What to do First
In most cases a Medical Cause of Death Certificate will be completed. This may be given to you on the ward. If you are not given the Certificate the Bereavement Service will contact you when this has been done. This can take a few days.
It would be helpful to advise if your arrangements are for Cremation or Burial.

Appointments outside these hours can be arranged if necessary.
We would advise that you DO NOT make an appointment to register the death until the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death is issued.
