KEY CLUB 101 Learn about Key Club’s preferred charities!
March of Dimes is a non-profit organization that seeks to prevent premature birth, one of the leading causes of infant mortality worldwide, through research. Key Club collaborates with this organization to help advance their purpose by raising funds annually.
The Thirst Project is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to make safe and clean drinking water more accessible to global communities where it might not be immediately available. Every year during March, Key Club participates in the “Dirty Little Secret” campaign to spread awareness about this organization’s goal.
Children’s Miracle Network of Hospitals raises funds for its member hospitals, for medical research, and for increasing awareness of children’s hospitals and health issues. Money raised by this organization often funds the provision of lifesaving healthcare services and resources to families who might not be able to afford them.
In 2010, Kiwanis International partnered with UNICEF to create the initiative called “The Eliminate Project,” a program that aims to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) worldwide and protect lives through the provision of lifesaving services. Key Club has been able to contribute to this cause by Trick-or Treating with UNICEF to raise money.
Created in 1994 by the CNH Kiwanis Foundation, the Pediatric Trauma Program aims to reduce the number of children who are killed or injured by trauma through education and training in pediatric trauma and injury prevention.
