Visiting your loved one

Soon after a patient dies, they are taken to the Mortuary while arrangements are made. In the Mortuary there is a special room set aside for relatives to see their loved one.

At The Cumberland Infirmary this is the Lavender Suite.

At West Cumberland Hospital it is the Mortuary visiting room.

If you wish to visit, please ring the Mortuary to arrange an appointment.

You may prefer to visit your loved one at the Funeral Directors appointed by you to make the arrangements.
