DARK TIMES IN EUROPE
The time on when Europe entered its Medieval Age The Middle Ages was a chaotic and dark time in Europe from the Fall of Rome to the Renassauns. A lot of things happen from 476 to the 14 hundreds. There will be more inform on the time period of the Fall of Rome to the Renassauns in the next two magazine for more inform of the time period but now we won’t talk about that now. Europe was not controlled by one designated empire, it was controlled by different barbaric trips in which later form their own empire like the Franks, Anglo Saxons, Holy Roman empire, Sananavians, Byzantines, Scotland etc. It has been through a lot of things that was death. The most common thing that happen was war but there were diseases that knock out thousand of people. Although, Europe Medieval Age could be much more different. Europe could of been taken over by a empire that had spread far more quicker than the Roman empire and its has a different religion that spread with the empire too that was much more quicker than Christianity. The Islamic empire could of spread to Europe and made all of the Christians there Islamic. They stop at

modern Spain because they where beaten at the Battle of Tours. If it weren’t for the courageous Charles the Hammer Martel to make a Frank army that would stand up against the Moors. The Moors met the Franks at a hill that was wisely chosen by the Franks in between the cities of Tours and the city of Poitiers. For about six days, both armies stood their group and the place they were in. Then the Moors made the first move, they began with calvary(most of the Moors battles in Europe had calvary (and it was a great thing because when the Moors calvary charged earlier battles, it completely crushed the Frank armies before the Battle of Tours.) but the Franks had infantry men that had spears. That was not a good thing for the Moors calvary because they were knock off. The Franks won the battle and killed the Moors general, Abdul Rahman Al Ghafiqi.
The Life in Medieval Europe times. The life in Medieval Europe was quit short for a child. Most of the children lived until they were 10. Most nobles would have taxed their people really harsh. When they want to tax the people, it will be done. No matter what happen, in wars or traveling across their empire, everyone greeted them with the best respect and loyalty from anyone in any town they go to. The timeline of Europe’s Medieval Age was a 1,000 years of darkness for Europe. It was slitted up into three parts. One is the Early Middle Ages, High Middle Ages and the Late Middle Ages. The Early Middle Ages lasted 500 years, the next was 250 years and the last on was 250 years.
Medieval Lifestyle In the Middle Ages, the people would lived there were mostly serfs/peasants. Food was mostly scarce because of people would burn the fields, maybe cut off food supplies and the amount of taxes the lord gets. Some people would gain their own freedom, but they would not have the protection of the lord. Life was a system called the feudal system(A group of lower class people who gave their obedience
and working the fiefs in exchange of land, shelter and protection.). The lowest class and the most was the serfs and peasants. Next, is the knights. They are more useful than the serfs because they can go out into battles and fight

for the lord or king. Then, are the lords, ladies and bishops. They have more respect from the kings and for the church, the pope. They would give up their knights and taxes for land and protection too. The bishops had lands of their own, but it belong to the church. Lastly are the Kings, Queens and the pope. They had all the rights and respect from all of the people and loyal nobles as well.
Medieval Castles Castle’s in the Medieval times were built around a moat and some castles were built out of stone. The castles parts were the drawbridge, porculus, turret, outer wall, the couture yard and the Keep. All Medieval castles were built to protect the serfs and mostly the lord/lady/king/ queen. Most castles were inpeterable, but as the 15th century was ending, the us of gunpowder came and gun, canyons became more affective and the canyons would terry down walls like a wooden house being pulled down from tools.

I have being treated like a rat and your stewart is one of the most cruelest stewart I have ever known. He taxes us really hard, has us work really hard, doesn’t give us a bunch of food to eat, he has taken all of my things, he has made me a wolf’s head of what I might become in the future and he has put shillings and farthings on whoever kills me. I have left the manor and got a new master but he still wants me dead. I don’t like it. He thinks I might ruined his plans on becoming his lord. I now know that I am a heir to you but my royal blood is just poison. I really want to be a free man but it has been going down hill. All I want is to be a free man and not to be control by a single lord Sinscler, Crispin Dear Crispin, this may
