DEMOLITION NOTES FOLLOWING

ALL LIGHT FIXTURES ARE TO BE EARTHQUAKE CLIPPED AT THE CORNERS, AS REQUIRED TO MEET APPLICABLE CODE REQUIREMENTS.

INSTALL CEILLING EDGE TRIM TO THE PARTITION SURFACE FREE FROM CURVES, BREAKS, WARPS, DEFECTS, OR OTHER IRREGULARITIES.

PROVIDE SMOKE DETECTORS AND STROBE LIGHT ALARMS AS REQUIRED TO MEET ALL APPLICABLE CODE REQUIREMENTS AND REGULATIONS. SPACE SMOKE DETECTORS AT THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE DISTANCE SPECIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURES REQUIREMENTS FOR UNIT TO UNIT SPACING AND UNIT TO MECHANICAL SUPPLY DIFFUSERS AS DESIGNED IN THE NFPA. ALIGN SMOKE DETECTOR LAYOUT WITH CENTERLINE PRODOMINATE LIGHT FIXTURE.

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE SITE MANAGEMENT OFFICE WITH THE NAMES, PHONE NUMBERS, AND OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION TO OF ALL SUBCONTRACTORS USED DURING DEMOLITION, THE DATES OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY IN THE TENANT PREMISES, AND COPIES OF ALL REQUIRED INSURANCE CERTIFICATES PRIOR TO START OF ANY WORK.

2.

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE THE SITE MANAGEMENT OFFICE A COPY OF ALL NECESSARY PERMITS PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY WORK. PERMITS WILL BE ALSO BE POSTED ON SITE.

3.

CONTRACTOR WILL FIELD VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS AND DIMENSIONS. NOTIFY THE DESIGNER OR ARCHITECT IF DISCREPANCIES IN FIELD CONDITIONS BEFORE DEMOLITION OCCURS.

4.

CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REMOVING, CAPPING, DISCONNECTING, OR SEALING ANY PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, OR MECHANICAL IN A CODE APPROVED MANNER.

5.

REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALL EXISTING CEILING AND CARPET ELEMENTS.

6.

NO FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS OR MATERIALS SHALL BE STORED ON THE JOB SITE.

7.

GENERAL CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LEAVING THE JOB SITE IN A CLEAN AND ORGANIZED CONDITION.

8.

ANY PENETRATIONS TO THE FLOOR, WALLS, OR CEILING MUST BE APPROVED BY THE ARCHITECT WITH NO LESS THEN 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE TO ANY START OF WORK.

DEMOLITION MUST OCCUR IN A SAFE AND ORDERLY MANNER AS REQUIRED TO PROTECT EXISTING FOUNDATIONS, STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS, AND ANY OTHER REMAINING MEMBERS. DEMOLITION WILL BE PHASED ACCORDING TO CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE.

BURNING OF MATERIALS ON SITE IS NOT PERMITTED.
