Apple Tart
½ cucumber 3 celery ribs ½ grapefruit, peeled ½-inch piece ginger, peeled
Process all the ingredients in a juicer and serve. My family has always been a big fan of apple juice. My mom used to buy big pints of it all the time when I was a kid, and they would be gone in a matter of minutes. As much as we adore it, nothing compares to its freshly made version, especially when combined with a tart piece of grapefruit and the exotic heat of ginger. When juicing citrus fruits, you can leave the skin on if you want because this is where a lot of the nutrients are found. The one exception is grapefruit, because the skin is far too bitter. Peel the fruit but try to keep the white pith that lies between the skin and the pulp. This way you will get most of this fruit’s health in your juice.
