LETTER OF ADVICE
PHOTO OF ME Dear King Edward, I am in shambles, I am to get married to a man whom I have never met, I hope to never meet him as-well. My father insists that I marry him for he is wealthy and a baron. I on the other hand think he is horrible, ugly, and discussing. I have until the end of lent so if you could respond quickly that would be seriously appreciated. Sincerely, Catherine
Dear Catherine, My condolences for you and your situation. I have no advice that could help you but I will tell you this: do not blame your father for this, it is I who should be blamed. If you were to read the feudal contract between your father and I then you would understand that marrying you off to another baron is part of the deal. He is just trying to keep you and your family safe. My apologize, King Edward Longshanks

Town Life. As feudalism withered away towns and cities became a place for people to flock to. As town life grew so did trade and arts. In-fact one of the main reasons for towns was the new section of the feudal ladder, merchants. Stands would be set up with dierent carts people would trade goods and fine art. Cities and towns were very safe and more economically based. Stores started to open and jobs opened up mostly for those who could read and write. Some common characteristics of a town would be: a wall to keep criminals out, very close houses, many markets and stores, and people walking around wearing pleated skirting, tunics, surcoats, and wool. Night bells rang at nighttime and watchmen would patrol the streets

All in all Medieval times were not the fairytale life that we think of them as now. Although they had there mildly uninteresting times, the Middle Ages are a huge part of our earths history. Many of the events back then eect us today, for instance if the battle of tours did not take place then the main religion in both Europe and the U.S may be islamic. All in all this time period was filled with rich history and amazing events that changed life as we know it today.
