Year 10 Cambridge Uni visit

Student Council 2017

Congratulations to the following students who are GSAS’s new Student Council team!

On 24th – 25th September, Nazir Ahmed, Layla Samriye, Mamun Uddin, Tahseen Abdul, Aslihan Yildirim and Ms James went on a residential trip to Clare College University of Cambridge. On this trip, students were able to gain a better understanding of university, consider degree requirements so that they can gain a place at university and understand the importance of hard work and determination. The students had a fantastic time. By Marcel Somerlinck, 8JWa “This trip was one of the most useful trips I have ever been on. Even though it was just for the night, I feel I have learnt new things and experienced the life of a university student. However, the biggest lesson I learnt was that university is really hard work and to get to where you want and study what you want (which for me is medicine), working starts today. Start as early as you can!” Aslihan Yildirim 10AAk
