Walk the wellness walk

As an employer it can feel daunting to integrate a staff wellbeing strategy but if you want to combat the rising tide of absenteeism, presentism and minimise staff turnover then focusing on your team’s mental and physical health is key. Here at Silver Linings Wellbeing, we have been running events and retreats for nearly ten years and we know that businesses of all sizes see wide-ranging benefits when they focus on staff wellness.

In just a few simple steps you can create a more positive working environment and long-term cultural change by elevating staff wellbeing. It starts at the top, so managers and directors need to be prepared to ‘walk the wellness walk’ and give ‘permission’ for staff to integrate some simple steps into their weekly schedule.

Here are a few ideas that are inexpensive and easy to integrate into the working day and week

• Daily Meditation/Walk time – allocate just 15 minutes and encourage the team to put this in the diary

• Wellness Wednesday – allow a later start time or and earlier finish time to allow staff to head to a class or wellness activity of their choice https://www.youtube.com/ @slbychrissy https://www.youtube.com/@ SilverLiningsHome-sp9vb

• Purchase some mats & gift them to your team – with so much fantastic free content staff can access online, why not give them the tools so that they have what they need to create a home wellness space for the days they are working from home or before and after work.

• Access SL by Chrissy and Silver Linings @Home – these are our free digital wellness channels dedicated to holistic wellness.

Our expert team deliver sessions to suit everybody and all you need is a mat to enjoy: Pilates, Yoga, HIIT, meditation, nutrition guidance and more!
