Just like mustard greens, collard greens help lower cholesterol and are an anticancer powerhouse. Strong-flavored leafy greens like these two examples are detoxifying, antioxidant, and antiinflammatory, so include them in your diet (and your juices) as often as you can. You can learn to like them—if you don’t already—by starting to consume them little by little.

1 cup collard greens ½ cup parsley 1 cup lettuce ½ cucumber ½ orange 1 carrot 2 celery ribs
Process all the ingredients in a juicer and serve.
You may have noticed that most of our juices have a cucumber base. This veggie is mother nature’s offering to juicers, as it has buckets of water and goes well with mostly anything. Chinese medicine uses it to dissipate heat, and as a diuretic, laxative, and detoxifying aid.
