Nail A rtistry The Nail Art Display category is one of the most visually intricate and detailed competitions, allowing students free rein for their creativity to take over. With a minimum of ten nail tips to utilize, the artistic inspirations for the themes and styles of the nails are virtually endless. The competitors will have one hour to build, paint, glue, and design their unique and incredibly meticulous nail art displays. Judging for the event is often carefully scrutinized as each nail design and overall theme is particularly analyzed.

Female Trend Cut & Style with colo r Avant-garde, chic and alternative trends are just a few of the words to describe the Female Trend Cut and Style with Color competition. The artistic side of the student takes over during this multi-faceted event where every type of style is altered to become a uniquely designed creation. Competitors have just one hour to perfect the cutting, coloring and styling of their mannequins. No additional hair accompaniments, extensions, colors or pre-cuts are allowed. Every cut, placement and angle is carefully scrutinized and tailored as the students have practiced their precision cuts and colors for weeks.

2012 Future Professionals o f the year Empire Education Group, in efforts to encourage and reward those Future Professional Stylists who excel during their enrollment at the school, annually bestows the National Future Professional of the Year Award to one Empire Education Group student. Like diamonds in the rough, every year a select few of these Future Professional Stylists go the distance inside and outside of the classroom. Some overcame great obstacles but find the courage and tools to succeed, while others exhibit the professional characteristics, skills and academics signifying their desire to achieve their dreams in cosmetology.
