What's Poppin’ Bellflower Key Club! Can you believe we’re already halfway through the term? We’ve spent the last 6 months persevering and adapting to quarantine, still finding ways to serve our community. I am so proud of everyone for getting through these past few months. To our newest members! Welcome to the Key Club family! We are so excited to be a part of your Key Club journey and can’t wait to see where Key Club takes you! Thank you to everyone for coming to Region 8 Training Conference 2020! I hope everyone was able to have a good time and learn so much! (even if my workshop didn’t end in time lol) RTC is one of my favorite events to attend and I hope it was still enjoyable for you regardless of the circumstances. To all our seniors, good luck on your college applications! Keep in mind that UC apps are due November 30 and CSU apps are due December 4. FAFSA was also recently released so make sure to apply for FAFSA ASAP!! Get on that grind fam! Once again, thank you to our historian, Coral Pongsuwan for publishing our wonderful newsletter! October 10th was World Mental Health Day, in which Bellflower Key Club created a service event to motivate and uplift friends and loved ones. Members created info-graphics to inform people about mental health, as well as tips how to care for one’s well being. Thank you to everyone who was able to participate, and hopefully your creations can change someone’s mindset.

From the 16th-18th, Bellflower Key Club created a service event where our members utilized the app Freerice to take quizzes on new words. These quizzes allow our members to donate five grains of rice per every correct word, in order to help someone in need. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Color A Smile is an organization Bellflower Key has become familiar with, so we decided to participate in National Color Day! Using the Color A Smile website, members were able to print out picture to color and send back to Color A Smile. These drawings then get mailed to a child in need of uplifting! Thank you all for participating!

Bellflower Key Club’s Spotlight Service was directed towards our healthcare professionals! The service consisted of writing letters and sending them to healthcare professionals! Though COVID is still present, healthcare professionals have stayed diligent and we wanted to acknowledge that, as well as encourage them to keep going.
