collectors club Rings are the most evocative and personal category of jewelry. No other category compares for their symbolism and significance. For over 4000 years rings have conveyed a deeper message. Worn every day and purchased on our most special occasions, a ring can represent a promise of eternal love, a mark of status or a token of remembrance. The rings here havesurvived wars, declared true love and aided their bearers in marking time and celebration. Becoming a collector of rings honors the layers of sentiment bound to every one while preserving the generations of craft contained in each design.

the bell and bird ouroboros bangle There are few creatures embraced by both religion and art. Most others have fascinated mankind because of their impressive size and strength. Snakes on the other hand, are insignificant in appearance, yet in the hierarchy of animals they rank so high they have attained near divine status. All sorts of human characteristics have been assigned to them, ranging from cunning and deceitfulness to wisdom and prudence. Snakes rouse powerful emotional responses from one person to another. The serpent wound its way through 19th century jewelry design as a talisman and symbol of enduring love. Ladies of the European nobility wore snakes in all forms; necklaces, bracelets,

brooches, and finger rings. Most notably, Queen Victoria was given a serpent ring set with emeralds upon her engagement. So many serpent jewels have passed through our own hands, it is only fitting the first piece presented in our ongoing Bell and Bird collection would be a snake. For us, it represents infinity, renewal and eternal love. Each bracelet is created individually in our workroom and fitted to each owner’s wrist, allowing the details to be chosen by you. Antique stones inlaid into the head, enamel details, or simply hand engraved scales. Each snake bracelet includes carefully selected gemstone eyes that brings it to life.
