ABOUT NIVA NIVA American International School was established in 1991, and has since earned a reputation for its genuineness and integrity as a school that cares about the wants and dreams of parents and students. CURRICULUM NIVA American International School follows a structured American curriculum and educational programing to meet the needs of Thailand and the international community of students. The NIVA curriculum incorporates Asian and European strands along with the main American strands to emphasize high standards, independence and choices, pragmatism, global citizenship and character development. NIVA graduates can join any university program, whether it is American, British or
other national and international programs. When it comes to determining what career paths our graduating students will choose, the Guidance Department provides early career and college education insight and continual guidance for our students. The Guidance Department also helps with preparing students for admissions to colleges and universities, as well as in securing scholarships for students who have been highly motivated.
NURSERY & KINDERGARTEN The day-to-day environment at NIVA naturally instills a love of learning as we share our own passion for learning with our students. NIVA students learn through well thought out creative learning activities. At NIVA, we teach through nurturing the child and conscientiously setting the foundation for the development of the mind and body. Children learn the essential basics of literacy in both English and Thai, mathematics, science and social studies. Students also learn to express themselves and enjoy creative experiences while learning art, music, and physical development activities. Additionally. NIVA students enjoy taking part in other practical life skills such as cooking, swimming, and other extracurricular activities.
ELEMENTARY At NIVA, our programming is structured to allow students to have congruency in both curricular and co-curricular activities. This marriage allows students to have a simultaneous exposure to critical elements of the NIVA program while enriching their understanding of traditional academics. NIVA students acquire English both experientially as well as formally in their classes, where their focus on English speaking is the cornerstone of their language acquisition. We believe that our fully immersive environment trains students to be successful life-long learners. Students who complete their studies at NIVA’s academically competitive elementary school are primed for success as they matriculate into middle school and high school.
SECONDARY NIVA’s secondary curriculum teaches entrepreneurial, scientific, technological, and critical thinking skills. Biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and liberal arts courses are taught up to American Advanced Placement (AP) level. Our high school students are also primed for SAT and AP exams, project-based learning, and public speaking. Students also take charge of leading and running over 80% of the events held on campus. NIVA students are not only ready to enter university but are also ready to lead!

Preparing students for acceptance into TOP INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY PROGRAMS Harit Phromphol is an alumnus of NIVA American International School. Mr. Phromphol successfully passed the aero medical examinations and was selected for Air cadet in 2011 with a Commercial Pilot License, Aero Plane, at the International Aviation College, Nakorn Phanom University of Thailand. He Graduated with the title, “Top of Flight”, which is the highest score in flight school. “Although I was an average student in school, NIVA had prepared me to achieve excellence in almost every aspect of life. NIVA did that by teaching me the fundamentals of being a successful student, not only to be great at the academics and the English language, but also to be great at teamwork and leadership skills. I guarantee the current students, that when you find yourself in college doing presentations in front of the class, you will be the most
experienced speakers and will be the most comfortable on stage because NIVA has given you all the training during your years here.” Mr. Phromphol went on to say: “Being a pilot, teamwork is a core skill that is needed to be effective; in fact, it was part of the test in the pre-pilot selection process. At this particular point, I remembered how NIVA taught me life-essential skills to prepare for my pre-pilot selection. Student-led activities such as the prom taught me to prioritize tasks and work within a limited span of time. I still use these essential skills in my everyday life as a pilot. My experience at NIVA is unforgettable; the memories have always put a smile on my face. Without NIVA, I would not have come this far. I love the school...it is my second home.”
