What’s up guys? It’s Khlowee, your president/Division Executive Assistant, wishing you an awesome summer break! I would like to thank everyone who attended TokyOTC (Officer Training Conference)/June DCM. I hope it was a great learning experience for you all. This summer, the Bellflower Key Club cabinet has been working hard to prepare a fun and amazing term, and we are beyond excited to share what’s in store! My hopes for this term is for you to continue (or start) your Key Club journey and immerse yourself in fun and memorable experiences while helping others! I can’t wait for for future events, and I hope to see you there!

Greetings, ninjas! I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer vacation thus far! First, I want to thank all of you guys for the service you have completed this past school year, and for making the past term/school year the best that it could be! As our summer break continues, I highly encourage all of you guys to continue serving our local communities by participating in our service events this summer. I also highly encourage you guys to continue your participation in all Key Club events this summer so that you guys can help us a head start on our club goals! Additionally, I also hope that you guys utilize this break to unwind and start preparing for the next school year by establishing goals, whether they are Key Club- related or not. I hope you guys can enjoy the rest of your summer break, and I hope to see you guys at our upcoming events this summer!

Daniel Le Vice President

Julianne Miana Vice President

Hi-ya ninjas! It’s your vice president/division tech editor, Daniel Le and we have finally reached the end of the school year! Enjoy your summer break everyone, I know this school year was very stressful at some points for all of us. However, just because it is summer, does not mean we have to stop the service! We will continue to have more service events as well as social events, such as out D13 TokyOTC and Region 8 Olympics and I highly recommend you attend as many events as you can! Don’t be afraid to break out of your shell and make new friends this summer! Once again, enjoy your summer break!

Jazz Nario Secretary

Greetings, ninjas! Even though the school year was coming to a close, our club was still on that service hours grind, accumulating over 100 hours during the month of May! Keep up the great work. Also, although summer break has begun--and we encourage you to enjoy your break as much as possible--we also encourage you all to be as active as ever (e.g. participating in service events)! And if you have any questions, comments, ot concerns, do not be afraid to contact any of our cabinet members! On that note, enjoy your summer break, ninjas!

Hey what’s up guys, it’s me Andrea, your very own treasurer! School is finally over so summer has taken its path, make sure to have fun and be safe, also make sure to attend our service events, summer can be pretty boring so these events can save you from dying of boredom. This month was very stressful but we still worked through it and had many events that were very successful! The cabinet will be working very closely together to plan out this upcoming school years term so make sure to join again this upcoming school year. :)

Andrea Ramirez Treasurer

Hey guys it’s AJ, your SAA! I am happy to announce that the month of May was a success! There were so many events that went above and beyond. From the Blood Drive turn out to the spirit emoting from the Pride Parade. The end of the year came to a close and of course I am sad to see fellow long time KC members go, but this is also an opportunity to see potential members members blossom and new members sprout. The year might be over but Key Club pride goes on!

CLUB UPDATE

TBD SERVICE HOUR GOAL

TBD FUNDRAISER GOAL

FOR THE MONTH OF MAY, BELLFLOWER KEY CLUB PARTICIPATED IN OUR ANNUAL BLOOD DRIVE, CLIMATE FEST, MAY DCM, AND OUR ANNUAL KEY CLUB BANQUET. THERE WERE ALSO THE LITERACY FAIR, EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION FESTIVAL, KIWANIS ALL STAR BASEBALL GAME, AND THE LONG BEACH PRIDE PARADE.

6

EVENT RECAP CLIMATE FEST The City of Long Beach decided to develop its first-ever Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP), to keep residents and neighborhoods safe and healthy with more hot days, more intense storms, and other climate change effects. The festival was arranged to have the people of Long Beach more aware of global warming and the solution the City of Long Beach has come up with. Our division was given the opportunity to get involved and support the cause. What the city wants to look forward to is also addressing and pushing for further changes to better their environment and community! We heard from our Key clubbers that this event was very successful and fun to be apart of!

MAY DCM May DCM was a blast! The DLT sold lemonade and the division participated in the ELEMONATE challenge! There was also a service project, where everyone wrote letters to a care home. There were many fun icebreakers that got us to get to know more about people from the other schools We also got the bread stick again this time around!

7

EVENT RECAP BLOOD DRIVE Our annual Blood Drive turned out to be successful with more than 100 donors! The club members helped out by preparing food for the donors, walking them back to their classes, as well as donating themselves. We are very thankful for the people that donated, and hope to see you at the next blood drive!

BELLFLOWER KIWANIS BANQUET This year’s banquet was phenomenal. There was the annual talent show, with many acts that came from our own club! Each club presented awards to their cabinet, as well as any members that came. As well as, passing down of the roles from the old term to the new. We would like to thank our seniors, now alumni, for putting in all their hard work, and dedication into this club. As well as our general members that continue to go to each event without fail.
