Chapter 1 Although the phrase “digital nomad” is becoming more and more common in modern society, many nations and cultures continue to have misconceptions about it. In general, digital nomads work while traveling, which is the ideal lifestyle for those who are adventure-hungry.
They take advantage of advancements in modern technology, the impact of COVID-19 and the resultant ease of working remotely. For most digital nomads, all that is required is a reliable internet connection.
4
Although this sounds as easy as one, two, three, we’ll see later in the article that it isn’t all smooth sailing as there are often challenges encountered along the way.
DIGITAL NOMAD
STATISTICS In this guide we’ll explore what life as a digital nomad is like and look at some of the most popular statistics that pertain to this lifestyle comprising of 35,000,000 individuals a surprise. Let’s dive in!
5
Digital nomad statistics Age The current (as it stands in 2022) average age of all digital nomads is 40 years of age. This is slightly higher than the average age of digital nomads in the USA in 2021 where that average stood at 32 years of age. However, individuals in their 30s make up almost half of all digital nomads worldwide, sitting at 47%. A staggering 61% of all digital nomads started their journey in their 20s, while the remaining percentage were all over the age of 30 before embarking on their journey of locational independence. According to studies, the oldest digital nomad to be actively pursuing this lifestyle is 72 years of age!
6
Gender The split between male and female digital nomads worldwide is an almost identical one. Males make up the majority at 50.19% and females make up the minority (only just) at 49.81% – pretty close!
Main Male Occupation The main occupations of male digital nomads as of 2022 fall within the digital field. Such jobs include marketing, IT/development and digital design.
Main Female Occupation When it comes to females, however, the most popular occupations as of 2022 fall within the creative or marketing fields. This includes creative jobs include digital design, writing and animation.
Marriage Status Digital nomad relationships are by no means an easy feat. Everything is done together! You work together, you travel together, you eat together, you sleep together. This can often mean that relationships move along much faster than in a normal work environment. For this reason, we observe that the majority of digital nomads are married and of this majority, most partners are either travelling with them full-time or parttime. Many digital nomad couples also meet along the way on their travels, and we often find that plans may change after meeting that special someone in a faraway land.
7
Digital nomad statistics Countries Granting Digital Nomad Visas While it is illegal to work in a foreign country, even from the comfort of your hotel (or the beach) using your laptop, things are finally starting to change as countries are opening up to the idea of specialist Digital Nomad Visas. Aside from these, we are also noticing a rise in other forms of visas such as Remote Work Visas and Freelancer Visas. Some of the more favorable countries currently offering Digital Nomad Visas include: • • • • • • • • • • • •
Antigua and Barbuda Bali Croatia Czech Republic Costa Rica The UAE – Dubai Germany Iceland Turkey Thailand Portugal Mexico
Most Popular Cities Given the above most popular countries for digital nomads above, the most popular cities for digital nomads naturally fall within the borders of these countries: • Playa Del Carmen in Mexico • Chiang Mai and Koh Lanta in Thailand • Canggu and Ubud in Bali, Indonesia • Zagreb, Split in Croatia • Medellin in Colombia • Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hoi An in Vietnam
8
Kids On the contrary to travelling with partners, most couples don’t travel with children, although a small number do. A very small percentage of digital nomad couples travel with younger children (under the age of 18), although it is not uncommon for couples to start families and have children whilst travelling or remote working in a foreign country.
A few other notable locations around the world are Taipei, Montpellier, Ko Pha Ngan, Buenos Aires and Istanbul. It’s really no wonder why people choose to live in these beautiful cities!
9
Digital nomad statistics Favourite Places to Work A number of factors apply when looking at the best places to work for digital nomads, fast reliable internet being the most important. However, noise levels are also of the utmost importance. Preferred conditions are either quiet environments such as libraries or environments where there is limited background noise such as a café/restaurant or a co-working space. However, the most popular place for digital nomads to work is in the comfort of their accommodation. However, having said that, it is of the utmost importance to take regular breaks and get out to socialize for the benefit of one’s mental health! It’s all about balance, after all.
Dating Dating is a big factor when on the road and it isn’t always easy as there can be large cultural differences from one’s home country. Brazil came out on top when it came to the overall best country for dating as a digital nomad. London was the best city and Latin America and Western Europe the best regions. Consider these places when choosing your next destination!
10
Struggles and Pain Points It’s not all fun and games for digital nomads. While the lifestyle offers incredible opportunities, it can also be very lonely at times as you are often away from friends and family for long periods of time. This can lead to mental health issues as one can be quite isolated, especially when deadlines loom and many hours are spent behind the laptop. Other issues include, but are not limited to: • • • • • •
Maintaining existing client/customer relationships Finding new clients/customers Tax issues Medical insurance Common consumables not available Travel fatigue
These difficulties are, by no means, reason enough to avoid becoming a digital nomad. However, it’s always a good idea to be aware of the reality of the lifestyle and the good and the bad things that go along with it.
11
Digital nomad statistics Cost of the Digital Nomad Lifestyle There are many ways to skin a cat, and this applies to the cost of digital nomad lifestyle too. One can live a lavish lifestyle and not save a cent or travel at all. Alternatively, one can live thriftily and save a vast sum of money and travel the world extensively.
At the end of the day, it’s all down to what you want to get out of being a digital nomad. On average, the digital nomad lifestyle will cost you around 1793 EUR per month, so take this into account when planning your next destination.
Productivity Levels The digital nomad lifestyle can be quite disruptive, especially if one is constantly traveling around and not settling in a particular location. However, if one does find a base for an extended period of time, it has been proven that productivity can actually increase. The majority of business owners agree that productivity is not negatively affected by being location
Earning potential Digital nomads are able to earn quite well compared to average working-class .The average digital nomad makes 114.171 EUR a year. It some instances, this is almost double the average salary, making it increasingly attractive. This is largely due to not having large expenses such a mortgage, car repayments or student loans.
12
Impact of COVID-19 The digital nomad lifestyle has been around for many years but the COVID-19 pandemic saw a massive increase in the worldwide number of digital nomads. This was largely due to more freedom and greater flexibility within the workplace, higher salaries and the ability to carry out your job from anywhere.
Ethnicity According to Digital Nomad statistics, the spilt of digital nomads by ethnic demographic are as follows: • • • •
Caucasian decent (White/European) – 76% Latino/Hispanic – 10% Asian – 8% Non-Caucasian (Black/African) – 6%

Changing Times and Economic Opportunities As the digital nomad movement grows, so too are countries adapting to this so-called “new normal”. Many countries have got onboard and have created specialized Digital Nomad Visas, while others have made their communities more digital nomad friendly.
Travel While Working While the majority of Digital Nomads prefer staying in the same location for anywhere between three and nine months, this does not mean that travel is off the cards. International travel is often difficult with having to adapt to different time zones, but regional travel is welcomed. Often, shorter stays entail more travel and leisure whilst longer stays are generally geared up to work-specific trips. Often, shorter stays entail more travel and leisure whilst longer stays are generally geared up to work-specific trips.
Digital nomads spend money on both local goods and services, thus contributing to local economies and adding to the GDP of that given country. With an estimated $787 billion spent by digital nomads each year, it is a huge economic opportunity for countries to tap into.
Planned Time on the Road Once again, this comes down to personal preference. Many decide to embrace the digital nomad lifestyle fully and carry on with it indefinitely. Others decide to do it for shorter periods of time. Whatever your intention is, you can customize the digital nomad lifestyle to fit your needs!

Saving Potential
Future Trends
An attractive advantage of being a digital nomad who loves to travel is that one can work and earn in a strong currency and then travel to countries with a weaker currency, allowing one to save. It is also always recommended to do as the locals do – eat local food, shop at local stores. Western items mean western prices!
With the world opening up more and more now due to the slowing down of the spread of COVID-19, the outlook for the future of digital nomads is exciting. More and more companies are now being open to remote work, countries are becoming more invested in it and the daily digital numbers are on the rise. This upward trajectory is expected to continue to rise as more people seek out the advantages of location independent work.
Future Planning When planning your future digital nomad adventure, there a few things to consider always. At the top of the list is fast, reliable internet! You also want to be comfortable where you are staying – a warm, homely environment where your productivity levels can soar.

Petrovaradin Fortress
One of the biggest, most intricate, and well-preserved
strongholds in all of Europe. The “Gibraltar on the Danube” known as Petrovaradin Fortress was constructed between 1692 and 1780 and was never conquered. Upper and Lower Town (Podgrađe) are located within the fortification. A clock tower that has a large hand for hours and a little hand for minutes stands out in the Upper Town. The Petrovaradin Fortress’s underground military tunnels are a four-story communication and defense network that is roughly 16 kilometers long and a singular tourist destination. Visitors can access the corridors with the assistance of knowledgeable guides from the City Museum of Novi Sad.
24
Sremski Karlovci Meet the famous town Sremski Karlovci, admire its baroque architecture, which are significant places for Serbia’s history, culture, and national heritage. Sremski Karlovci is a town full of temptations. You should know how to resist the honey of Sremski Karlovci and more than that, how to resist world-famous wine - bermet, it has a unique taste as a result of even twenty different herbs and spices.

Imperial Swamp Carska Bara
C arska Bara, located in the municipality of Zrenjanin, is Serbia’s
largest individual bog. Banat is a province of Vojvodina. The reserve is made up of a variety of wetland ecosystems, including lakes, swamps, meadows, and forests. It forms the Special nature reserve with the neighboring pond of Stari Begej-the old arm of the Begej river. Bara Carska Wetlands are made up of many smaller bodies of water such as rivers, canals, lakes, and ponds. It is known for its cotor diversity and is covered in reed beds, willow thickets, and rushes. The central lake section is known for its clear, blue water, while the surrounding salt marshes have white and yellow waters sur-
26
rounded by green woods. Carska Bara is best known for its abundant birdlife, with the first ornithological exploration taking place in the late nineteenth century. In the area, 240 bird species have been identified. There are thriving heron (grey heron, little egret) and cormorant colonies, including pygmy commorant, as well as buzzards, Eurasian sparrow-hawks, common spoonbills, western marsh harrier, Montagu’s harrier, red breasted goose, osprey, graylag goose, stork, and woodcock, among other species. Some of the 110 species of birds are migratory. Herons are thought to be the most important to the ecosystem.
Palić Lake M eet the well-known Lake Palic, as well as the settlement of the
same name, is located near Subotica and the Horgos border crossing in Hungary. It has a tourist tradition dating back nearly 150 years. Its distinct atmosphere makes it ideal for leisure and relaxation. The lake is Serbia’s largest wind-blown lake. In 1881, the Vermes brothers organized a sports competition in Palic that was similar to the old Greek Olympic Games. Palic then becomes a well-known sports center at the end of the nineteenth century. The Great Park was designed in 1842 to look like an English garden. The water tower, the Great Terrace,
the Summer Stage, the concert pavilion, and a zoo are all located in the park, which is set in a beautiful botanic garden. It is 8 kilometers from Subotica. The lake is a summer destination with a pleasant climate and 2,100 sunny hours per year. The Lake is elliptical in shape, with a 17-kilometer-long shoreline. The water is about 2 meters deep on average. We recommend a one-day sightseeing tour if you want to explore this part of Vojvodina. You will visit Dunjdjerski Castle, Zvonko Bogdan Winery, Subotica, and Pali, where you will sample traditional Vojvodina cuisine in one of the farms.

The mountain is densely forested, with hundred-year-old oak and birch trees, as well as the linden, a tree revered by the Slavic people. The mountain, with its highest peak, Crveni ot 539 m (Red Cot), and much of its surroundings are part of a national park that spans 25.000 ha. Nature reserve Zasavica The Zasavica special na-
ture reserve is just a few kilometers across the Sava river from the town of Sremska Mitrovica. Zasavica is a protected wetland comprised of meadows, canals, creeks, and the Zasavica River itself. The area was first designated as protected in 1997. Over 600 plant species have been identified in the reservation.
30
The reserve is home to 185 bird species, 120 of which are resident. Zasavica is listed as an IBA because of its large number of birds, which includes rare species such as night heroin and spotted crake (important bird areas). Another feature that distinguishes Zasavica is the presence of the largest donkey farm in Eastern Europe. Zasavica donkey cheese is one of the world’s five most expensive dishes.
The Vršac wine route The Vršac wine route is also located in this part of the country, so the locals won’t let you leave without trying a glass of this ambrosia from the Banat vineyards. And if you find yourself here in the third weekend of September, don’t miss the “Dani Berbe” (eng. Harvest days), an event at which you can try the best wines of this region

Nature reserve Deliblato sands Deliblato sands, one of Europe’s last deserts, stretches over 300 square kilometers and was formed by the wind that brought the sand. If you visit Deliblato Sands, you will be walking across Europe’s last desert. Those who dare will go wolf hunting, while others will enjoy the beautiful nature and nearly picture-perfect landscapes of Africa in the heart of Europe. Deliblato sands, the unique phenomenon in this corner of the world - “the European Sahara,” as it’s popularly known - is a mustsee! It was created by the wind’s creative power, which brought sand and created the desert-like relief. The rest was taken care of by the endless Pannonian plain.
32
What is the best way to get to the Deliblato sands? Deliblato Sands is 100 kilometers from Belgrade and is best reached via the Panevo-Kovin-Bela Crkva road. Buses run frequently from the Belgrade bus station to Bela Crkva. The most direct route from central Serbia to this region is via the Smederevo bridge and the Deliblato sands. If you’re coming from Vojvodina, take the Vrac overpass to Bela Crkva.
-IJADA
FOOD OLYMPIC GAMES THROUGH VOJVODINA From Turiija’s Sausage Fest (kobasicijada), Kačarevos Bacon Fest (slaniniada), through Vršac’s Wine Fest (grozđebal), Kovilj’s Brandy Fair (rakijada), all the way to Karlovac’s kuglof (Kugelhupf) and Kikinda’s ludaja (pumpkin), there are a handful of events in Vojvodina that, in addition to promotion, can bring significant financial benefits to the communities where they are held. In recent years, Vojvodina’s “ijadas” have experienced a real expansion, so there is almost no place in the province that does not have its own event promoting local products. With around 1,200 events held annually in the province, it could be said that Vojvodina has excellent tourism potential and a significant economic opportunity. By visiting such events, you will have the opportunity to taste the most delicious local products on the
spot, as well as to feel the spirit of living in small Vojvodina villages. Eat, breathe, feel Vojvodina.

NOVI SAD European Capital of Culture 2022

Novi Sad - Facts
N ovi Sad is a city on the Danube in northern Serbia, south of the Pannonian flatland. For three centuries, namely as long as it has been known as Novi Sad / Újvidék/ Neusatz, the city has served as a repository for the diverse and rich cultural heritage of the many nations that call it home. Material and intangible cultural heritage created over centuries serves as the foundation for an interactive network of scientific and cultural institutions, making Novi Sad today a space of active meeting of cultures and diverse identities. Novi Sad was named European Capital of Culture 2021 and European Youth Capital 2019 in recognition of the creative energy embodied by youth groups and organizations that have contributed to an already identifiable traditional cultural platform. Novi Sad is a city of museums, galleries, and events, the most well-known of which is the EXIT Music Festival, which has received international acclaim and recognition. Novi Sad, with its urban core and rural surroundings, offers visitors an agenda packed with incredible content. Picnic areas, preserved eco-systems, and the complex of Serbian Orthodox monasteries are located in the vicinity of an urban city core characterized by baroque, neo-renaissance, classicistic, and Bauhaus buildings. The “Salaš” farmsteads, “čarda” taverns, and wine trails on the outskirts of Novi Sad allow visitors to experience the richness of gastronomy and rural traditions. Novi Sad, as a Danube city, a city of European history and tradition, as well as the Balkans’ endemic hospitality, is an experience you have been missing.
38
The old city core of Novi Sad is comprised of the urban areas of Liberty Square, Zmaj Jovina, and Dunavska (Danube) Street. The Liberty Square is dominated by City Hall and the Roman Catholic Church of the Name of Mary. The City Hall is a massive Neo-Renaissance structure built in 1894, while the Roman Catholic Parish Church of the Name of Mary was built in Neo-Gothic style between 1893 and 1895. The Liberty Square also houses the following structures: Hotel Vojvodina (1854), Vojvodjanska Banka (1892), and the Roman Catholic Parish Office (1808), Serbian Orthodox Church of the Holy Mother’s Assumption (1776), and the Synagogue (1909) are all in Novi Sad.
Novi Sad is located on the E-75 Highway, while the E-70 Highway is 70 kilometers to the south in the direction of Belgrade. Border crossings with Hungary are located at Baki Breg (120 km), Kelebija (120 km), and Horgo (120 km) (118 km). Bezdan (112 km), Batrovci (90 km), and Bačka Palanka are the border crossings with Croatia (40 km). Srpska Crnja (101 km), Vatin (129 km), and Kaludjerovo (via Beograd) are the border crossings with Romania (199 km). Sremska Rača is the border crossing with Bosnia and Herzegovina (88 km). The “Nikola Tesla” (Belgrade) Airport is 70 kilometers from Novi Sad. Flight tickets can be purchased through your preferred travel company or any travel agent in Serbia. You can get information about transfers from Novi Sad to “Nikola Tesla” Airport in Belgrade at the Tourist Information Centres of the City of Novi Sad.
The local bus station at Bulevar Jaše Tomića 6 provides frequent intercity departures, both locally and internationally. You can find out more at gspns.rs. Novi Sad can be reached by the Danube, but only on cruising tours at the moment. The Danube Bike Path, part of the EuroVelo 6 bicycle route, runs 667 kilometers through Serbia from the Hungarian to the Bulgarian borders. In Novi Sad, bicycle tracks have been built along most major traffic routes, and there is also the NS Bike bicycle rental system. We recommend that you leave your car in one of the public garages if you plan to stay in Novi Sad for an extended period of time. The majority of Novi Sad’s accommodations have their own private parking space. Most gas stations are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Novi Sad is one of the stops on the international train route Vienna-Budapest-Belgrade (from 2025). Information about Novi Sad to Belgrade departures is available srbijavoz.rs.

SUBOTICA S ubotica is located in the northwestern part of the Republic
of Serbia, along the main European corridors and between two rivers: the Danube and the Tisa. This city is distinguished by its rich cultural heritage assets, lavishly decorated buildings, multicultural spirit, and European charm. Subotica is known for its laidback atmosphere, delicious food, and high-quality wines. All year long, our city has festivals, events, concerts, and a vibrant cultural life. Furthermore, Subotica has a variety of interesting places for rest and recreation, including activities on horse farms, farmsteads, forests, and hunting grounds. Subotica was first mentioned in written documents as Zabatka in 1391. It has undergone over 200 name changes since then. Szent-Maria, Maria Theresia Polis, Maria Theresienstadt, Szabadka, and Subotica were the most distinctive names. Following the Tatar con-
48
quest at the beginning of the 13th century, it grew in importance. The survivors from the nearby villages were then gathered at the strategically chosen location, an elevated plateau surrounded by water, on which the Franciscan church now stands. It was the ideal location for the plains people to defend themselves against the conquerors.
Subotica was long located on the border of two rival powers, Hungarian and Turkish. Subotica only became a town after it had lost its military significance. Subotica was granted the status of Free Royal City in 1779, which granted the town greater autonomy and privileges while also attracting entrepreneurs: craftsmen and traders from the Middle Europe. After the railway arrived in town in the second half of the nineteenth century (1869), the trade of agricultural and cattle goods boomed. At the end of the nineteenth century, the town experienced industrialization. Subotica evolved into a modern Middle European city.

SREMSKA MITROVICA SIRMIUM, THR BIRTHPLACE OF ROMAN EMPERORS
S remska Mitrovica is the Municipality of Sremska Mitrovica’s ad-
ministrative center in the District of Srem. It is the largest town in Srem, the District of Srem’s administrative center, and one of the oldest towns in Vojvodina and Serbia. The town is located on the Sava River’s left bank. During the Tetrarchy, the ancient city of Sirmium, which was located on the current territory of Sremska Mitrovica, was the capital of the Roman Empire. It was also referred to as “the glorious mother of all cities.” Sirmium was the birthplace of many Roman emperors. At the intersection of three distinct morphological units—the Plain of Srem, the Plain of Mava, and the foothills of Fruška Gora—Sremska Mitrovica is situated in the northwest of Serbia and the southwest of Vojvodina. The settlement, which has an average elevation of 82 meters, is located at 44 degrees and 58 minutes north latitude and 19 degrees
and 36 minutes east longitude. It extends along the south border of the Srem loess terrace and along the Sava River’s alluvial plain. The conurbation of Sremska Mitrovica, Laćarak, and Mačvanska Mitrovica on the left and right banks of the Sava River, respectively, and 23 villages make up the town of Sremska Mitrovica. In the National Park of Fruška Gora near Sremska Mitrovica (Ležimir and Letenka), there are various monasteries in addition to well-liked excursion destinations and recreation areas. Because its river basin near Sremska Mitrovica is ideal for this type of activity, the Sava River offers tremendous potential for river tourism (the town has a modern quay with the possibility for ships to berth, as well as the tidy beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches in Serbia). The unique nature reserve Zasavica is another natural attraction, and plans have been made to showcase the town’s architectural and archeological potential.

KIKINDA World Owl Capital T here were ancient settlements at Kikinda, according to archae-
ological findings, and in 1423, the place Nagkeken (Nađ Kekenj) is mentioned as the property of the Hungarian kings. Kewkend is mentioned in 1462 as well. Numerous hypothetical discussions and claims surround the origin of the city’s name. The Hungarian name of the weed plant in the uninhabited plain “kőkény,” the Turkish word “incindija” (second prayer), and the name of the nearby large mound “Kinđa” are the most commonly used explanations. Today’s name first appears on a geographical map in 1718 in the German variant “GrossKikinda,” and it did not denote a settlement at the time, but rather an uninhabited area - wasteland. In 1947, the city was given its current name, Kikinda. Kikinda was founded 260 years ago, in 1751. In about twenty years, Banat’s neglected land with large swamps was transformed into a prosperous economic area. Wastelands have been converted
60
into arable land by cutting canals, regulating river flows, and building roads. A few decades later, Germans, Hungarians, and Jews settled the city, first planned, then spontaneously, and the French arrived in the area of today’s Kikind municipality, i.e. the village. The population began to become heavily involved in agriculture. Empress Maria Theresa established the Veliko Kikinda Privileged District as a special organizational unit with its headquarters in Kikinda about twenty years after the town’s settlement, in 1774. As a result, the populace received certain benefits, primarily in the fields of economy, judiciary, and politics. The city’s current identity was formed in the latter half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The most beautiful buildings of stylish civil architecture were constructed at that time, and they were concentrated in the city center. The Serbian Orthodox Church, built in 1769, and the Magistrate of the Privileged District of Veliko-Kikinda’s building are the oldest.

VRŠAC
Following the wine route
V ršac, one of the most beautiful towns in the Banat, is located
in the northeastern part of Serbia, i.e. the southeastern part of Vojvodina, at the foot and on the slopes of the Vrac Mountains. The natural reserve Deliblato Sands, also known as the “European Sahara,” occupies a portion of the territory of the municipality of Vršac. It is 84 kilometers northeast of Belgrade, 14 kilometers from the border with Romania, 77 kilometers from Timisoara, the administrative center of western Romania, and 147 kilometers from Novi Sad. Numerous old buildings of various styles, churches, and cultural institutions preserve one of Serbia’s oldest traditions. “City under the Tower” is one of Vojvodina’s oldest. It is the eighth-largest city in the world, with a population of 40,000 people. The area where two different economic areas meet - the plains and the Vršac mountains, have always attracted people to build their habitats there, because the land is suitable for farming, viticulture and cattle breeding, spacious marsh-

es allowed rich fishing, forests full of wild game were ideal hunting grounds. Vršac is primarily a city of important cultural institutions, which, in terms of their funds, scope of activity and importance, exceed its limits and belong to the most important cultural institutions of Serbia. Architectural values represent special historical and cultural monuments. Vršac has preserved individual buildings as well as entire complexes of the surrounding environment, which are beautiful examples of various styles, particularly the Baroque and Art Nouveau eras. The autochthonousness of the facades has been preserved, and their inventive riches have been enhanced, giving the city its unique character. Among these structures are objects with historical, economic, ethnographic, and architectural significance.

South Banat is a unique tourist area, in which Vršac has a special place and importance, hiding in its bosom an extraordinary wealth of cultural traditions. With its picturesque surroundings, large vineyard plantations, rich forests as oases of peace and clean air, a significant treasure of cultural goods as well as a diverse social and cultural life, Vršac has always been and remains an interesting and attractive place for tourists. In the middle of the vast Vojvodina plain, the Vršac Mountains rise, known for their diverse flora, especially for their medicinal herbs and beneficial climate for asthmatics. The Vršac mountains with their three trails are interesting for both extreme sports and less dangerous ones: paragliding, hiking, running, fast walking, cycling, recreational walks, etc.
