I have to admit I don’t use pomegranate often enough in my recipes. But when I do, I love watching the way these sweet and tart seeds transform most juices. The magnetic color is telling of their great antioxidant properties. This explains why these precious seeds are one of the superfoods of our time.

Makes 1 glass

2 cups pomegranate seeds 1 heart of romaine 2 carrots ½-inch piece ginger, peeled ½ lemon

Juice all the ingredients and serve.

If you can’t find fresh pomegranate, you may replace it with a good-quality, organic, sugar-free juice. Otherwise, replace it in this recipe with organic cherries or red grapes.
