All Star Performance On Tuesday 21st May twenty two students from Years 7, 8 and 9 joined in a performance workshop with practitioners from All Stars Project with the aim of learning how to transform themselves, their school and their community through the use of improvisation and drama. It was impressive to see so many students
experimenting with Drama. Afsana (Year 8) said “I found this workshop helpful as it boosted my confidence.” Orlando (Year 8) said “We learnt a lot about Drama and confidence. If you pretend you know something it hides that you are actually scared. It’s useful for a job interview.” Ms Jahangard, Drama

On Tuesday 21st May New Spitalfields Market could not have been prepared for what it was about to encounter. For one day only, BGA’s very own students would be taking over a pitch and selling their products directly to the public. Our Sixth Form BTEC Business entrepreneurs, CBN Stylez & Colours of the Future, joined forces to bring life to their textbooks and implement the markeMng strategies learnt this term. This ‘one-‐day-‐only’ event is part of our Artbeat Enterprise project and was a culminaMon of many long hours spent developing their products and sales techniques. Despite an ominously grey skyline, the rain held off and the students were able to drum up sales of £138. Two stalls adjacent to ours did not raise enough revenue to cover the cost of renMng their pitch, making our students’ achievement all the more impressive! Mr Olomowewe, Creative Technologies

The yet-to-be-named garden will be packed with delicious pumpkins, courgettes, chili peppers, cabbage, broccoli and fresh herbs which can be used in school meals. Our flowers will attract bumble bees who are great pollinators and play a key role in producing the food we eat! Our new garden needs you! Greenfingered students will have the opportunity to connect with nature, learn how to grow their own food and live a healthy lifestyle.
The plants will need plenty of care and attention so we will be setting up gardening clubs so that staff and students can help to make the garden a growing success. If you would like to be part of the gardening team please contact Mr. De Souza or Ms. Taylor. A massive thanks to horticultural consultant, Steve Mason and his team and everyone who gave up their time to create this fantastic garden.
