less. You need to set aside some time each day to take care of your face because it will be under assault for a few years. Now, can the stuff you wash down your gullet actually worsen or decrease your acne? The answer is “Yes” and “No.” Despite what you’ve heard about chocolate and cola and any number of culprits, no foods directly cause acne. However, some foods can aggravate acne, and the lack of some foods and beverages can handicap you in your battle against it. For instance, your liver plays a key role in getting rid of the toxins in your body, which are somewhat related to acne. In order to keep your liver clean and working well, you need to drink lots and lots of water. If you’ve ever heard that drinking a lot of water will help you to fight acne, it is true. It’s good for your liver and is cheaper than soda and a whole lot better for your body. Skip the soda and drink more water.

Now, for foods that can aggravate acne, the list varies from person to person. Among the suspects identified by some are: foods rich in sugars, bread, cheese, chocolate, nuts, dairy products and even vegetable oil. You don’t need to boycott all of these, but the foods on this list have been known to aggravate more than one tummy, which leads to an imbalance that can exacerbate your acne. Pay close attention to your body and see what agrees with it and what does not. For foods that are a help to combating acne, go no further than fresh fruits and vegetables, which are loaded with the vitamins that will keep your body healthy and regular. The Internet is loaded with lots of claims and half-truths about a magical acne diet. One site that cuts through the muddle is loaded with sound, common sense that can help you to manage your acne during the years when it will challenge your resolve. Check it out here: http://diybody.com/acne/5-steps-to-ending-acne/. Acne is fairly normal, but it doesn’t have to ruin your life. Get some good advice, follow it, eat right and keep your acne issues to a minimum.
