Waves of interest in luxury coastal homes

VERWHELMING interest has been shown in a bunch of five new houses close to Clevedon’s seafront, according to builder Cotswold Homes. Two of the four-bedroom contemporary homes on Lea Grove Road have already sold, and the first occupier has moved in. Meanwhile, appointments to see the show home – open for the first time last Saturday – were “snapped up”, according to Cotswold Homes’ Terri Hayes-Pugh. Each house includes a high-specification kitchen by Moores, with integrated Smeg appliances, and bathrooms with sanitary ware by Villeroy and Boch. There is an open-plan kitchen/family room on the ground floor. The top-floor master bedroom has en suite bath/shower room and a walk-in wardrobe. This room opens on to a south-facing sun terrace. Its view of Woodspring Bay embraces landmarks which include the clifftop Poet’s Walk, the headland above Sand Point and the island of Steep Holm. THE quick sales performance at a residential development in Bristol shows signs that the region’s apartment market is “flying,” according to the builder. Allen House, by Charles Church Severn Valley, is a development of 43 one, two and three-bedroom homes on Ashley Down Road. The £5.5m scheme, which is a total renovation of a former Victorian orphanage, was officially opened just over four months ago by the Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Faruk Choudhury. Now only seven apartments remain for sale.
