IBA’S PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS

The Indo-German Biogas Partnership: Since 2016, the German Biogas Association (GBA) and IBA are jointly working in, ‘The Indo-German Biogas Partnership’ to foster development of the biogas industry in India. The partnership between the IBA and GBA has been instrumental in terms of several crucial milestones achieved over the last 6 years; some of them being setting up of online helpline, organization of annual training tours, biogas conference, delegation trip of government officials to Germany, launch of the mobile app, informative brochures, state of art biogas lab , online learning platforms, and the list just continues.

Sixth year and on going, the extended run of the partnership is indeed a turnaround moment for the Indian renewable sector, as this shall propel the IBA to continue with its focused and persistent efforts toward fostering the development of the biogas industry in India.

Partnership with PEDA: Indian Biogas Association signed an MOU with Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) in March 2022. The main objective of the MOU is to foster the development of the Biogas industry in the Punjab state. Both organizations will be working on capacity building, developing, awareness generation and increasing industry participation in Punjab RE initiatives to make Punjab a role model state in the bioenergy sector.

Partnership with NIBE: Indian Biogas Association signed an MOU with Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Bio-Energy (SSS-NIBE), Kapurthala (An autonomous Institution under the Ministry New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Govt. of India) in 2020. The main objectives of the MOU are working on research and development initiatives related to the biogas sector, capacity building, developing, providing, and streamlining of sector-specific training, developing modules for the training programs, and increasing industry networks to promote the biogas sector and to present it on national level.
