SEPTEMBER 2020 ISSUE

Happy Happy September Bellflower Key Club! I hope your first few weeks of school have been more relaxing than stressful! Though school is unfortunately online as of right now, there are going to be future events and service projects to keep us all engaged with our community! Bellflower Key Club highly encourages our members to keep school work and studies first. Summer allowed us more time to focus on service as well as our hobbies, but Key Club values education, and we want you all to as well! This first semester may go by in a breeze, so make sure to keep being focused and motivated on your goals! Thank YOU for constantly helping us reach our service of 2,000 hours, we’re getting there! For now, kick back and enjoy our September issue! Kickin’ for Service,

I hope everyone is adjusting to school fine! How’s everyone doing distance learning so far? I know this school year isn’t starting off the way we hoped, but make sure to continue social distancing and wearing your masks, and hopefully we can return back to school soon! It is officially recruitment season, so make sure to stay updated with our social media for how to join! (hint: only $5 club dues this year :)) We'll be releasing a series of Key Club 101 videos on our instagram and youtube channel so stay tuned for more of those! You can watch the first episode out now! Make sure to stay updated with us and join our google classroom for upcoming service projects this month! I hope you guys are all doing well, make sure to stay positive during these tough times, and I hope you enjoy reading this issue of the Ninja Times! Kickin’ for Service,

The Month of August may not have had as many service events, but our keyclubbers still showed up nonetheless! From UNICEF Math, to Letters of Guidance, to social distancing events such as the Creamistry Fundraiser, it’s been an amazing month! We are almost at the halfway mark of our service hour goals! Way to go Bellflower Key Club and keep it up!

So stick with us because Division 13 South is gonna do it all! August 22nd was the Phineas and Ferb themed DCM! We hope you an enjoyable time! We want to congratulate one our Vice Presidents, Audrey Austria for being awarded with DLT Member of the Month, as well as our club for making the Bee Clean Service Week the Service Project of the Month! Our members have continuously worked hard throughout the summer, so thank YOU guys!!

Every Monday throughout the month of August, Division 13 South’s Spotlight on Service was centered around UNICEF. Every Monday members were able to solve math problems, which raised money for children in poverty. A huge thank you to our members for this act of service!

From August 19-21, Bellflower Key Club hosted the Color a Smile Service Project, to brighten up a child’s life, and our own members as well! With school starting up again, we wanted to implement service projects that are fun, easy, and impactful! Thank you to everyone who participated!
